In this clip, Danny Trejo reflects on the time he robbed a liquor store with his uncle at the age of 14, describing the feeling as exciting even though he only received $8. From there, Trejo speaks on how the power of money eventually led him to a life of crime, detailing one particular moment when his uncle said he was "embarrassing the family" for even trying to have a legal occupation.

It is hard. One of my elementary school friend grew up in a gang family and while he was a good kid back then, in high school he followed his brother into the business, went to jail, and eventually came out and run his own gang. He was careful which neighborhood he went into and one time his warehouse got broken into and lost a bunch of his boss' / customers' drugs, and he had to fly out on a chartered private jet for safety before he ended up calling to apologize and compensate for their losses. He ended up giving away half of his net worth to settle, and from what I heard it was into the tens of millions range. If he grew up in a different family he would likely be a real estate agent or insurance salesman.
