2NE1 is the resistance in a world where everyone lives inside this Virtual Paradise (disconnected from the world, entering the 'matrix' throught that weird glasses/machines). Dara is the only 'acting' role here, she has this boyfriend which is ill (smashing pills) and gets seduced into this Virtual Paradise, so she feels sad and hopeless. In the end (MY INTERPRETATION) I think she decides to unplugged him and leave him 'happy' in the virtual paradise (without the chance to "wake up"), instead of being 'selfish' and keep him for herself in a place where he feels miserable. The other members scenes are like preparing material to break this virtual world, and to achieve that, all 2NE1 members enter de Virtual Paradise. The smooth rap of CL in here is not on the actual song. 'Come back home' has an unlugged ver. where this rap belongs. You should react to 'Crush' album, has literally no bad songs and CL produces and writes lots of the tracks, specially 'Baby I miss you'

Miriam ugh that’s wrong. Her boyfriend isn’t sick and those aren’t drugs (pills). Her boyfriend is tempted by this world and those pills are food, the world has been so polluted that those pills are the only thing they can use as plants are rare. The girls that are in the greenhouse are the workers and they create those pills.

Its only 2 years from I LOVE YOU (2012) and COME BACK HOME (2014) The MV 's cost was -- USD$ 500,000 -- The highest at the time for MVs. And they were rebels in this video. They destroyed Virtual Paradise. As you can see, Dara's bf was sick so he found redemption inside VP. But they became unhappy so they destroyed it. It can also relate to us humans like phones, we are in the "virtual world" and 2NE1 teaches is to COME BACK HOME (to reality)

Lol! Yeah there are sooo many Dara fanboys. Its fun to watch the compilation too esp the one with Tony and the wrestlers. 😅 She was crowned the best visual in kpop back in the day. The Park sisters are my bias. Super funny and hyper dorks. SsangPark❤

Taking place in a bleak/grey futuristic metropolitan setting, the story is about how society is escaping reality to a Virtual Paradise...Sandara aka. Dara, whom was with her depressed boyfriend, learns that he opted a virtual paradise as a solution..eventually she felt disconnected & out of touch with him, and as a result join forces with CL/Bom/Minzy (other three girls)...These girls are a part of a revolutionary movement that rebels against the idea of virtual reality....During the song when CL raps in the abandoned building, The girls are gathered in the HQ for the rebels, creating & researching a potential chemical weapon that can be transferred to the virtual paradise (you will see also their weapons/gear in the car scene where minzy is at)...In minute 5.56 of your video, the girls are laying down in their VR gear about to enter the virtual paradise to infiltrate & terrorize the system within...At last they have virtually arrived in the white room, they vandalize, destroy, set fire and their chemical smog..soon they make their mark even leading more rebels to join them, until we see that paradise that does get destroyed, melting away into nothingness in the end of the video....So "comeback home" basically means telling them to come back to "reality", kinda like "wake up bitch give me some lovin and get real"...and the breakdown of the part of the song, in my opinion, is kinda like the girls planting and activating a virus to the system...telling people to comeback to their senses, that's why that break down part sounds somewhat hypnotizing...

4:23 We have definitely seen Dara already Ben 😂😂😂 in fact I think up until that part of the music video CL and Dara have the most screen time.

I don't think I have ever seen you pause a video so much! 🤣 This was the very first K-Pop song and MV I ever saw and needless to say I've been a Blackjack since before I knew that K-Pop bands had fan names. The whole aesthetic and storyline and sound are just... Unmatched to me. This was from the last album they released so it's PEAK 2NE1, top of their game, top of the world. I'm sure you do have videos planned, but on Patreon perhaps you could react to one of the videos explaining what lead to the breakup of the band. And definitely react to "Goodbye", the very last song CL wrote for them. It made me cry like a baby the first time I saw it. (So maybe don't end with it!) Anyway, the 2NE1's legacy is cemented and their influence on K-Pop girl groups and the rise of Girl Crush cannot be underestimated. Also yes, blue haired Dara is a blessing to us all, and Park Bom DID invent bangs.
