To answer the question, the stories take place at the same time, with War going after the Destroyer and Death trying to redeem War and restore humanity. As Death sacrifices himself, War breaks the Seal and revives him and calls the other Horseman.

That is pretty funny. We struggle through life and all it’s challenges but we never have any more than an inkling of what to do next.

Well, he has been around since WAAAAY before the Apocalypse, and in the first game, it is said that he was once VERY close in power to the Prince of Darkness.

I started playng since the first game and now my save on DSII got corrupted when i reached the city of dead, thats so frustating to not get the full experience, guess i'll just jump to Darksiders III

As a hypothesis, all in darksiders 2,3 and 4 will happened before war killed destroyer(as prove from wiki the event in 2 happens parallel to 1). And i believe upcoming 3 the fury either(as proved from the trailer fury already on her journey while war still chained), and 4 strife. As Darksiders the first game will be the event that happen after all event in 2,3 and 4. Then war summon all towards him. Then 5 might be the time to actually sees all 4 in one game.

I have darksiders 2 its awesome :D

Elias Farrow He wasn't actually fighting War. It was Crowfather who took on the form of his brother to taunt him.

A prequel centering around Strife and Fury with co-op would be a good way to round out the horsemen. Then conclude it all in DarkSiders III with all four horsemen playable in some way.

2018 anyone? Well Scince its 2018 we all know darksider 3 is coming but lets talk about the future darksiders games scince iwe all obviously know that the creators of Darksiders are aiming on giving each of the Horseman an Individual Game so We got 3 down They have made an Individual game for onky 3 horse man which is to be more specific and clear War,Death,and Fury so its pretty obvious that Darksiders 4 Will be all about The fourth horsman Strife which conlcudes to be if they will make a darksiders 5 I think they will make it so we can do a co op mode and have a max up to 4 players in the game that would be a good Idea so you can play as each of the horseman like War,Death,Fury,and Strife that would be the most bad ass darksiders game ever I personally CALL DIBS ON WAR xD becuz Darksiders one by my opinion is still the best game I hope they do fulfill this cause it would bring me or possibly all of us lots of joy and up there production rate and the profit they make from selling the games that would surely bring them alot of money I pray that they do this xD

What is the rough timeline of the two games? War is imprisoned by the Council and is sent back to Earth 100 years *after* the Apocalypse. Death started his journey *before* War was sent back to Earth. Death restores humanity and sacrifices himself *before* War fights the Destroyer, yet humans don't appear during War is on Earth. Not even later when War summons Death and the other Horsemen.

How do you know Death started right after Wars imprisonment? There weren't any humans in Darksiders II as far as I remember which means there had to be some time after Wars imprisonment for the humans to go extinct in the first place. In either case at the end of Darksiders II it returns to Wars story which suggests the stories happened in parallel; or at least we know for certain, the end of Darksiders II happens as soon as War kills the Destroyer because of the flashback.

First of all, from the start of Death's journey till the point where he actually travels to Earth there was a great time period for most (or all) of humanity to die. Secondly, when Death was on Earth, Uriel still haven't met War, Earth was not as demolished as in Darksiders 1 and the Destroyer only recently appeared. Thirdly, in one of the DLCs, Death encounters the last human survival still on Earth. That story ends with Death giving him a mercy kill. And finally, Nathaniel asking Death to investigate a soul (Abaddon) that should have gone through the City of the Dead was not 100 years after Abaddon's death. It was a more recent event he wanted to investigate. Not to mention that the 3 new souls waiting for judgement in the Kingdom of the Dead (Judicator's Tomb) were all humans. Probably the last 3.

+Bindair Dundat even if death restored humanity to the balance, it doesn't mean we'd all suddenly be back. the dead don't go *poof* your not dead. humanity needs a parent, just as Lilith birthed the Nephelim Absolom and from him was born the Nephilim. and what's more last human survivor doesn't tell you much, unless he confesses that he was there before the fall of the third kingdom began and is only 25 or something without having worked for a deamon who could magically prevent his aging (opps failed in that regard) we could easily assume this is only a short time before war goes to earth or is even reaching it's conclusion at the same time as War is going to earth. It should also be pointed out that this human character was intended to even be in the first darksiders, but they cut him. and using the earth beyond the scrying pool is a poor idea because that pool showed war fighting the destroyer when death fought the archeon. most likely time has little meaning for the pool, and even Samiel showed little to no respect for time telling Death things from the future despite being in the past before his imprisonment. most likely this ended in a timeframe of 20 years before up to the moment war broke the seal.

What Scythe are you using and what difficulty level Just checking if this is real badassery

Funny how the voice actor for Lucifer sounds so much like Michael Wincott( voice actor for Death).

Epic coincidences, while this was going on War was doing the bidding of the Council and killing everyone involved in the crime. Death dies around the same time War is killed in Darsiders, by some weird chance, the Watcher used the 7th Seal to protect himself from Uriel, the 7th Seal is broken, War dies breaking his leash from the Watcher, Mankind is revived by Death by sacrificing himself and and both are revived by an unbelievable stroke of luck.

so.....the fight isn't over yet......not until one evil being is slain by the power of the four, and until that happens...the one evil.....will forever be gone from this world, and man kind will have a future without a time of chaos.

this is the begining off the 3.game.

Just finished Darksiders 2, been putting it off to make the last boss fight mean more. Took me less than 5 minutes to kill him. Utter joke.

Darksider 2 is parallel to Darksider 1. While the first one took place on earth, for the most part, the second one take place in multiple different realm.

firelordA2 nope that’s not them. Darksiders 3 takes place shortly before 2. Deaths wish has not been seen yet and we will most likely see hunanity in darksiders 5 when all the horsemen are together. The humans in darksiders 3 are survivors from the apocalypse. Death did not know of their existence because he thought humans became extinct. In darksiders 3 fury mentions that humans would need to fight a war against those who want them dead due to fear angel and demon alike. The maker says that the human survivors are too few in number and even with the horsemen they won’t stand a chance. However at the ending of darksiders 2 death resurrects humanity completely reviving all those killed in the apocalypse by sacrificing himself and the nephilim. Then the ending of darksiders 1 takes place literally directly after death dies as 1 and 2 take place at the same time. In darksiders 1 war and Uriel break the 7th seal summoning the three other horsemen to earth. With the horsemen together again with their full power (not seen in the games) they will fight with/for the humans against the council along with heaven and hell. Since the 7th seal was broken the prince of darkness aka Lucifer (not samael) was released who will probably be the main antagonist of darksiders 5. The reason why humans are so important in darksiders series is that they were created to play a important role in the balance. They were created much weaker than angels and demons but were still feared because they would inevitably evolve to be much stronger than them serving a big purpose that would shape the three kingdoms (heaven, hell and earth) forever. Some forces in heaven and hell fear this like I said above but so they want to prevent this prover this from coming true. The council sees this as a opportunity to see the three kingdoms specifically heaven and hell to rage war with one and another to keep theirselves in check without constantly having oversight on them. The horsemen will find this out and side with the humans thinking it’s unjust. They would do this because of what they were ordered to do to their own race the nephilim which were put to extinction by non other than the horsemen (despite the nephilim conquering worlds but that doesn’t mean they should have put every nephilim extinct). The horsemen won’t let what happened to the nephilim happened to the newly resurrected humans that death resurrected.
