I think early on, Wiz and Boomstick were viewing actual worlds where the fights took place (Eggman Vs. Wily, Chuck Norris Vs. Segata). Personally, I prefer the idea that the fights are simulations whipped up in-universe by Wiz.

The dragon powers skipped Jake's mom's generation or at least her cause she never gained any powers or that's what they said in the show

The explanation given in the cartoon as to why Jake’s mom doesn’t have dragon powers is that they skipped her generation, but there isn’t really any further explanation as to why they skipped a generation.

You know what's amazing? *Butch Hartman himself* was a guest of honor for this Death Battle. He commented in both preview, he drew fanart for it and he made a video with both Ben and Chad. Also, he is the first creator outside of Rooster Teeth invited to a Death Battle Cast and has even made a react video to this Death Battle! Butch is just going all in.

You guys should check out Butch Hartman’s reaction when you have the chance. I thought it was cool Danny’s creator watched this episode. Awesome video guys. 😎

@16:00 The explanation was that it skipped Jake's Mother since she never gained any powers. It's either a Genetical Anomaly or a Genetic trait undiscovered because her's was the first that occurred (which I doubt). It's probably just a Genetic Trait thing that she didn't get any powers, but was able to pass on the Genetic potential for it to her children.

Danny Phantom & Jake long had some of the best cartoon intros imo.

They skipped a generation. That's why Jake's mom doesn't have a dragon form. But his sister does.

Is that true? I know they got a new director for the second season but I don't think I heard about anyone dying. Also they did more focus testing after season 1 and a lot of the kids thought Jake and his friends looked way younger than Rose. That's why his human side was redesigned to look a lot taller. Not sure why they made Jake so much scrawnier in Dragon form. That feels like the main thing people complain about when it comes to this redesign. Everything else looks better in my opinion and the fight scenes were better animated but that change was so random and extreme that it's the only thing most people remember. Maybe he was somehow cheaper to animate that way or maybe they wanted him to look more like his grandfather and be like a fusion between the eastern and western dragon archetypes.

The Rappter’s problem is, despite numerous comments explaining this to him, he always uploads his reactions the day the new battle is released. Sometimes within the hour. Almost every other reactor waits a bit before uploading, but his refusal to led to legal problems with bots and the KZread monitoring system.

For the record Jake didn't actually beat the dark dragon or the huntsclan. His girlfriend kind of defeated both of them. Also he needed a plot device to defeat the weak group of ghosts he fought so this was a pretty obvious victory.

I feel like they were equals at one point but I think in the finale the dark dragon curbstomps him and several other dragons and then Rose beats the dark dragon pretty much on her own. And I feel like part of that was because of her natural affinity for fighting dragons but regardless you can't really list defeating the dark dragon as one of Jake's feats if he fought it and lost easily. Maybe I'm misremembering that though. It's been a long time.

Regardless it's not like both characters didn't get more skilled over time so just because they were equals at one point doesn't mean they still are. More importantly I do remember Jake trying and failing to beat the Dark Dragon in the finale. The argument that Rose was able to beat the dark dragon so Jake should be able to do so as well since he probably beat Rose a couple times in the past doesn't supersede the more concrete evidence that he did fight the Dark Dragon and lost.

One other thing these 2 have in common they both have catchy as fuck theme songs

Exactly. Some of these battles are one-sided. There's another one-sided battle that some fans can't accept because fanatical bias against a certain Solar Powered Hero.

@@RedDragonForce2 The thing i never disagreed with the result. I just heavily disagreed with the feats and calculations that they used for both. Mostly with Supes, since he never lifted the book of infinite pages....him and Shazam were rejected by it. Supes never sneezed away a solar system with his own power. He had that imp's magic dust on his nose. And weighting eternity doesn't make sense....since....it's a length of time not any sort of weight. So it would be weightless and even if, Green Lantern did most of the heavy lifting for Spectre not Supes and WW. My other issue was just using more different versions of Supes instead of just sticking to the comics since every Superman is usually heavily different to where they are different people compared to the "main" ones like Post Crisis and New 52. Like Superman obviously wins if you use the main 3, Pre Crisis, Post Crisis, and New 52(mostly due to Pre Crisis)

Actually, this wasn't really one sided, base on their feats, Jake Long have advantage strength (hence that he hold the giant pillar), experience, and martial art since he have been trained by his grandfather who is also a dragon, while Danny was mostly self-taught, so it's unlikely that Danny have ever been trained, or learn any martial art after he became ghost.
