The art style has honestly made it timeless. Compare it to other games from 2012. No comparison. It looks way better because it wasn't trying to emulate real life. This style of game could be made any year.

This was one of the best rpg/action games I played In a long time. Phenomenal voice acting, expansive gameplay, enchanting soundtrack and great story. I truly hope the final Darksiders game is on par with this one and that Death's voice actor returns.

I always appreciated how sincere Death was in that scene. Throughout the entire game, we see him absolutely slaughters everything and rightly so, but it's brutal to watch and partake in. But in this instance, he didn't argue, didn't plead his case, he respectfully turns round, accepted his duty and in one clean swing: instant death. No pain, no suffering, just peace. Death can be what causes you the most suffering, or what releases you from it.

Death was by far the BEST horseman and character in the entire series. I had such high hopes for fury but she and her game in general was a let down.

Well to be fair DS3 is not a bad game it's just the fact that DS2 set the bar too high imo. And as much as I like War and Fury, Death is just way too awesome :)

True about death. Michael Wincott truly made death one of the best videogame characters I've ever experienced. As for DS3 and Fury, yes it does not compare to DS2. It was more like DS1, but it seemed rushed. The game seemed much shorter and it looked like it was meant to be more of a bridge between the games, other than it's own epic story. I liked Fury and all the characters, just wish they made it longer to flesh the characters out.

One thing I like the most is death's sarcasm 😂. Being a death bringer but can spit out jokes.

22:00 After seeing this moment on my first playthrough, it made me realize that even though Death is..., and everyone immediately thinks that 'Dying = Pain" (and that's putting it lightly), But here, Once The guy asks Death to kill him, Death makes sure if he's 100% set on this, and after the guy tells him he is knowing he can't live on with guilt, Death gives him a swift, painless end. Death doesn't enjoy taking the lives of those who don't really deserve it or it's not yet time for them to go. It Humanizes him in a way

Defeated an Archon of Heaven amped by one of the strongest Angelic weapons. Defeated Samael in single combat at the height of his power. Then destroyed the embodiment of Corruption itself. Yeah, Death is the GOAT.

Have you ever played a game so good that it becomes a unit of comparison for every game you play afterwards? Darksiders 2 is that game for me! Everything about this game just screams fun! Puzzle platforming? Fun! Combat? Fun! Button mapping? FUN! Level Traversal so good that you forget there's a fast travel system? *FUN!!!* The only games to come close to it are the Transformers: War for/Fall of Cybertron games. Now on the other end of that spectrum, we have Dragon's Dogma. Now that's a story on it's own.

If it's as fun as fall of Cybertron, I might have to give it a try. The only other games I've found that fun are fallout new Vegas (Xbox 360 )and madness project Nexus (on steam ). Is this game for either of those two platforms?

Death cut that bell in half so hard that it was heated up from the raw kinetic force behind the slash. As in, visibly glowing with heat. Can someone explain how ungodly strong you’d have to be to *do that.*

That would be a remake. Because you can only improve the graphics much with a remaster. You would have to rebuild the game from the ground up to make it look the best in today's standards.

Shame we rarely see these kind of stylized graphics these days, the way the textures are drawn makes the game ageless in my eyes. Like the WoW's revamped graphics or something like Allods but better. The recent League of Legends spinoff "Ruined King" also has this sort of appeal but I have yet to try it. The devs of this game also did the isometric spinoff prequel for this series.

Man ur Scythe is very powerful i've been playing this game for 4-5 times but i had never get those powerful Scythe because i never start a new-continued game i.e play a new game with my weapons already powerful or a legendary Scythe

One of the goatest game ever made

For me death is the best of the 4 horseman

You know I never played the first game or the third and didn't get into this one straight away but I always loved how they went with that comic look, it's such a different idea than most games. Once I got into this one though I 100% it on apocalypse. Only issue I had with the game is that apocalypse is too easy for the hardest mode like way too easy. I felt like I was playing the game on easy on the hardest difficulty and that kind of ruined it as I enjoy the challenge and only play games on the hardest the first time. Comparing this to the recent god of war on the hardest and yeah god of war was harder but only for one thing the Valkyrie queen everything else was easy. It feels like now most games hardest difficulty is too easy. But yeah I actually enjoyed this game though, never did the dlc except the one with the ice dragon but good game.

I really hope the next game is better than the last 2.
