@@deputy2421 Both technically are. Fury traps Wars arm with her whip while he’s still holding onto his sword (which is still inside death) then death cuts his arm off.

The best thing about this fight (besides the epic music) is that if you've played the first game, you'll recognize War's moveset,

Chaos form is the term used for war. Reaper form is for Death so the transformation for fury will be called something different.. no I'm not fun at parties.. but I agree, I wonder what her form will look like

demonmercer Fury doesn't look like shit but nobody will ever live up to Death in my opinion. He is the most powerful of the Horsemen. I mean think about it, the other three just cause what he is. Death>War, Fury, Strife

I remember the first day I played this .... I had a great feeling of being awarded with something extraordinary

Keep in mind, that Death is kanonically the strongest Rider and his mission in Darksiders 2 was not sanctioned by The Council, so he did has had an access most of his abilities, including his signature weapon.

*That moment where you realize you are fighting the character you previously played as*

"Your secrets die with you...old fool..." So epic

glad that soundtrack matched how good the storytelling is

i honestly enjoyed this fight more than the actual bosses. such a good fight to play

i wish THQ added a bonus stage int he Game where you could fight war over and over as many times as you wanted, and war would always be as strong as you were so the battle would always be a challeneg and not one sided, also am I th eonly one who hopes Darksiders would be a TV series? on toonami or adult swim or something...

fighting war with upgraded gear or enhanced powers, while he himself is augmented to your level so it's a fair fight would have made some epic fights to go through. heck! having a race with War using Ruin and Despair would have been epic!

damn bro it’s been 8 years and I am 8 years later playing Darksiders genosis in my switch. While I was going through journel I found about the four horseman and then there was death. The first line was- “Death is the mightiest of all four horsemen. He is feared throughout all of creation” I got amazed cause I thought War was the biggest and baddest of them all. But after reading the history I realised he is the youngest!! And only other game I played of the series is Darksiders 2! So I also liked the idea that I played with the strongest one and now I am on a new journey with war and strife. Darksiders are amazing games

I love Darksiders Genesis. Strife should have gotten his own game like the other three. If you've played Destiny, he has a very Cayde-6 feel to him. Brilliantly voice acted.

I'm seeing all these comments about how Kratos from GoW would own these riders, but what y'all need to remember; Kratos is still only a man, yes a demigod but he's also human. These riders have taken down worse things than demigods, so no, Kratos would not win if he fought these people. Death would crush him

I loved this fight, mostly because I love War xD I thought the music was godly, and fit perfectly.

I like to think that each horseman has a unique stat they specialize in. 1st game has War with a f*ck ton of HP and massive area of effect attacks. 2nd game has Death with insane evasive abilities and huge damage output within a short time. 3rd game has Fury who is considered the weakest of the horsemen who unfortunately doesn’t have much going for her except being balanced in elemental weapons, but low stats overall. And lastly we are waiting on Strife whom we got a glimpse of in his shared game with war so I can’t comment much there.

Theres no death if theres no war Hmm something good about war is As long as theres war , it will feed onto War's power i guess But death is just once in a lifetime event for every human died I mean, war goes on for days as long as there are people fighting, but death only happens in an instant when the human died I think thats the reason that even when war is the youngest, hes already powerful, cause as long as the battle goes, it feeds him

God I love the OSTs of this game!

I really wish we could attach both scythes into the bigger version as an alternate method of combat . I think it would bring more variety to the combat and the way death moves

+The Smoking Skull I know that his reaper form has a massive scythe I meant if you could press for example Lor R3 and you could attach the dual wielding scythes into one like he does in some of his combos but make it something you could stay in until you pressed that button again to spice up the combat a bit more

The music is one of the best parts of this game.

this video is like a hundred years old at this point but seeing him not dodge to the side to avoid the heavy slam enrages me

I love these games. My favorite in this one is fighting the Guardian. Very epic. I am excited to play the third one.

I wish war fought like this in his game. The slower but more powerful combo with chaoseater and the swords bursting from the ground every hit. That would've made the first game like 10x better in my opinion.

I deliberately delay the killing of war just to listen to the music.

At some points u leave the brothers alone...i can relate

When, not if, they make Darksiders 3, I hope you play as either Strife or Fury and in Darksiders 4 you play as the other one, that way you have four games for the Four Horsemen

@@Calthir Not a fucking chance that Strife takes down either Heaven or Hell, much less both. There's two beings in Hell alone that Strife can't face. Samael and Lucifer are both well beyond all the Horsemen save for Death. And even then, I think Lucifer is slightly superior to Death in terms of power. If Hell is going down, it's going to be either Death, or more likely, all four Horsemen.

Kratos would beat war but it would be a good fight. Death is the only horsemen that has shown feats that can beat a god like Kratos.

+ShrewdPenny It's a pre-Alpha gameplay footage for DS3, and It looks pretty good for a pre-alpha game that has to be released a year from now. Honestly I wanted Fury more than strife as he uses Guns. I like Darksiders better as a Hack and Slash game. Guns aren't as fun. Also Whip got more flexibility for better combos and juggles, I'm sure they'll add those and more weapons too. Probably a Gladiator sword like that of Wonder Woman in the movies.

Sadly unlike the first game where they gave you the soundtrack with the game this one didn't otherwise I would upload it, other people have found the soundtrack and uploaded it you can find some of them on the right side of this video although I don't know if their the one your looking for, I'll be sure to put a link in the description for the soundtrack if I find it.

Pestilence isn't a biblicle Horseman. He was a replacement for Conquest. I think Strife was based on Conquest since Conquest rode a white horse, A crown (Look at the top of strifes mask) and his weapon was a bow and arrow (equivalent to common day guns). Famine rode a black horse and had a scale. Which I guess could be how Fury got her whip. They wanted to have their own characters and if they follwed the already known legend of the horseman you'd have people bitching that it wasn't done right.

Would've been awesome if both used their transformations

I hope strife will be the protagonist in the next darksiders game and There should be a darksiders game about the fifth horseman named chaos

I'm still confused on why they used Strife and Fury in place of Pestilence and Famine.

The music in this game is more epic then it has any right to be

Man, death is like Jackie estecado on steroids.

The irony is, had the Crowfather just used his own magic, Death probably would've had a much more difficult time.

I have a huge problem with the first game. I really liked the story but not the gameplay at all. It just was constantly pressing square for the same combo (didn't appear to me that the secondary weapons were better) and repetitive gameplay: go to the arenas to free me... etc. Also level design was really bad. It was basically a discount God of War. So when I got to Tiamat I stopped playing and watched the story on YT, all cutscenes and fastforwarded the gameplay parts to know a bit of the environments. The story was really nice and the end one of the best of any game. So now I'm on Darksiders 2 and for now it really is a step up from the first.

Tigerman Prevatt for everyone saying death is the most powerful he isn’t infact they are equal to each other however war became such a problem that he was fighting off the three horseman in any case war is the strongest cause he killed the destroyer and summoned the other 3

I’m not really into games like this anymore and don’t really care about things in this way either but when I was younger this made me so pissed XD I loved war from the first game and now you’re playing as a character who isn’t picking up cars like toys and throwing them 500 feet away and he won somehow XD idk I don’t really care about things in that way now but still ^^
