He has said this a bunch of times. It’s how to push a topic you start with something dark and it get less dark in comparison as time goes on. You need to understand the way Leo’s comedy works he makes light hearted comments when situations are tense or dark. So he starts out dark let’s people go dark in conversation and then Leo makes jokes that go with it or seem silly in comparison to the topic.

It's an ever increasingly miniscule subset of literally mentally unhinged certifiable people who are the loudest and most embedded in our legacy media and institutions like Universities. Jordan said that there are no precidents in English common law regulating and compelling speech. And given that the most accurate depiction of these folks' freedom of expression of gender - which is in the vague language of the now passed bill C16 - can be referred to as simply fashion choices which other's now have to affirm and validate regardless their own political and religious beliefs. It's insane and belongs in some sort of psycho-examining film or something. It's grotesque.

Jordan Peterson is such a good dude and I was happy Theo had him on man, such a great segment. As far as "Darkness" goes just look at how nasty people were to Mr. Peterson when he had his health condition. The man's wife sits withering away from cancer, nearly dead and he was trying to hold it all down for his lectures, interviews, books (its his career after all..) And so a Dr. had him on Xanax which was having an adverse reaction on him & resulted in making him MORE anxious and ill feeling..this nearly destroyed the man! So instead of people being supportive or at least maybe trying to find the truth, they hop on social media and their self centered blogs etc calling the man a "drug addict" and loser, failure among other really nasty things. That alone shows you just how dark and lost so many ppl are...to attack Mr. Peterson, a man who has helped literally MILLIONS of people around the world, with such baseless and false claims should tell us all about those living around us. Im glad he's back. Ignore the hate Theo and Jordan!

Literally, if you look at global poverty & hunger over the past 30 years, or how often wars occur compared to a century ago. So it's not purely a moral statement; even statistically human values are growing stronger every year. It's just that, as Jordan says, "the dark is plenty dark". We started in the state of nature, which is almost unimaginably brutal and painful to us today. So light is winning, but there was a _lot_ of ground to cover.

I wanted to kill myself so bad, I really really wanted to die, and then I thought, ok, before I do that I should see what it feels like to not exist. I would sit in utter darkness, utter silence, eyes closed, no thoughts, and imagine I didn't exist. The first think that happened is I realized that friends and relatives cry etc, but then they get on with their lives, the second thing, all those places I wanted to visit, all those things I wanted to learn, they never happen. And then in that dark dark place the light came, the light of solitude and peace, its a speck of light at the start but then it grows to be blinding white, all encompassing the mind with the feeling of inner warmth.
