He's even mocked Murphy who got called by Chris Nolan for preparing as Oppenheimer 6 months before production on Vanity Fair Interview while he said he learnt to conduct for 7 years for Maestro. Pretty humble for Thomas Shelby to let Cillian Murphy receive the Oscar award for him

Won his first Oscar and immediately got congratulated by some of THE best male actors of the 21st century. He's a diamond without knowing it. I'm so glad he finally had his moment.

His intensity and inner conflict was always there. He conveyed anguish and pride, sometimes without using words. His was one if the greatest performances ever.

Love the quick “Go raibh míle maith agaibh” at the end after mentioning he’s a proud Irishman. A small but classy touch. Means “thank you all/ye so much” in Irish for those who don’t speak it.

Notice how he shaked every hand and respected each presenter. He didn't go on a self indulgent monologue. The guy is just pure class. A credit to Ireland. Delighted he is one of our own!

Such a smooth way for Brendan call his name too.

I was wondering why was all those actors on stage when he won?

I usually don’t care about the Oscars but this makes me so indescribably happy! It’s actually making me emotional, I’m so happy for him, he really earned this!

Colman Domingo looked so proud and happy for Cillian. Love to see it. All the actors nominated this year were phenomenal. But Cillian was out of this world and transcendent as Oppenheimer. His performance with his eyes, alone, were Oscar worthy

Brendan Fraser is a kind, sweet and humble man. So it was only fitting he presented to another kind, sweet and humble man. Two great winners back to back!

Finally!!! So deserving! Most humble, kind, talented man Cillian Murphy, bless him!

This guy really steady and have good manner to acknowledge the presenters… RDJ and other who has no manner on stage should learn from him 😂

I would have been so mad if it wouldn't have been him... He was brilliant as Robert Oppenheimer as he was in every project he did... he earned this award and I literally cried watching on my sofa in Germany when Brendan said Cillians name 🙈

Even in Canada as my moms last name is Murphy and is from Coleraine 🇮🇪💚🇮🇪 so proud to be Irish but born in Canada. My heart will always love Ireland and the Irish people 1st! Class act Cillian! Ireland... I love you all!🇨🇦🇮🇪💚

I just love his style when he name Cilian Murphy.. His style is so cool. He was the Oscar winner for the last year. Very talented man.
