I'm from Honduras, I watched him to play in that golden generation: Kanu, Okocha, Yekini, Babayaro, West, Amunike, Amokachi, etc. The best African team ever. I will always remember them.

Same here, i remember playing football on my backyard pretending beeing players from that incredible National Team. What a Team!!

I could die for this guy in my high school days. A complete beast in the Nigerian jersey. People talk of Okocha as being the most talented. But during Amokachi's time, Jay Jay wasn't the best in terms of effectiveness. Daniel was the engines room. If he played well, the Super Eagles played well. A fearless fighter, at Atalanta 96, he was at the center of Young Eagles' most dangerous attacking, both in the semi final and the final. Forever a legend of the game.

We were school mates at Government College Kaduna where he attended his secondary school. He was also a national legend when he won the West African Football Union gold medal and the Kaduna State FA cup and national FA cup silver medals with Ranchers Bees FC Kaduna in 1989.

He was quite emotional talking about Keshi and Amodu.

I only know him from wining eleven 3 in ps1, my favourite team was Nigeria, he has amazing speed and great strikes.

Some players make big difference in short time. He is one of them. He had to quit pro football at 28th due to his knee injuries but he's still a legend for Besiktas, Everton and Club Brugge. We still chant his name. Thanks everything you did for Besiktas. We miss you!

he was celebrating his goals how it is supposed to be, with joy not with hyper aggressive posing. he remained the same decent guy as a coach he always has been, not a lot of people can claim this for themselves.

Not only did they dominate the African football, but also the international one, especially at the Atalanta Olympic games in 1996, when they won the gold medal.

he was amazing person in real world and also also winning eleven 3 :D
