Hey sis!! Happy 2023 🥳💗💗 i can’t to see what God has in store for us this year! Today’s question is: if you have done a fast before - what’s one thing you learned (about yourself or God) during it! If you haven’t fasted before, do you plan to do one in 2023? 🤍🤍 For me: the last fast I did was while I was pregnant (i know, it’s been too long!) & I was fasting from specifically technology. I learned that God will meet me where I am & that a length of a fast or what I’m fasting from doesn’t dictate whether a fast is successful or not. It’s only and all about intentionally drawing closer go God.

That’s good because I am doing a modified Daniel fast and I am growing much closer to God and seeing clearly and I already have so much more energy than I had before the fast but a part of me was thinking it’s not successful because I didn’t go alll the way in , ex. I didn’t eliminate coffee. But I feel a sense of peace because I am doing well with the fast and I feel so good about continuing it

I've never done a proper fast before because I have been addicted to nicotine for 10 years . God had been convicting me for weeks and I tried to ignore it till the 31st when enough was enough. I've been clean from nicotine for 6 days and I know it's not a lot but it's a lot for me , never thought I could get here but God has strengthened me . I'm definitely eager to fast now since my flesh is losing its control over me! God is great ❤️

Thank you so much for this Sis! I sense I should perhaps go on a fast soon. I haven't fasted in so long. I watch way too much TV then I should. I'm also about to start a new chapter in my life with a house purchase under way. I remember a number of years ago I was looking to move home to flat-share. I had finished a 21 day or month fast and I think it was a week or two after finishing. I was on my way to view a property with a friend. We parked up on the road where the flat was and I opened the car door. I suddenly got this 'knowing' feeling that this property was the one. I walked up the stairs as I got up there a couple with a toddler were leaving. I straightaway thought, "I got it wrong. The Landlady will offer to them". Long story short the Landlady offered me the property to flat-share. I couldn't believe it!. God's hand was all over it! I know that once you introduce fasting as a spiritual discipline in your life you will see God's hand at work in your life. I also believe it may not be immediate or even visible at first. God works also in the background of our lives. To see His hand you most definitely will.

Fasting coupled with prayer should be a lifestyle. One Ps said "fasting without prayer is simply a diet"😆. So one has to fast and pray.

I have done a lot of fasts since becoming a believer, from: the Esther dry fast, to the Daniel fast, to 1, 3 and 7 day liquids only fasts!😅 People at my church really made fasting from food something which is only done by serious Christians and something which compels God to move. Hence, what I learned about myself is that I did all of those fasts with the wrong thinking that God is now FORCED to move on my behalf because I have sacrificed so much. What I learned about God is that He cannot be forced by any human being to do anything 🤣 What I now have in mind is that a relationship with God requires humility! Humility in the sense of knowing that He doesn't OWE you anything! He is more than happy to move on your behalf but you can only ASK Him for help, not COMMAND Him to help you.

I know God wanted me to see this. I just started my fast today with my church. Im also going through financial struggles and I’m truly praying for direction, a breakthrough but also learning to submit my worries to God and not to be in control all the time.

Financial struggles is the hardest but I pray you know that God is the provider of all things not the money! Nothing is too hard for God. Rely on him. He will supply all your needs.

I felt all four of those reasons and I’m currently on the last day of my Ester fast thank you Jesus! I have been unemployed and job searching since July, my car finally gave up on me, and my phone was even broken for a month. These times have definitely been hard, but I continue to put my trust in God and have been reading his word and learning so much about him. Losing almost everything has helped me gained the greatest relationship with God that I did not even know was possible. I remain thankful for the good and bad that happens because everything God does happens for a reason. Yesterday was day two of my fast and I woke up to a text with a possible job opportunity!!! I’m claiming it in Jesus’ name, but I know if it doesn’t work out it’s because he has something even better for me out there.

I love this - one benefit i've found of fasting is how it helps to reset our prioritise/passions so that they align with Gods vision for us.

I've only been fasting for 5 days, but I am already so sensitive to the voice of God. It's not easy, but I love it here❤

I've started to realise that my maternal home engrained in me to be pessimistic in my speech, so for the next 21 days I'm doing a fast on being VERY VERY intentional about ensuring that every word that I speak is life giving. It's so harddddd!

I'm fasting for God to take away this anxiety and depression from my child. She can't even pray at times and I'm asking for prayers to break this stronghold. The enemy been on my child since she was 4 years. She told me about her dream about a big snake was coming for her and the sky open up with gold sword and it stuck the snake right in the head. I remember that night because she screamed like something was happening to her. She was taught early on how to pray and now at 12 years old she is being faced with more challenges. Alot of time these things show up in her dreams and she tells me she feels like she's not here on earth when this happens. My God! Ya'll has no idea of the spiritual war that I've been putting up, but I know the power of Jesus and I know that he's here and have been working on our behalf. The enemy won't have my child!!! I'm declaring and decreeing.

This is definitely confirmation! I’ve been thinking of doing a fast for a few months now, and I’ve been praying to God about it. Just yesterday I was reading my word and praying to God for confirmation and guidance, and now I see this video pop up. God’s s timing is so great ❤️

Testimony Time. In 2021, I did an Esther fast because I desired to study abroad. That didn't work out but God use it as an avenue to get closer to him and that was the beginning of my ministry. Fasting helps to reveal who God is to you in each season and it helps you to yield to the spirit of God to act according to the revelation.

This week I’ve been doing a morning fast and being mindful intentional praying and spending time with God. Also, I’ve been asking God everything first then me and I feel closer to God. I’ve been giving literally everything to God. 🙏🏾 happy new year 🎊

For me, I used to think fasting was just about getting God to answer my prayer requests. But now I'm realizing fasting is more about silencing my flesh in order to hear God more clearly. From fasting I've experienced great breakthroughs!! I was inspired by your video on the Daniel fast and I tried it and it was amazing!!! God really came through!! I would also encourage anyone fasting to journal the experience, it's nice to have something to look back on.

I just asked God today to let me know which fast to do for supernatural breakthrough in my life. And this video popped up. Daniel fast has always worked wonders for me.

Testimony Time.... In 2017 I started water only fasting to hear God and received knowledge/ wisdom from the Holy Spirit. In 2017 God blessed me with a car and I relocated to Texas. In 2018 I went on a 40 day only water fast. In 2018 God blessed me with a Child Care Center in Texas. In 2022 God blessed me with a new big beautiful home. In 2022 I've been doing a 10 day water fast only each month. I cannot tell a story... I didn't fast in November or December. Yes,... I failed those attempts. NOW IN 2023 This is day 2 of my 10- day water fast only. Your page popped up on my screen. I know this is a confirmation I'm on the right road to more breakthroughs, more of God's lessons, wisdom and love. Thank you Father God for everything. Im grateful.

I am like done with the Lord lol😂 This is like the third video I have seen about fasting since after Christmas! I am like mind blown by how many times God is telling me or giving me a confirmation about fasting! Right now, I am getting ready to do the Daniel fast starting January 7th, this Saturday! I am having a lot of anxiety and doubt about fasting though, BUT, I am most excited to see what God is going to do through and in me! Glory to God for all of this❤

Yes yes yes sis! I know I need to when I’m noticing fleshly ways in myself more than usual and lacking discipline in an area, When I need clarity or direction on a specific matter/or my purpose, or simply just to be closer to the Father!! It’s definitely a WHEN, not IF. I’ve learned that fasting isn’t for God, it’s for us. So it’s definitely humbled me not to fast just to get something from the Lord or to make Him do something for me quicker, but to crucify my flesh and go deeper spiritually in the Lord. And I just love hearing His voice so much clearer! I’m challenged to fast even more this year 🤍🤍

In 2017 I did a 21 day liquid fast and it benefited me tremendously. God was the reason I made it through. From that fact my daughter became a vegetarian and I remained vegan for 7 months post fast. It strengthened my faith, confidence, I was happier and vibrant, I had clarity, my skin was clear and I lost a substantial amount of weight. Then in 2019 I did another liquid fast not planned or intentionally done but I reaped the same results. Now I am doing a spiritual fast for guidance ❤

This came right when I felt like breaking my fast 🙏🏾

I learned about the Daniel fast last week. I’d been thinking about water fasting for months, but was unsure if I should try it because it seems hard. Then I went into my fridge yesterday to make breakfast, only to find out that it had stopped working overnight! All of the food was spoiled (thank God I didn’t have too much). Since i started with my fasting i found healing, i was able to forgive the inner child in me... the little girl who was stuck in a bubble of fear and gave up her life.🙏🏽❣️

I woke up a few nights ago from a dream that left me unsettled and instantly heard and felt something say Fast. I have been a victim a car theft. 2 days after Christmas some stole my Hyundai Elantra out of my driveway. When I recovered it, it was totaled. I'm not in the position financially to insure it fully so it was insured liability only. I have been stressing out severely from that. But that night before I even recover the car I made up in my mind that I was going to fast. I start on this coming Monday and it will be the second time I fast in my life. I genuinely and sincerely need prayers please. Prayers for endurance.

Here I am tossing and turning in bed coz of a blocked runny nose. The plan was to have passed out by 7:30 pm. And so I could not sleep. I know I’m late but fasting has allowed me to hear from God in a more direct way. It seems to tune out all other distractions from my life. It allows me to truly just focus on the Lord and understanding what steps he desires me to do take in my spiritual journey.

I just completed a 40 day fast and incorporated the 21 day Daniel fast towards the end. I wanted to grow in my faith spiritually and I accomplished just that. Sometimes we have so much noise in the background that we are unable to hear our own thoughts. During this fast, I enjoyed the quietness. I learned how to pray more and effectively and definitely could hear God speaking to me and through me.

Today is my first day of prayer and fasting. In watching your video, I noticed that I had all 4 of the prompts to start fasting. However, it was placed in my heart since last year, when the church I attend, completed a fast, I decided to not miss it this time around. I'm very grateful for this content!! You're right on point sis! And thank you for allowing God to use you as a guide for us sisters on a mission😌

I have done intermittent fasting before not biblically but plan on doing this in 2023. The main purpose to grow close to God and overcome temptation.

In this season of life, I’m fasting from dating. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t dating or trying to talk to someone or be in a relationship. I never truly learned how to be alone and now, God is teaching me. Through this fast, I’m understand that he is teaching me to depend on Him for satisfaction completely and increasing my dependency on Him.

I started my first fast this month I’m on day 4 of the Daniels fast & I feel absolutely great!! Thank you for this it was the first on my time line today. I’ve attempted before but this time just feels so different & special. The Holy Spirit told me it was time I’m ending the fast a couple days before my 27th birthday. The most successful fast that my family and I did together was for a breakthrough. My son just got out of school and he was looking for a job for over 6 months. We fasted and prayed for about 2 months and then he got a job offer after that Praise GOD.

Thank you for sharing your inspiring content…I am currently on day 4 of an annual 5 day water fast. I do this every year, sometimes even twice a year, and am blown away every time how humbling it is, how much gratitude I am left with and how much awe I have for Him. I truly pray that by the end of this, I will have more clarity, direction and intimacy with God moving forward in 2023. Blessings always and thank you again!

I am in a place where I am seeking a relationship with God. I recently purchased a book to understand the bible better, and I’ve started looking at different churches. I plan to do the Daniel fast for lent. In the interim, I’ve given up drinking and other social activities that God is pulling me from. This video was so timely.

Thank you for this. It's been on my heart to fast for some time. A close person in my life even urged me to fast out of nowhere but I still have not done it and this was in October. My relationship with food is an unhealthy one. I emotionally eat and I feel like that's where God wants me to fast from so that I can lean on Him in my need and not sweets/snacks plus tv (terrible combination, I know) I do plan on doing this prayerfully this month. every year on the week of my birthday I do a social media fast and it feels really good. My old friends and I used to always post posts dedicated to each other w parahraphs and such but as many of us started to kind of outgrow each other or fade.. I realized that it started to feel like a chore but everyone kept doing it idk if out of denial/habit/fear of offending. But I decided to be honest and tell them that at least for me it didn't feel right anymore and that I didn't want them to post about me on my birthday and that I actually planned on taking time off social media and work on my relationships and other things irl, undistracted by the pressure of the online world. I'm still friends with two girls from that old group. But I kept logging off each year after that because it honestly felt good to not feel pressured to post about my birthday or what im doing. But then I decided to center it more on Jesus and a focus on being grateful for everything I have and being completely present with not only God but the people I love on my birth week. However I've been learning more about the Daniel fast and I think I also want to practice that fast at some point this year.

I struggle with fasting from food, I always want to give in after like 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes I try to change my fast and think "God, would rather me fast from social media" I try to find an easier thing to fast from but this time I am challenging myself to try to stick with a food fast because that is what my flesh truly desires right now.

Just started my 1st fast :)) and all the things you listed I definitely felt/experienced towards the end of December so I was like "I have to be obedient and do a fast in the new year"

This helped so much. I started fasting last week and it went terribly. It threw my cycle off (causing it to come very early and my cravings were through the roof). I had to sit down today and reevaluate why I’m doing this. Lord, I cannot do this without you. I really want to overcome my spirit of overindulgence.

When I first did Daniel fast 2021 it was a successful though I didn’t know it immediately I saw that after falling short I had a dream,sometimes we fast and still go back to old habits/environment that kill us Joshua 6:18 is telling us to keep clean. Still God did not forsake me I’ve learnt from that mistake to realise this is what causes friction between me and God the stagnation in my life it is because of the door I opened and now I’ve been single for almost a year I’m very happy and proud of myself thank you and all Glory to the most High 🤗🙌🏽
