I lived in the area where Eric frein killed that cop at the police barracks in pa almost a decade ago. The amount of force they had out was insane. They brought fbi agents in from all over the country too.

They have been so confidently wrong so far. How can they be so sure he won't be a fugitive for decades?

A minor setback?? Are you kidding me.

A tower guard with two eyes is fired for failing to see Cavalcante when he escaped (assumption is that the guard wasn't in collusion with the escapee). Yet, there are hundreds of eyes using a variety of resources but no capture. The prison didn't shore up the facility after an inmate escaped two or three months prior. Yet, none of the persons responsible for the structural flaws that were supposed to have been remedied were fired. The boasts about the probability of Cavalcante's imminent capture hasn't panned out, and it may be better to cease boasting about "we're going to get you", and let action do the talking.

I think hes after the sister n the 2 kids of girl he killed as he told 7year old he was gonna mess their lives up. Hes been up in a tree watching these cops stand around.

I don't think that the prison was a maximum-security prison because Cavalcante was there temporarily until his transfer to another prison. The amazing thing about his walk up the walls is that there was a door with windowpanes behind him. The family is supposed to be watched by law enforcement, but the way this operation has been conducted, Cavalcante could show up at the house posing as law enforcement. That's kind of far-fetched, though. Law enforcement is gunning to kill him because he's made them defensive about their tactics. (I think that he knows capoeira, which could explain his agility on the walls.)

Is this killer still wreaking havoc? What is happening? This is terrifying.

..higher state officials like Governor and Atty General should've thought that a lifer wouldn't be sensible to keep in a medium security. A maximum security prison is designed for lifers bec their mentality is radically different from those who'll be out in just a few months or a few years.. escaping lifers in their mind have nothing to lose so they'll take risks on their life and will kill others bec it makes no difference to their sentence

@@mb944 Good grief, listen to the news reports before commenting. He visited several homes of known former associates. Those associates were NOT HOME when he broke into their places. When one woman returned to her house and checked her cameras, she called a friend, who called 911 after seeing the footage of Cavalcante. The only person who is suspected of giving him aid thus far is his sister, who is in ICE custody.

I'm from Brazil, I've been following many Americans crying because an immigrant is terrorizing people in America, but the truth is that this guy was under the responsibility of the American government, and the failure to ensure that he was arrested, caused the immigrant was a problem for the United States and for Brazil (since he could come to Brazil as a fugitive) so before you complain about immigrants, complain about the terrible security in American prisons that made this guy escape and the police that are the most of a week walking in circles.

I could see him getting away from Longwood gardens there was a large thunderstorm right over the containment zone, that probably when he left and stole the van, it was stupid to leave keys in it

I never really thought or cared about inmates who escape. Then that guy escaped who was also doing time for murder killed that grandpa and 3 grand children who happened to stumble on him on their first day at their summer home.

I think the PA cops are a sad excuse for law enforcement officers ! People should move out of there like here in CA

I am sorry but this is Keystone Cops. The man in charge needs to go. He has been so very wrong at every step and he is content to spend millions to not quickly find this man. The story of the van is so odd. State Police claim during news conference van was stolen during the night when owner was asleep. But owner's own comments on social media claim he/she were working 7 PM - 9 PM and van was gone the next morning? What 's wrong with that? ( I hope their insurance agent was watching! Leaving keys in commercial van is so irresponsible. Especially so during a murderous escaped convict's dragnet. Just speculation but it seems to me that perhaps the van was used to help him escape, not stolen at all? Who had access to the van? Seems more likely a worker at dairy took van. Owner figured worker had the van. Next morning found out NOPE from worker. So owner reported it stolen. If the owner was working at Diary 7-9 PM and no one else had access then wouldn't have realized that huge white van was gone at 9 PM not the next morning? The State Police lead officer keeps claiming he has a good idea where this fugitive is heading but he didn't see him trying to reach out to past co-workers for help? How many people in Chester Co speak Portuguese? Makes me wonder if there are a lot of illegals working in agri biz. Police never applied for federal warrant timely or some Judge denied it over and over for days? Which is it? Why don't we see the County Sheriff at the press conferences? Wouldn't that dept know the terrain and the people best? Once the Marshalls got involved they should have taken over as lead. This is shameful so far. Commending his troups and telling us they are doing a terrific job just makes it all sound even more dishonest. And why didn't he let the DA or the Marshalls Lead speak? He told some of the press they needed to direct some questions to those folks and then didn't let them speak. He is terrible! Arrogant and cocky. But so far, totally ineffective and just shows how bad he is as every hour ticks by.

truth? he knew to look for an old one, with either: a. key 'trapped' permanently in tumbler, can't remove OR b. piece of crap with worn out cylinder, start it with a screwdriver or a tree twig stuffed in the lock cylinder. lol.

In this day and age, why do people STILL leave keys in their vehicles?!

@@lyniereese1150 Nhaa people do it all the time and their stupid. My last room mate delivered pizzas and he left his car running with keys at hospital while on delivery. It was stolen when he went inside obviously. Later he found it and crack heads were living inside it. Funny shit.

Pathetic how Chester's prison did nothing to prevent this from happening after another prisoner escaped from months prior to this incident. They have enough time to close the gap between the roofs with bars. There are tons of security cameras nowadays with human motion software that notifies when a human moves in front of it. Placing a few of these cameras on the roof and around the perimeter of the fence will cost pennies to prisons. It seems as technology advances, authorities' common sense degrades, or they simply don't care because nobody is holding them accountable.

At this point they mind as well just drop his charges 🤦🏽‍♀️

I don’t understand why do people leave keys in a truck or van??

They need to hand this manhunt off to more competent people. There not using all resources. Prison escape searches that take this long are unacceptable.

The latest news are saying that his roommate is anxious for him to be caught. He said he was very busy working hard. Yes they all work hard, and take the money to Brazil buy several houses and avoid taxes in America. Get the Tax Dept to catch him for tax evasion.

Makes sense. There’s no way he randomly stumbles onto a dairy farm and finds keys in a van…I used to live out there and nothing is near anything else and it’s pitch black at night. Hills and deep woods. He’s got help.

I love the way the police have enough assault weapons for a small military. They need to focus on catching a slippery guy who is comfortable in uncomfortable circumstances. I doubt this will involve laying down suppression fire.
