    Terry Lyle Is it really true that the colorful ones are just the green ones ripened?

  • @terrysharing

    @terrysharing

    7 жыл бұрын

    Yep! The green peppers, if left to grow, will always ripen to a red or other color. But, it takes so long that the marketers have to promote and sell green peppers. These days there are hybrids which ripen faster and are bred to develope "sweetness" early on. I guess there is some virtue to "green" bell peppers...many people like them and recipes call for them. But after tasting ripe peppers, Dorothy and I have vowed to never go back to green peppers. I grow a variety in my garden called "Yum Yum Mini Sweet Bells". They are wonderful. And they keep along time in the fridge. You've reminded me that I should do a video of the recipe for the stuffed red sweet pepper that our restaurant friends gave us. It's the best ever.

That’s exactly what’s wrong with everyone in the world now. Y’all are always trying to do things your way instead of the way it is suppose to be done🤦🏽‍♀️

    Omg this Christianity has crippled the minds of black people to this day. Your mind is not free and you sound like a slave....who out here In real life living and doing everything the bible says? I guess if Harriet Tub man though like you she would've never felt Freedom because she didn't do what massa wanted. Smh....Daniel fast is an example/version of a fast based on his name and calling. Can a Keisha get the same results from a Daniel fast or actually doing her own fast based on her name? If GOD did not give you the spirit of fear why is rice so forbidden on a Daniel fast yall be taking this Christian thing too far so you can look down at your nose at people doing stuff differently. Y don't you look up what rice look like in its Raw form not the one you buy in the store you will see its a seed. Was that not what he consumed as well? People out here dying ever day over senseless issue and you on here talking about what???? I can't. FREE UP YOUR MIND whoever you are.

    Just avoid Iodized salt. The Daniel Diet is an extremely restricted diet designed as a modified fast meant to be followed for a short time, not as a lifetime eating plan. The Daniel Fast lasts for21 days, in most cases. The purpose of The Daniel Fast is not to lose weight, but to become closer to God. I want to mention that on the Daniel Fast some allow sea salt or Himalayan salt and others do not. My recommendation is to only use a bit of sea salt when necessary in flavoring dishes.

    I've used the ingredients that most churches are allowing. If you are stopping by to just find fault, your comment will be removed and you will be blocked.

    It is not that Daniel ate these kinds of foods but it is within the guidelines of what is excepted as fruits and vegetables and we cook them to what we are traditionally use to eating. Daniel was a Jew! He ate fruits and vegetables from the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean area. We can choose to eat Middle Eastern foods which some are not easy to find in a typical grocery store but we do have many foods incommon to the Middle East.

    Since posting this comment I have lost more than 20 pounds since New Years following the Daniel Fast Diet with emphasis on Veggies. Easy on the fats and protein( very high in calories) and get guidance with a nutritionist. I did not consume dairy or fried foods. It is easy for me since I prefer a vegetarian diet anyway but I did eat Chicken and Salmon and eggs only once a week sometimes but not everyweek. I also kept the breads, grains and noodles to a minimum or not at all( Mostly not at all). Lemon water and water are the only things I drink other than Green Tea in the morning. I am energetic and have had people notice my wieght loss and my nutritionist gave me a A- on my bloodwork and is working to improve that to an A+. I am 5 pounds from my goal and I am very happy with the results. I am 61 years old soon to be 62 and not on medication. You don't have to eat fresh all the time. Use canned and frozen veggies as well. I do walk 10,000 steps or more per day. Once you do 12,200 you will have walked 5 miles and that is when I have lost weight faster. Good luck to all!
