Is tom hanks a better actor than De niro? no fucking way. Kubrick never won an oscar neither did hitchcock. The nominees were so excited because in their minds, DDL was the ONLY one who should & did win Best Actor ❤️❤️
how can one be so talanted and beautiful !
DDL was flat-out amazing in My Left Foot. One of the best-deserved Oscars in history. His performance was beyond stunning and shocking. There were so many other worthy nominees that night, and I find it amazing that the academy gave the award to a rarely-viewed film, and a little-known actor at the time. Obviously, he has justified that award again and again.
What a beautiful speech. He really doesn’t take much credit but gives the inspiration from Brown and his young co-star the bulk of the credit. He always seemed fairly humble, given the enormity of his talent and hard work. And he was a stunningly beautiful man (still is, really).
Jodie Foster Helen Mirren Meryl Streep Three AMAZING actress was presenters of three Daniel Day-Lewis oscars. This is so right. Both talented and terrific.
The smiles in everybody's faces are remarkable and just for him

I was thinking the same thing.
He was a phenomenal actor, one of my favorites.
1:57 - 2:01 that one guy on the right hand side in the back of the audience jumping up and down XD
Daniel now has 3 Oscars. Tom, none. Till this date both of them had their best performances ever. And that year they still had Morgan and Robin. What a year. But Born on 4th of July should have got Best Picture. Amazing film!
*Pete Postlethwaite deserved one also, what a blistering performance from these amazing actors.*
I love how excited all his fellow nominees were for him!
Such a humble guy..Love to The great Daniel Day lewis❤❤❤
Just look at the other actors reactions even they knew his performance was a masterpiece
if it's possible he looks even better now
I got goosebumps just hearing the nominees. I paused the video, i couldnt take it anymore. Every single one of them gave their lives into those roles. Oh the 90s
One of the greatest actors to ever grace the screen, if not the greatest. And certainly one of the most beautiful and astonishing performances in Oscar history.
