But he doesn´t get a quality script and a quality director and let´s be honest he´s no Tom Cruise and van Damme is only two years older but guys like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise look much younger than van Damme. Maybe it has something to do with their lifestyle in the past. We all know that van Damme liked a certain kind of "white powder" in the past😁.

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt also have the right Plastic surgery doctors, something Van Damme does not want. Combination that their films always score, that they always nod yes with the club that runs Hollywood, and that they have always adhered to the rules of what they could demand in Hollywood.

He only fought on points as a teenager but he acts like he´s a real fighter. The guy will forever be a B or even C-actor and movie star while Seagal and van Damme were former A-movie stars. Jai White once said that Jackie Chan would have beaten Bruce Lee in a real fight. That statement is the most ridiculous statement I´ve ever heard in my entire life. The guy is delusional!!!

If Liam Neeson has done some pretty good stuff at 60+ years old, why Van Damme can't? I'm very happy to see him back! More Van Dammage!!

I've missed JCVD. I'm stoked to see a new Van Damme movie, it's been a long wait.

The Mercenary was hilarious. A great european comedy action film. This new film looks dark and brooding! Looks good!

A new JCVD movie sounds like it would hit the spot right now!

The trailer looks excellent filmed in LA instead of Eastern Europe so the production value looks great! I think this will be his best film since The Bouncer ! Any updates on his lost project Eagle Path or Full Love ??

Thank you Viking!!! Its my 2 bros and my dad who got us on the Van Damme Train back in the late 80s and for my bros early 90s. Van Damme is the best!!!! In my household it was Van Damme, Arnold (because of my love for Commando) Stallone and Segal!!! then came along Dolf and Brandon Lee (who in my opinion would be one of the most amazing actors of our time because of what he wanted too do) Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins are the last of our kinds that exist. Its sad people today wont know the true action hero!!!

He is not in his prime long time now but ,as a JCVD fan will watch it still tho

Van damme have new projects for 2024/2025, Le Jardinier, Silent Kill, Battleground, and maybe Kickboxer Armageddon.

I'd like to see Van Damme do some John wick, Judge Dredd, The Raid style stuff. High octane violent bone crushing action. He would actually be great for that type of stuff. Hopefully someone grabs him before he gets too old. Doesn't seem like we're ever going to see The raid 3.

I wanna see that movie too and I'm working on that script you are dreaming of and I'm writing it with JCVD in mind. It's fantastic! Not completed yet because life, work and anxiety are getting in my way, but it's getting places ! More than half is written. A mix of John Wick, Taken, Edge Of Darkness, Wake Of Death, The Bouncer, The Raid and Irréversible. I've never witness a more apocalyptic vengeance on screen and it's so satisfying to write. Send me some positive thoughts as I need it. Please tell me something you would like to see in it.

Certainly! Here's the revised sentence: I've been away traveling across Europe, but now I'm back in the UK and binge-watching all your videos. I know you mentioned that you're going to interview Kurt McKinney, and I'm not sure if people know this, but he was supposed to return in No Retreat, No Surrender 2 alongside Vaddam. However, Vaddam didn't want to return for whatever reason, and since he and Kurt were friends, Vaddam convinced him not to return as well so they ended up recasting the role.

Looking forward to it, huge JCVD fan, I wish he'd release Eagle's Path/Full Love or whatever title it is.

Seen it & its good, Van Damme gives a good performance & while the movies a slow burn its a compelling story. If you enjoyed The Bouncer i think you will enjoy it.

He has another movie coming soon ❤ I'm super excited about his new movies.

I'm always supporting JCVD, but those depressed alcoholic characters are too repeatable. "In Hell" was a great movie in that case, but since then he played that role so many more times. I think his true redemeption lies where it all started - in martial arts movie. Nevertheless good luck to him in any project he does.

JCVD really missed out on the original Mortal Kombat. Video Game fans, gamers, are a different breed of human. When they align themselves to something they are usually fiercely loyal to it and will tell as many people as they can about it. Good PR. He missed out on an enormous opportunity there. Along with starring in all the movies too. Which they would have offered him first. Sad it took so long for him to embrace that.

I'm so looking forward for the flick and I am a huge fan of JcvD.I have found that Kristianna Loken,Cynthia Rothrock and real life his sons are in it. I can't wait to see flick.

Disagree one the best Jean Claude Van Damme films in the last 10 years was Six Bullets 💯

We should have gotten many more good films from our film hero Van Damme, sometimes I think if only he had the same film agent as Jason Statham, he would make even better films in 2000 and beyond. Any Statham film could be a good Van Damme film. JCVD has more charisma than Statham, but sometimes you need the right connections in Hollywood.

I love the trailer it felt big, like they had plenty of budget behind. I was excited watching the trailer, reminds when I was kid and be eager to see a Vaddam movie, it had that feel, still haven't see it but hopefully it be good.

I agree with you Darkness Of Man looks gritty like Wake of Death!! I’m a huge fan of Maximum Risk, but the Bouncer was disappointing. Seven bullets and Assassination Games have been his best efforts since Expendables 2.

Love Cynthia rothrock big time she was and still is my idol big time the fight between Cynthia and Don was funny because he pulled so many moves on her I think he was afraid he would hurt her bad even though they are good friends in real life

Lionheart and Double Impact are owned by Universal and MGM, and they are not willing to even plan a sequel. Sheldon Lettich and JCVD tried for years.

I saw the trailer and he looks nice. Something like " Taken" It's a change to see him in a thriller, the casting isn't bad either. To see to form a real opinion and argue on it. Given that he has had good and very bad films, at first glance it seems that "Darkness of Man" is somewhere in between. The good news is that JCVD ​​is back, that alone is great.👍

Look's good, but i want see JCVD in more martial arts scenes.

Kristina Loken was Tasha in Mortal Kombat.

It looks decent but I'm a bit skeptical about the Martial Arts Fight Scenes, maybe in his age he should do more shoot em up movies.

I liked Black Water, I mean sure people have different feelings because they are so used too, his movies like Time Cop, Double Impact, Bloodsport Lionheart, Hard Target, Kickboxer, The Quest, but u know I liked alot of his lesser title films just as much if not more than his big name titles. Replicant to me was an all time fav, Assassination Games oh my god easily, easily one of my most favorite Van Damn films ever, Wake of Death, Until Death a great movie in my eyes, The Order, the Shepard Border Patrol was another really good movie, 6 Bullets holy shit the plot was awesome I mean child sex trafficking which we know is a real life problem in all parts of the world and that was a Van Damn good movie. Alot of his films that werent big titles I peŕsonally thought were really really good films, and just people and critics just never really gave it a chance because it wasnt traditional high kicking helicopter kick Van Damme movies, but alot of those films I mentioned are some of my favorite movies of his which I know for fact Ive watched them even more than his big name films, with the exception of maybe Lionheart which is my favorite martial arts film even above Bloodsport just because I loved the character and I thought they did a better job of allowing Van Damme to show a more well rounded striking ability with his elbows and knees a lil muay thai, and Timecop which we all know was his biggest money hit ever and Hard Target, but hes made alot of good films again like those I mentioned. Darkness of Man we will wait to see but the trailer definetly looks good, and as a Van Damn fan I will definetly be watching it, when is its official release date do we know yet??

LOL... I didn't finish Black Water 2018 either! It's like both Van Damme and Lundgren didn't care about filming and working together in the movie. About halfway in I just couldn't take anymore and just skip to the finale. In fact I can't remember what movies going back to 2002 up till now I'd finished or didn't finish or just gave it a never mind. Maybe it was a good move for Van Damme to take time off from movies to reassess his movie making choices (I guess will find out if Darkness of Man was worth the wait).

This CANNOT be anywhere near as bad as Beyond the Law. RIPO to DMX, great rapper but everyone, Seagal included, seemed to have mailed it in (except Bill Cobbs). I will always give martial artists movies a chance
