See what makes this charger a poor choice for any full sized electric vehicle or for most power sources, at least in North America.

Good video. It is a great price for sure. I have a 2012 Leaf that only has a 3.3kw on board charger. It would work great for me if it had a different 240v adapter to fit the NEMA 1450 outlet. BTW, I own the 40 amp charger of the same brand and it's great and has the correct plug. Thanks for the review.

I'm hoping to get my hands on a 40 amp version.

Unfortunately another shortcoming on ford. The ford connector is only 30 amp, you should make a video comparing the Rivian charger with the ford charger to show how it charges faster. Would be interesting!

A suggestion for another video. I'm on it.

You could also wire up a nema 6-20 220v receptacle as was intended as well, correct? Still not the most energetic, but would be faster than the adapter

Certainly that would work, but if you are going to rewire, why not go to at least a NEMA 14-50 and get something that will give you over twice the charging capacity?

That is a good point, and if you are considering a small battery EV it makes sense.@@johnathanevers140

I prefer to use either Grizzl-E or Flo home chargers. Don’t think I would trust some of the cheap Amazon/Ebay China made chargers.

I think it all depends on your use. I will use a cheap travel one on occasion or if the car is just going to sit for a few months, but my main charger is a Grizll-E.
