    Dc's body type is actually perfect for wrestling, which is why he's so good at it. his body type also allowed him to take hits like a brick house when coming in for the take down. I would argue he was best served at the weight he competed in. which is why he's double champ.

He would have to compete vs Anderson silva, Michael bisping, Israel adesanya, yoel romero and a bunch of other great middle weights. Middle weight has always had tougher competition than the heavy weight division.

The point was that if DC had been more diligent with his diet then he could have been a MW, and likely dominated the division for years. I don't think anybody downplayed DC's accomplishments or said that he was by any means a bad or even an average fighter. DC is one of the best to ever step in there. He could have become a 3 division champ if he had been dedicated enough to make 185 though. That's not a new thought either. People have been talking about how DC could compete at MW for years.

    Chris Barnett is another example of a guy who looks like he takes too many trips down the buffet line but in reality he is incredibly fucking strong and nimble for his size, and is an damn good defensive grappler. Dude pulls out some kicks that would make your jaw drop. Some guys just feel more comfortable fighting with a little extra weight because that’s what their genetics predispose them to.

    He wrestled at 96 kilos (215) on the world circuit…If You bump up to heavyweight at his frame it’s obvious you retain fat he struggled to make 205 so not only is this his natural weight it’s also added muscle/fat for his heavyweight frame. It’s inevitable maintaining that weight with his genetics. The Physique changed as his goals changed a dangerous fighter regardless.

    The best build for the modern martial artist is knowledge friend. Jon Jones was the goat because he was able to utilize all forms. Also height has absolutely nothing to do with it. Yeah you have that reach but look at Steven struve one of the tallest fighters and didn't do all that well. Or you could just look at someone like Tyson.

    I'm not sure you can say the best build is tall and lanky. Khabib wasn't tall and lanky, mighty mouse isn't tall and lanky, petyr yan isn't tall and lanky, alex volkanovski, henry cejudo, man so many examples. There's many exceptional fighters who don't fit the tall and lanky guise

    Daniel didn’t need to cut weight, his weight was right where he needed it to be for his optimal performance, dc is STRONG, stronger than any muscle head in his division at the time, literally the only person he couldn’t beat was the literal greatest of all time in the sport.

    To be fair all of you mfs that wanna flex being low body fat grew up as a skinny kid who was always low body fat or not much fatter then skinny fat which is like 30 pounds of fat away from a 6 pack. What you have to understand is that’s your baseline. Not everyone’s baseline is that low body fat. It depends on their genetics and how many fat cells they have cuz each one needs to be halfway full so they aren’t starving and tired all day. It’s easy to talk the talk when the only reason your able to get that low and function is genetics.

    There's different body types for all sizes some people can be tall and skinny and not gain weight some are short and stocky and can never be lean and vice versa if Daniel come ever tries to get down to your weight his organs will fail and he would die and if you try to gain 70 lb of muscle it's not going to work for you and it can do more harm than good it all depends on the individual everybody's different even if they're the same height
