I mean they already had this in previous seasons. Cams inside of the helmets of some drivers. They just did not make great enough use of it in my opinion.

@@kukuc96 Schumacher was disqualified from the entire 1997 championship standings only for the last race incident, I don't think that's the reason they weren't disqualified from the championship Maybe they don't have the prove (or simply they don't have a way to prove) that Renault used this system for the whole championship

I doubt that will ever happen. It wouldn't be that comfortable for drivers to wear those cam-glasses (I think they are glasses with a small camera attached, at least that's what Toro Rosso used in Monaco) for a full race.

Engine kill is an Button which has every Race car. Even GT cars has this button

@@drift163 they wear glasses for this "pov"... cuz its called visor cam not a helmet cam, so just from this logic im assuming the cam must be either on visor or behind it, which leads to drivers wearing glasses... ive seen romain grosjean do it, he said its panifull and it makes him a bit dizzy....

EmSpro Racing Indycar has no issue with it.

Love this camera angle. We need more of this on broadcasts. How about a separate broadcast of JUST this angle for the whole race. It really gives us the drivers perspective of just how hard it is to see out of these cars, even at such a slow speed as DR was going.

In the Renault promo vid of Daniel's first day, he was given a Renault Twizy as his company car. Clio would be a few steps up.

0:48 Dat mirror check btw! He just checks it in the blink of an eye and he already knows he's good to take the corner. Consider how hard this would be in a race with multiple cars coming at you at 320+ km/h. Just insane

You don't see it while driving. Extend your hand and put your fingers vertically, and then look in the distance through it. You can clearly see right past the obstruction. This is due to binocular separation.

My guess is that the following will be the rough championship standing this year, this based on shake down drives, vibes from team and drivers, analyses of the aero by an Ex-McLaren engineer and a bit wet finger work on where the engines stand based on how nicely they purrrr. 1. Red Bull, 2. Mercedes, 3. Ferrari, 4. Alfa Romeo, 5. Torro Rosso, 6. Renault, 7. Williams, 8. Force India, 9. Haas, 10. McLaren

my first impression of this camera view which we have seen a few times over the winter test, was that is had to be a really good race simulator. These drivers are so good there up there with say pilots. The difference is planes don't crash so much haha. one slight mistake these guys are in the barrier. Keep these helmet cam recordings coming
