One of the most beautiful dance sequences ever put on film.
Love, love this scene! Its from the movie King Solomon's Mines, with Stewart Granger, 1950. Beautiful Watusi dancers.

que hermosa danza watusi. me gusta la cultura africana saludos desde peru
One of the most memorable scenes from King Solomons Mines scared me as a child, its so awsome.
These people are so beautiful! Amazing height and body structure.
I saw this film dance long time ago. I can't belive I found it¡¡¡¡ Thank you so so much¡¡¡ I never forgot this dance. I always remember the watusi people for this masterpiece. Never see again. And one of the thi gs that I always remember from this movie is the beatiful tallest dancer moving his head in a very beatiful way, with always a nice and sweet smile. This is a masterpiece of art❤❤💜💜💖💝
Que hermoso. Una obra maestra. Me alegro que Hollywood haya valorado este gran trabajo artistico
MGM pulled out all the stops for this gorgeous film in 1950. Stewart Granger, Deborah Kerr King Solomon's Mines. As I recall (I was 9) a real chief of the Watusi or Masai played a supporting role. The animal sequenses were beautiful, too. By the time the remake happened, none of this existed.
Finally! It has returned to youtube! Thank you, very much.
i saw this dance in a movie 50 years ago.
Beautiful dance

I love it. The tallest tribe in Africa. Their shortest men are seven feet tall. Awesome.

This is false. Most of those shorter people are actually batwa/Hutu. Tutsi aboriginals are lighter skin due to Arab admixture from long ago.

Danza Watussi que maravilla
I've seen the film of Steve McQueen dancing the Watusi with LBJ's 16 year old daughter on the campaign trail in '64. It didn't look anything like the dance in this video.
Y luego llega Tarzan y acaba con todos. FIIIIN!
wow!
You can't really tell from the movie but the average height of a Watusi woman is 1.83m (6 ft) while the average height of a man is almost 2.00m (6'6)

@@josephrurangwa3109 Wow, poor Tutsis you are now manipulated and brainwashed to deny your ancestors who were Cushitic and closely related to Masai people. Hutus and Tutsis are two different ethnic groups, although many mixed with each other. That is today proven by genetic testing. However, I understand the Trauma of you Tutsis since 90% of the Tutsis in the Hutu and Tutsi war were killed. You are now afraid of the Hutus.
