Bakitho Bakitho bruh he literally has the same mark as Jonas from the hanging. And its such an interesting plot point i really dont think that the writers are fucking with us and that is definitely Jonas. He also has the pendant Martha gave him.

I love that they got to share this moment, Mikkel is so innocent, glad he died knowing he wasn't crazy.

Well he wasn't crazy anyway..he knew travelled back somehow but couldn't figure out how..he saw his parents young then grow up to be married and then finally saw himself getting birth too...

Ritsuka because Jonas has the great ideia of telling Mikael that he if he didn’t commit suicide, his younger self wouldn’t travel back in time. And Mikael realized that that meant Jonas would never be born. It was just so heartbreaking... he knows how much his younger self is going to suffer, but he decides to do go through it all over again, and die a painful death, all for Jonas 😭😭😭😭😭

Normal kids don't keep up with dramatic events like that, and he probably would have been too young (if he was even born) to even comprehend it. If anything, his parents probably protected him from that information. He seemed like a sheltered child.

I love how Michael immediately realized that Jonas had different hair. It shows that he really cared about the people he loved and that he has always been very attentive to every detail like a magician would be.

Sachin V Lost did with S4 on an episode called The Constant but not nearly as good as dark tho.

It’s the little things. How Michael is the only one to notice that Jonas’ hair is different. How they made a callback to “ultimate fist bump”. And how they comfort each other during the hug by rubbing the back of the other’s head. The first hug is Michael comforting his son, and the second hug is Jonas comforting his friend.

The way season 1 portrayed grownup Mikkel had me thinking he was distant from Jonas and his mom, but now we can see how warm, kind, and compassionate he was. This is honestly my favorite scene from both seasons. It was both heartwarming and heartwrenching at the same time, because you could see how much Jonas missed his dad, and how much they loved each other, but also see the pain they both had. That embrace was just... you could feel Jonas’ love, and Mikkel’s affection. Mikkel you grew up to be such a loving father. You’re the best dad ✊🏼😭

My father died 15 years ago. He could not be present in my adolescence and early years of adulthood where I needed him a lot. Sometimes I feel that I have overcome it but when I saw this scene my heart broke. just thinking about the possibility that Jonas has filled me with tears. I would hug my father the same way.

Same hear. In my case it was 28 years ago and I was a little younger than Jonas here. But was worse was not he being to able to hug him again, it was what came afterwards when the realization sank him that the suicide was caused by this visit.

My dad passed away 7 years ago. I don’t know how old Jonas is, but I lost my dad when I was 15. Sometimes I wish I can turn back the time to prevent his death or just to hug him and tell him I miss him so much.

I love the relationship Jonas and Mikkel/Michael have with each other and the love between them. Jonas seemed to really look up to/adore his dad and Mikkel/Michael obviously loves Jonas to bits. I also like the fact that if you look at the interactions between Jonas and little Mikkel, Mikkel seems to like Jonas the most out of his siblings friend group. Hence the “ultimate fist bump” being so awesome 😭❤️

just a little thing i noticed and loved(!!) when rewatching this was when jonas first hugs micheal @ 0:34 the smile on his dads face really did it for me! like obviously he can tell that his sons upset so he’s not happy about that, but the genuine hug seeking safety and comfort from him is what makes him happy. jonas is at an age where he probably hasn’t gone to his parents with such vulnerability for comfort like that in years (which is totally fine and normal) even if they were close, and that smile to me is the smile of a parent who’s missed that childhood affection and snuggles and is cherishing it while he can before jonas is fully independent. it’s such a small moment, but to me small moments really make and propel the show. i wanna give HUGE props to the director/writes of the scene and michaels acting 💕💕💕💕 he really plays such a warm and loving papa🥺

Iinspite of having an incredibly troubled mental health and childhood, with the mindnumbing shit he went through giving him an outright life/identity crisis, mikkel managed to be a doting father and loving husband. It just shows how effing pure he is. He had to die. The world truly doesn't deserve him

Mikkel lived his life truly alone. He was abducted by somebody he trusted, as a child, following which he was forced to grow along people he knew as somebody that he thought would never be. His parents never recognised him. Neither did his friend Jonah, and THIS moment was his liberation - He is liberated and he is ready to die for the one he loved - his son, who was also his abductor. What a complicated story line.

SPOILERS It all makes sense to me now. Jonah like his biblical counterpart is the one who is running from the call for action thrown at him. Jonah is trying to prevent things from happening - he is against GOD's(In this case Time's) will and seeks to escape the pain. Martha gives birth to the time anomaly child. She is also the mother of all creation (EVA) as she gives birth to the loop by using her power to make choices - during the quantum entanglement. Noah is the one who walked with God. Noah is the one with the traveller.

Absolutely spot on. Father son relationships are always portrayed as distant or playful at the most and mother children relations are tender likewise. But this series showed us that a father can love his son as dearly or even more than his mother who gave him birth. Kudos to the show writers for breaking this stereotype👍

I literally cried in that scene. Michael/Mikkel was such an adorable person, we miss him.

I never experienced any form of PTSD like Jonas has, but I do know the pain of losing a father. The scenes where Jonas hugs Mikkel/Michael in his room, and begs to him in desperation not to kill himself later in this episode hit me so hard to the point of being on the verge of tears. Bravo to these two actors! What a brilliant show!

Most beautiful scene I can't stop crying

This scene made me cry so hard, its like the letter scene from season 1 a moment where things come together. Its beautifully acted :')

Jonas eyes when he hears his name. It immediately made me cry. "Jonas?" :( The way he looks at his father crushes my fucking heart. So much tragedy. The hug.... I was practically sobbing at this point. So much all in one take. "Ultimate Fist Pump." It's confirmed that Mikkel isn't crazy and that everything he thinks is true.

After season 3 here...this show is haunting and beautiful. It answers all the questions in final two episodes. It is worthy enough to be in league of Breaking Bad.

One of the best scenes of the season.. The actor playing Jonas father is such a Gem❤️

After watching season 2 mikkel's story broke my heart. The guy suffered his whole life. Everyone else was an adult by the time their life changed and they were at a point where they could actually grasp the concept but mikkel was a child and was just left there without any clue. His scarificed himself for his son and a wife who was really a bad person but god this show is so good and brilliant.

Let's sum up what he had to live through Losing everything he had, his friends, family Not being able to tell his story, no one could even believe Carrying this truth to himself for 33 years Seeing his family but not being able to be with them again Maybe knowing that hannah is cheating on him with his father fooling his mother... Then just imagine how happy he could be by someone sharing the truth with him...

i've watched this video like 5 times already and the feels still get to me, legendary scene.

Michael was my favourite character in the series. All the characters like Katharina, Ulrich, Hannah, Adam, Eva, Noah, Helge, Elizabeth went through horrible pasts that made them do bad things. Michael was one of the ones who suffered most, yet he never let it hurt anyone near him. He kept all his burdens and pains within, and it turned him into a very fearful, timid and shy person, but he never intended to hurt anyone, even if that meant living a literal lie. The only time they suffered was when he committed suicide but even that, he did for their sake. Michael Kahnwald/Mikkel Nielsen is the best and most human character in the series imo.

I love how they are affectionate through touches. It looks beautiful how they can express their feelings so comfortably to the other. The place where I love is somehow taboo about this so watching this scene made my heart melt. They're so beautiful.

This scene and the one when Jonas learns the truth about Mikkel/Michael are so magical. Best show on tv.

The sad thing is, Jonas, trying to somehow 'save' his father, but ends up 'triggering' his death This is one of the saddest scenes in Dark tho 😥

I think it’s implied that Mikkel as a kid would say that to Jonas often - not just from we’ve seen in the show.

@@WitchChangkyun we saw in season 1 when they all went to the caves the night Mikkel went missing, he greeted Jonas with the ultimate fist bump so it was something' they did regular for sure

The whole scene from the beginning till the end is so pure, beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time😭❤️ the love Jonas and Mikkel have for each other gets me every time 🌸✨ the whole scene is awesome 🌹
