The wall looks beautiful 🤩 I like that’s its only the one wall because it’s the main focus of the room
I think it looks great and it does give the wall character. I think just that wall is perfect.
I love the bed wall, it's a great focal point. My opinion, you asked for opinions; I wouldn't put frames anywhere else in the room, leave it as the focal point, I think it would be a bit busy if all the walls were done. Suggestion: I like symmetrical, I would have matching night stands and lamps. Maybe smaller mirrors above the lamps or in that square. I'd move the dressing table to the wall where the large mirror is. I know you love that mirror, but you could find another place for it in your home. I like the bench at the foot of the bed idea also, would fill in the large gap between the foot of the bed to the dresser on the opposite wall. It's looking really good, Love the paint color.

I am also a fan of symmetrical. Promise it will be much more balanced once I style everything
I like the accent wall. Since you have so many doors in that room adding trim on all 4 walls could appear overly busy. (In an office or dining room there's usually no closet [or bathroom], so usually fewer doors.) Using a vanity as your nightstand is brilliant. I've never been a fan of matchy-matchy, especially re nightstands. What will you do when you complete the home reno? I admire your skills and fearless approach to the work

Thanks! I still have lots more projects that I want to do in the house!
I'm loving it. I like the bed higher. I'd do the whole room with the boxes.
I'm not sure about all the greens for me. It would be too much, but I don't know where you're going with it all and usually it turns out, I trust your process😊
Weekends mean Kelsey is posting a video! Yippee! The wall color is fabulously dark and moody. The box trim is exactly what the wall needed. I’m secretly hoping you build a built-in fireplace / reading nook on the wall opposite the bed. Whatever you decide it will look fantastic!
It’s look really good! The color is still just perfect for the look you’re wanting. The bed is too low. Everyone else: Oh. Too bad. Kelsey: Welp, we will just have to rebuild it. Girl, you’re SO INSPIRING!

🤣🤣🤣
I love the new height of your bed and you did a fabulous job on the construction of you bed. A bench would look lovely at the foot of the bed too.
Love the wall behind the bed and also the bed being higher. I would just do the one wall. 😊❤😊
Love the accent wall. Goes well with the headboard. I’m glad you raised the bed, looks much better. Your skills are unremarkable ❤
I think the bed looks so much better love the walls.
Kelsey, I always learn so much from watching your videos and I always get tons of inspiration! The taller bed is great. Love the trim molding on the walls. Can't wait til next week for MORE!
The molding adds so much to that color! Yes to more.
Excellent job. I think the molding around room is a personal choice. Live with it a few days to determine if you want it all around vs. a feature/focal wall. Love the bed. You have great skills. Been wanting to do the same in my bedroom. Appreciate the costly option of trim from Lowes. I have MDF. But it’s too heavy for me to maneuver. So, will use it somewhere else. Excited to see how you plan to style it, per your mood board. I Love simple white florals like daisies. But, I could see an all white mixed arrangement in a pretty container. Whatever, I’m sure you will make it comfortable & pleasing for you & your husband. ❤
It looks so good!!! I’m all about accent walls. I think what you have is plenty.
The molding really adds a lot of charm! I can't get enough of the look of molding, so I will always say DO MORE, but for your style, this may be a good point to move on and then down the road see if the room needs it or not. I always admire your attention to doing it "right" and making sure everything is made to last and really give a professional (or better, custom woodworker?) look
Love the picture frame molding!
I love PVC moldings and boards. So easy to work with. Looks wonderful and lasts forever! I did the false crown and base moldings. For the crown two inches below the existing molding. Then paint the mid-section White. Same for the wider baseboard. only did three inches in between. Cheap Cheet...Looks beautiful! Love your room! Cathleen
I think doing the trim on all 4 walls is the way to go. Looks great already.
The craftsmanship is great as usual. I’m not crazy about the color. Adding some more color like a bright green or deep gold yellow in pillows or artwork or the headboard fabric would give it more life.

Accent colors are coming 🙂
It’s gorgeous. Can’t wait to see you style it.
It looks great!!
Ugh! You are so talented. Love the moody vibes of the room! cant wait to see the finished room. Ive literally seen EVERY SINGLE VIDEO of yours! I think you should move the vanity to some other part of the room and add another side table so it looks symmetrical!

I agree it needs to be symmetrical. It will look much better by the end of the design.
I love how easy you make it seem.
We had a bed collapse a few years ago as well. I'd love details on the build if you ever have time. We just left the mattress and box spring on the floor. 🤷♀️ Loving the room so far. I wouldn't take the boxes all the way around, though. It would make the ones you just placed seem less special a detail. It's a focal point right now.
Love this Kelsey! I've wanted to add the moulding to my bedroom wall but keep procrastinating. Those miter cutters are amazing. Adding them to my cart right now. Thanks for sharing all your projects. You do great work and inspire me to try more on my own.

The miter shears are such a great alternate to a miter saw! And I didn’t have to carry my saw up the stairs so definitely a bonus! 🤣
Looking so regal and relaxing x
Come back from a long few days of conference to watch someone else work! LOL! Wasn't sure about the darkness of the color at 1st, but really starting to love it!
I really like the bed higher, I love all the work you do!! 🇦🇺💞
My thought, just the focus wall behind the bed. I love the moody look. I love your videos. One❤
I’ve been waiting on this video all week! You make it look so easy. ❤
loving the higher bed! I really like the way a clean space under beds looks, I find it very visually appealing, clutter free, and clean (in case you keep it without a sofa bed). Awesome job, SO IMPRESSED that you made the bed frame!!!
I like Feature walls. I think it looks good as is. The bed looks good higher. Mattresses are so thick now a days that all beds end up higher. Mine is.
Love this! Gorgeous.
I really like the added molding! I still in envy of your skills! Awesome job!!
I'm always impressed by your projects. I wish I had all the tools you do. Things are looking great.
I don’t care for the all-green look. I think the trim boxes behind the headboard should be white (trim and center).
I love it I love your sense of style looks good hun
Loving every transformation!! I started in 2020 to make changes in my home and followed some of your ideas from this channel!

That’s awesome! ❤️
The bed is perfect, height. I do think the decor behind the bed could be on the other walls too!
Love it.
Kelsey, that's beautiful! As always, everything you do is perfect! It's so pretty. I love it.
Add a matching night stand
It looks great....just enough.
I love the progress ❤ our bed is also diy and I love it!!
Like the molding but would only do that wall. You can always go add more later. Honestly not a big fan of the color but as you say it looks different on camera. But I trust you, I’ve loved everything else you have done to your home!
What you have done so far is sufficient and lovely looking. Our bed sets about as high as yours, and we find it most helpful when getting into and out of the bed. With our arthritis issues, the height hits so all we have to do is slide in and out of bed and not climb up or bend down to use the bed. I am eager to see your final project.
I'm loving the paint color, love the molding, the bed looks so much better being elevated..I think more molding would look awesome!😊
Excellent video.
Yes you need to go around the whole room I would go alittle more beefy on the trim you can't see it
A little too dark for me...but I will continue to watch Kelsey. You always have great ideas... so I will watch the progress.

Hola!!Me encanta tu habilidad para realizar tus proyectos hace que se vean faciles❤
I really like how interesting this room is now. I wonder if you could have used premake round bun feet attached to the bottom of the bed legs?😊
@KelseyRomitoDIY

That would have worked too!
Great job well done and its coming along nicely....x i am looking forward to seeing you styling...😊
You should put a bed skirt on the inside of the bed. Then you couldn’t see under it at all. I pretty cream colored one
I aways tell myself, Oops you’ve missed a spot! But that’s 13:27 always before I I’m finished 😂😂😂. Great job!I love it❤❤
I like the wall but dont think I would want it on every wall. A bench or sofa would look great at the foot of the bed. Nice work. You explain everythimg so well.
Where do you get your energy? You are fearless in modifying anyting to make it work! I love the height of the bed - plenty of room for storage underneath!

I built the bed before I made KZread videos but I’m pretty sure I found a similar design on Pinterest. It’s a simple build.
Hi love your videos. Could you let us know what kind of lazer level you have and where you got it or a link please?
Hi! Your plan looks good! Maybe lower your head board a little so you see more a the box over it. ❤
I think doing the entire room would be too much but love what you’ve done . A bench or sofa would give the bed a more finished look but that’s just my opinion 🌹
I think you should’ve left the white little boards white. It make it look like too much green/gray all over.
You should carry the box molding around the room for continuity and balance. Definitely build a bench for the end of the bed, maybe with storage for pillows and blankets. Can't wait to see what else you do with your room!
Love all your projects. Hope that you do your bedspread and curtains in a lighter color. Don't make everything dark. Any pictures we hanging?
@KelseyRomitoDIY
Жыл бұрын
Basically every other design element is going to be much lighter than the paint color.
I'm wondering why you painted the doors?
@KelseyRomitoDIY
Жыл бұрын
Because I wanted a monochromatic look.
I like everything you've done so far with this room The exception would be I think that vanity needs to move to another space. It throws off the symmetrics of that wall. Perhaps you could put it to the right of the door by the bed. I'm surprised that a monochrome look is so appealing. Excellent job
Love the wall Kelsey! another great job!
IMO, it’s too dark. I would leave the wall behind the bed as an accent wall, but paint the remaining walls a lighter color. Also, for those of us who are not handy, Bed Bath and Beyond sells risers that you can attach to the feet of your bed to raise it.

I was thinking the same. I like lighter, airier rooms. I guess we will have to wait and see what the final reveal looks like.
@KelseyRomitoDIY

Good tip about the bed risers! And I agree- I also tend to go for lighter, airier rooms (just look at all my other designs 🤣) but I felt like trying something different. And if I hate it, then I’ll make it over again. That’s the good thing about paint.
I have to agree with that. It looks very sombre and dreary.
I love the trims, but not the paint color , the paint finish and the texture of the wall is too much ! And believe me I love all of your DIY all of them you are Great at it ❤, but not loving this one .
@KelseyRomitoDIY

No worries. I agree- I wish the walls here in Texas weren’t so textured.
You nee
I got excited with the white trim but then you painted it the same dreary color. The room has no life. Sorry to be harsh but I do love all of the other rooms that you have done.
@KelseyRomitoDIY
Жыл бұрын
I agree that the room doesn’t have any life- yet. Lots more to come.
Sorry but that room has no depth or dimension at all. It looks like the inside of a box, that's it. Not dark and moody. Dark and dreary.
@KelseyRomitoDIY

Curious how you would add “depth and dimension” to a room that’s bare except for furniture? Do you really think this is all I’m doing to the room? Clearly, this is the very beginning of the room makeover.
