danube crested newts (Triturus dobrogicus) courting

These newts are getting ready to make lots of little newtlets. The males have their crests on and are posing and posturing at each other and even at me and my camera, while the females are enjoying the show and even check out me and my camera in case I'm on the newt singles market.

nvm, the female appeared. :P
I got them as juveniles about a year ago from dartfrog.co.uk. Newttank.co.uk also sells them (not much help to you since you're in the US, unfortunately).
Or Canada, rather. Are you a member on Caudata (dot) org? There are plenty of people there who could help you get your hands on some.
