Ah, this song. The first time I ran across it I was a little over-cheesed, but by gosh it’s really grown on me. The Alice-in-Wonderland-meets-Phantom-of-the-Opera visual aesthetic is appealing and their voices blend so beautifully in the chorus, and I’ve managed to become invested in these two characters. Go Team Finland! 🇫🇮 Dark Sarah is self-described Cinematic Metal; the third album continues to follow these two characters and their story and I would highly recommend it - I’ll put a couple specific songs in a separate comment in proper format but I’m always excited to see this band getting attention on reaction channels. The malesinger JP Leppäluoto was earlier in a band called Charon that was a great band

So glad you reacted to this amazing duet... Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto has an amazing voice, and Heidi Parviainen angelic voice to be sure.

I love the Phantom of the Opera vibe. Cool and unusual.

YAY I have been waiting for this reaction for quite some time and you didn't disappoint ^^. Dark Sarah is a cinematic metal band fronted by Heidi Parvianien. The music follows the story of Sarah, a woman who is left in the altar by her fiance who runs away with another love. The tragedy causes Sarah to get a mental breakdown and she is transformed into her inner darker self = Dark Sarah, who commits evil deeds as vengeance to everyone who has wronged her life. The first album is called "Behind The Black Veil", the second album "The Puzzle" - which this song is featured in, and the most recent one "The Golden Moth", and they all follow her story chronologically.

Hi Kel and Rich, I'm a huge Dark Sarah fan, thanks for the reaction. I've been seeing your videos come up for me since Nightwish Ghost Love Score. Sometimes I search for "dark sarah reaction" to see what pops up and I was excited to see you doing a reaction to this song. I'm now a subscriber. Rich I did not know about your son until seeing this, I'm sorry to learn about that, it's a wonderful tribute to do these videos for him. Dark Sarah is amazing, I want to say to anyone reading who is new to this band: Heidi Parvianien the singer was lead singer with the symphonic metal band Amberian Dawn several years ago, but she left because she had this vision for her own music, which is now Dark Sarah. EVERYTHING Dark Sarah is 100% Heidi's creative vision, from the lyrics and concepts to the music to video production. She added JP Leppaluoto for this one song on the album The Puzzle (he's now a full-time member of the band and is on many more tracks for the third album The Golden Moth). Dark Sarah is also 100% crowdfunded, which has allowed Heidi to pursue her ideas fully. Each song is part of a larger story of the character of Dark Sarah. Sarah began her dark journey after being left at the wedding altar, and feeling betrayed, she began exploring a darker persona within herself - aka "Dark Sarah". On this song a dragon appears. The Dragon is the other singer JP (the holder of the key). Anyway the full album The Puzzle is packed full of original and interesting ideas. I love this band. ❤ I was able to go to Finland last year to see them and meet them; They're amazingly talented, and so incredibly sweet. ❤ I highly suggest you read up on the story (the songs are written to tell a dark, twisted fairytale; it really is like a story). I also recommend reacting to JP's first band, Charon. He did some great work with them.

I just discovered this song this week and I'm totally obsessed! You're comparison to Phantom is right on the spot! The first time I heard it I realized I'd been dropped into the middle of a story I knew nothing about, but even so it's just powerful! Now that I looked up the back story, it makes sense, and what a fantastic concept album! This whole video is a masterpiece, I really love the musician statuary!🥰💖💖

Heidi Parvienien was the lead singer for Amberian Dawn for their first four albums. They then unfortunately replaced her with an Abba covers singer. But check out some early Amberian Dawn, like Valkyries

I LOVE Dark Sarah!! Been obsessed with the last album, The Golden Moth. I kept putting off listening to it, and building up the anticipation for months. I am happy to report that it did NOT disappoint. The fact that I've been listening to the album on repeat for days says a lot, and I'd like to think I am pretty hard to please when it comes to music. What particularly struck me about this song is the beautiful lyrics of the chorus, coupled with the exceptional vocal delivery. Heidi was the first singer for #Amberian Dawn you should check them out, another Finnish Symphonic Rock Band, latest singer Capri is very good.

New subscriber here. :) Although I knew of Dark Sarah, I first heard this song earlier this year, I love it! Great video as well. I started to expand my metal horizons in the late 90's and at the time, I never would have considered opera and metal to go together. Then I heard Therion and my whole world changed!
