In a comic talzin was so much of a threat that Sidious himself alongside Dooku and Grievous attacked talzin and maul and Grievous killed talzin by stabbing her and maul escaped

But for sure the most underrated character in all of Star Wars

Honestly, Mother Talzin is the most underrated character in Star Wars.her protective dome could withstand the power of lightning of Sidious and Dooku combined to destroy her body it took the power of Sidious Dooku and Grievous for Sidious himself she was the biggest threat (like Yoda and Mace Windu) in one of the series she fought on equal terms with Mace Windu who could winSidious.however, Sidious should not yield to Talzin but she did not show all her abilities + she is able to influence on a spiritual level

Sidious fought Talzin to a standstill in the “Heart of her power”. And on Dathomir where Magick is amplified. Sidious kills any version of Talzin not at her heart.

@@blackmarketgamingTheLukaski Sidious wasn't winning alone. He had help from Dooku and Grievous. Talzin requires ichor to strengthen her, she lost alot of her power by recovering Maul. Talzin also didn't complete the ritual as it was interupted and Dooku wasn't dead, which means she wasn't at her strongest and manage to hold both dooku and Sidious back. When she vsed Mace she was in her weakest form and held her own. Sidious even said her meddling can affect all his plans, which showed she was a massive threat and can rival him if she got the Queen power, otherwise he wouldn't care about her.

in comics sidious and talzin dabbled in the dark side together and during their fight she stalemated him in force powers and lightning attacks. she even briefly 2v1 Sidious and Dooku, it took Greivous jumping her 3v1 for talzin to be defeated. Aside from Sidious himself she was probably the most powerful darkside user of the late Clone War era. He considered her a grave threat to the plan along with Yoda.

If you make Mother Talzin, not care about anything but power, I believe she wins. Her sacrifices, left her weakened.

The one thing Sidious had over Talzin was resources. Talzin was born with the odds against her, not even decades before her time the nightsisters were fractured and divided by war. Dathomir despite it's reputation is a desolate planet with not much going on besides magick. Magick itself is just a fraction of the darkside, and unlike Sidious she never had natural force abilities to aid her.

I mean... pretty sure Dathomiri magic is just a sub-type of the force, no? I thought that was pretty clear, especially with Sidious and Sith in general performing similar rituals throughout the series and comics. I think they're sides of the same coin, and the argument can simply be made in reverse that Sidious isn't the best sorceror around just a really competent dark-sider. I honestly think they're one in the same, and they're functionally identical.

@@gamer1X12 Exactly, Talzin cannot use the force like Sidious. She can only use a very specific sub-type of it, as she is canonically not naturally force sensitive. Which means it's all the more impressive that she could hold her own two feet against Sidious with so much of the odds against her.

Fun fact:Sidous was actually scared to go and fight her on his own so he sent droids that almost failed

In the cannon is said that Palpatine fear mother talzin... So yeah she's dar more powerful than him, the series did her dirty

they're both super strong, but i say that mother talzin's lightning is slightly stronger, making sidious have to do saber combat which mother talzin had a tie against mace windu, but palpatine is definitely the better duelist so it could really go either way

I agree that Talzin's barriers could contain the power of Palpatine and Dooku combined without damage, and her lightning really looks more powerful than Sidious' lightning. Talzin also has spiritual abilities

I could be wrong on some points, but from what I've read there basically equal 💀

Mace Windu couldn't. It was a statement between them. But Mother Talzin would've won if she wasn't in a weakened state.

Both of them can shoot extremely powerful energy blasts from their hands.

Palpatine has the IQ. Look at his achievements: he escalated a collapsing society into a civil war while leading both sides after creating an underground empire. He also has power on his side as we see him winning fights more than we see her fighting. So if anything Palpatine will win a close victory.

Sidious at the time of the clone wars did not stand a chance against her by himself. He feared her and he had to manipulate Maul, Dooku, and Grevious to help him kill her. I think she would have the slight edge over him one on one. Her lightsaber skills wasn't able to contend with him but in terms of her magic it was slightly more powerful than Sidious' force capabilities during that time.

No when it was just her and palpatine alone they stood equal ground. When dooku joined in thats when she had to throw up a force shield. While holding off two of the most powerful force users at the time she threw maul to safety. And after this then she is on her knees. Of course when your being 2v1 by two of the most powerful force users you would come to your knees.
