Imagine getting 97 and 92 points in a season to lose out to a better funded team with 115 charges for breaching FFP. During Klopps era he’s won 1 title, Chelsea have won 1 and City won the rest. City have been the best team even if they’re guilty, and it doesn’t take away what Pep and them players have done, but Klopp and Liverpool are the only ones to actually consistently challenge them despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd spending more

There’s no point in trying to validate why klopp is so good for Liverpool with all the other fans of other clubs . They don’t understand what he has done or the significance of his work. He did what shankley did because of the status of the club at the time he took over. He could have won more, but he also had to compete with a team with unlimited funds and who are under suspicion of 115 counts of financial cheating. He was 1 point away from winning the league on 2 occasions and he was just 4 results from greatness with the 2 European cup finals and the 2 league titles which went down to the last game of the season and were decided with minutes to spare. You need to consider the competition Klopp has been up against. City have been off the charts but those 115 charges suggest theyve had an advantage Klopp's Liverppol never had. Yet Klopp still won a PL ahead of city and finished just 1 point behind city twice! 1 point! And with points hauls higher than most other PL titles have been won by. Klopp also reached the CL final 3 times showing that he could balance the PL and CL. He came close to quadruple only losing in the CL final and losing out to city on the final day of the season. Goldstein makes himself look a bitter dolt when discussing Klopp. Fergies utd never had a rival with city's resources. Mourinho 1st time at chelsea was the city equivalent so again didnt have a rival like city. Klopp has made the PL competitive against rudiculous odds given citys resources. Everyone should be grateful to him for that.

Klopp has the highest winning percentage of any Liverpool manager. Hes won 8 trophies in 9 years. We actually have not won the DFB-Pokal for 5 Seasons, so pass how that is "hovering over every trophy". This Season Liverpool have gone backward and we would have been heading for the same scenario we were in when he was in charge of Dortmund, where if not for the fact he was leaving for Liverpool, would have been sacked. If not for leaving Liverpool, I am sure another Season like this one and he would have been heading the same way. He has certainly got out at the right time and he knows it. Like Ferguson, who also saw the writing on the wall and left the Titanic, before the ship sunk.
