Tesla, the following realization occurs to me: The vehicles are built and tested in California. The developers themselves, who certainly drive these vehicles privately, drive them in this region, with the US mindset Performance means drag race (1/4 & 1/2 mile), speed means 85 mph (137 km/h) more is not allowed anyway. And no one needs a working automatic windshield wiper, it never rains in California anyway.

Very much a California car, but still a very nice car in many ways. You would think it'd have more performant cooling though given the climate it was designed in! I guess is 99% of owners are never going to take it to a track then the lack of track brakes makes sense, the stock brakes work fine for drag racing.

this is insane so many people thinking they are smart and laughing at the tesla while it is literally the best sports car ever made period ther car is not supposed to be used like this it is made for the real world and it performs insanely well there, even the old one was faster than huracan or GT3 RS 0-60, now it even handles like a marvel. it is absolutly pointless what you fgolks are pointing out, because the reason is you have no clue whatsoever. on a track you need the brakes, which this car lacks because its not made for the track like the plaid with package. in the real world you never need the brakes. with amazing brakes the heating is gone. also ICE rdrivers need to learn to not push n ev full throttle all the time, the power is just too much, even hyundai said this, cooling is everything in an ev on a track because of the insane power, litereally nothing else matters.

It's ok but dissapointed - seats are very good - suspension is good (or very good) For less than 60 000€ the value is very very impressive but even with that low price (compare to concurrence) Tesla should not put these terrible brakes but I understand since most owner will not take their car on track. Soon I'll get my answer from the court here in Norway if I win my case against Tesla for the horrible brakes on my Plaid. Long story short; it was markedet as a car you could drive on the track, but the brakes overheat after two corners. Hopefully a win here will get them to improve brakes on all their "track cars".

@@safakhan3088 thanks. Luckily we have amazing consumer rights in Norway, including a free court for consumer cases. We also have a law that states that if something is marketed as X and that's why a consumer bought the product, the buyer can make the seller buy it back at cost. Considering the "going Plaid" video includes like 30% track footage with no * stating that better brakes are needed I think I have a good case. I also got a unbiased report from amcar club of Norway stating for a fact that the brakes are way too small (based on the horsepower and weight of the car) for any kind of track driving.

The ioniq 5 n is an absolute exception, it is unfair to compare other vehicles with this one in terms of price and real track performance. Nobody can build and offer a car with this skills unter 90k, personally I don't think Hyundai either. It is an image carrier. Just have to look at Pikes Peak and see what the vehicle did there. The series ioniq 5 N (with standard tires) was faster than a radically converted Tesla Model S Plaid.

Yes, +60 °C is full power limit (UK owner asked Tesla). Nice lap for a stock car and there is apparenly what what you get - heatpump is underpowered to could batrery down. I did not know, that in +50°C the power restriction kicks already in. The only way would be modding of the heat pump and/or intercooler on battery loop. The car is very quiet over 200 km/h speeds. Stock suspension bottoms out relatively easily on top speeds (from other videos), so be careful out there if not upgraded.

The car is electronically limited to seemingly 240kph, and from how fast it was still accelerating beyond 200kph, it very well could pass 240kph w.o. limiter The car itself isn't stupid, it's just limited in some factors that could improve it. Even though teslas regen method is excellent for daily driving, its not actually ideal. As nice as the one pedal driving is, its actually better to coast on the highways than to regen. Regen is more useful and efficient in low speed driving. Furthermore Teslas dont actually regen to a high degree. Something like the Ioniq 5 N regens significantly more with the N pedal or whatever.
