1st day of the Daniel fast. Thanks for the ideas

Gm, I have been fasting for about a week and I feel great. More energy, more at peace with god and myself. I do have struggles but I know god is going to handle whatever is heavy on my heart. This is new to me, trusting god, building my faith, and just building my relationship with him. I have a church home that I love.

More excited about the banana oatmeal. And is there an alternative to coconut milk. I am allergic.

You added salt to your recipe. I was surprised to see when I researched the Daniel fast that everyone said no added salt.

Tomorrow is my first day February 1 2024

Daniel did not want to defile himself/ Jewish law regarding what is clean and what is not clean to be eaten. It was not a fast.

Gm. I like that, to draw closer to god and not my wants and my flesh desires
