Daniel Day Lewis’ stance was spot on. The sound track engagingly gripping. There Will Be Blood should of won Best Picture, Best Director.

It’s so surreal seeing, especially hearing Daniel be himself!

His best acting definitely you can see how much he put in the role

I remember renting this movie late teens just in awe of what a great movie it was. And everyone with me falling asleep.

probably the greatest acting performance I have EVER seen!

Everytime this movie is on I watch it. He's a genius...period. One of my favorite actors. This movie was phenomenal.

I think there's some confusion about the John Huston connection. The Daniel Plainview voice is clearly inspired by John Huston's speaking voice, and John Huston did direct Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but the clip shown is of Walter Huston, John's father. John Huston appears in a small uncredited role in Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but if you look up interviews with him, you'll see that Daniel Day Lewis clearly drew inspiration from his voice.

I can't believe it that I haven't seen this film yet. Over course of years,somehow it keeps on popping up in film biops. "I've abandoned my child!!! I've abandoned my child!!!! I've abandoned my boy..." It's raw and it's shows intensity. Just that hits me and I need to see ASAP....and if I could only go and watch it in cinema as it was intended....

In my opinion, Robert Pattinson is the new Daniel Day Lewis because, he is British and also he always puts all his energy in every role he plays. As a result, he's been able to make people do not see him as a teenage vampire anymore. Actually, I have never seen Twilight saga, which means I'm doing Bobby Pattinson a great favor haha.

@Unpeeled De Niro, Daniel Day Lewis, Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington, Pacino, Jack Nicholson. I think Dicaprio is going to be there too he's still going strong. And a couple of my personal favorites I LOVE Robert Duval and Gene Hackman. Maybe I overrate them but Duval man to me is just hard to touch lol. Just my opinion

I am not sure what the plot of THERE WILL BE BLOOD was even about. I was too much in awe of his performance. It was like watching a famous work of art in motion.

He’s like the only method actor that realizes method acting can come across as “grotesquely self important” that’s what makes him the best. He’s incredibly self aware. Unlike some method actors who are just dicks lol I’m looking at you JARED LETO

The voice he imitates is clearly John Houston's, not Walter Houston's that you show in the clip. He was also an actor, besides being an excellent director. He plays the man in white clothes that miraculously appears in the movie twice! The level of ignorance about the old filmakers scares me. Even by people who are suposed to know movies better and make channels about them.

At 4:30, Daniel says “And I didn’t want to stray too far off course”. You misquote him as saying “…too far, of course”.

Dracula and vampires is fitting because this movie started to SUCK at about the halfway point. And it just kept on sucking. Maybe it was drinking my milkshake. I just now thought of that, Paul Thomas Anderson and Danial Plainview, cinematically DRANK MY MILKSHAKE!
