I was waiting for that song, thank you Dereck. This is such a deeply beautiful song, full of passion for life, of love for love... It is an anthem for life itself. In this age when nature and life as we know it are threatened, the words of this song bear a particularly relevance to our time. Next song that you could listen to is "aimer est plus fort que d'être aimé", Loving is stronger than being loved.

Hi Dereck! Thanks for your react on Daniel Balavoine. This song Dieu Que C'Est Beau (God How Beautiful) was released in 1984 in 45 RPM and doesn't appear on any album of the male singer but is the first hit of Daniel Balavoine who appeared in the Top 50, ranked no.47. It's no coincidence that he wrote this song. It comes to announce an important event without his life, the birth of his son. He pays homage to women, humans and love but also refers to the creation of the world, to Genesis by citing Eve and the Snake and especially to original sin. It's almost a spiritual invocation. He sings about his happiness and his joy in having a son. This isn't the first time that Daniel Balavoine has paid homage to women, he has already done so in L'Aziza (1985). For him, woman is a powerful being who has the incredible strength to endure pain in order to give life. You can hear in the backing vocals Frida from ABBA, his best friend but also Kirsty MacColl who was in the songs of "Sauver L'Amour" album. In this regard Daniel credits them on the back of the 45 RPM cover. You'll find this track on Spotify on various compilations. There was never a clip either. You had this TV show with a High Quality sound: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKxsq9Vre5mehKw.html I recommend you for your NEXT REACT always staying in 80's with him, the song Aimer Est Plus Fort Que D'Etre Aimé (To Love Is Stronger Than To Be Loved) in 1985. I'm french speaking... La musique est prenante, sa voix est géniale mais que dire des paroles !!! Music is really hot, his voice is amazing , but his words are much hotter ! The wall Trembles and splits like a heart Which bursts in two And the woman Enter history As the work of a God happens Man is born without memory Recognizes the Eve he wants Break the future And makes our eyes rise The sobs Sin makes them hot God it's beautiful Oh, it's so beautiful The wall Bends and twists To give shelter to lovers And the woman With a rounded stomach Fills with new fire The man about the future Put your hands together and make a wish Eve must suffer To give birth before our eyes The hero Who comes out under the bravos God it's beautiful Oh, it's so beautiful It's love And the fruit of sin is very beautiful The child screams Kill the snake The order is new Raise the crowd And admire the child emerging from the waters The earth rotates Oh God it's beautiful Oh, it's so beautiful

You don't know Daniel was fan of Peter Gabriel with the big sound of the drums like here with Joe Hammer playing a similar way of drumming vs Phil Collins : the big gated reverb

Im so glad to see an american dude demonstrating love and interest into french '80-90 music, But there's some hardcore fans who seems directing you in a stange direction, focussing on second and third quality song insted of going for the greatest hits You may like Toulouse, Madame , Compagnie creol, Ottawan, Gold, Axel red, Vanessa Paradi, Catherine Lara, Joe dassin greatest hits And dont forget about Quebec/french canada song. Theres over 8 millions poeples up there, mixing french and american culture in a unique way. You may like the 80-90 greatest hits of Nuance, Jeanot Bergeron, Michel Rivard, Parfait Salaud, Les Colocs Uh. And you need to see Cookie jingle 'femme libérée and many more too...there a whole univers there

He already did the "Biggest" in France or in Canada: Mylène Farmer, Johnny Hallyday, Daniel Balavoine, Céline Dion... That's not bad!
