DANDAPANI - Former Monk with a 300 Year Plan | Workspaces and People New York | Ep. 2

Dandapani and I met about 5 year ago on an event in Hamburg. One sentence he mentioned I could no longer get out of my head anymore: “Where awareness goes, energy flows.” To me those 5 words were magical and especially today become more and more important as it seem that our attention is drawn away so easily. I am very thankful to have met during our New York trip and although it’s not a topic that fits “WORKSPACE” at first sight, I find it so essential because to me “SPACE” starts nowhere else then in your own mind.
We talked about focus and priorities, relationships and choices. How much time do you spend with yourself? How do you know what you want in life? How does digitalization and workspace influence the quality of our relationships?
Dandapani is a former monk, Hindu priest and speaker on self development topics. He has a unique ability to simplify the understanding of the mind, make spiritual tools practically applicable in everyday life, create systematic approaches to self development that allows for sustainable change and relate what he teaches to everyday life

Christoph Magnussen is one of the crew members and founder at Blackboat. A digital consultancy specialized in New Work and Cloud Collaboration. He is an entrepreneur since high school. After graduating from University of St. Gallen (HSG), he co-founded a mobile phone reCommerce company which grew from 1M to 31M in revenue in less than 5 years. To scale the business, he wouldn’t just add manpower. Instead, he was obsessed with increasing individual productivity through latest online collaboration tools and new work methods.

I love hearing Dandapani . Being of Indian origin, I have been introduced to meditation and a yogic way of life early on. But he is the first to correlate or weave meditation, purpose and how to lead your life beautifully by priorities, focus, energies , concentration, will power. Loved it . Great job Magnussens !

but for many people knowing what they want is paved with finding out what they don't want... this is the purpose of mistakes. We can know the basics of what we want but flesh it out with things we discover we don't want... and gradually, by process of mistakes, we replace the ideals and see more clearly how what we want really looks like. We are not born knowing what we want or what we need, we only have a basic picture we work out over time through experience. I suspect that people who say they don't know what they want are often not being honest with their answer, because what they have is 2nd best to what they want and they don't want to lose 2nd best when the better option is not yet at hand.

Thanks Christoph for doing this and making it available to all! I always enjoy listening to his wisdom - he just don't speak any useless word. Conclusion of his talk in following points... > Wherever awareness goes energy flows there > Decide your purpose of life then you can decide your priorities and then you can focus on them > Take out time everyday to know yourself > At workspace: Have "red flags" time = focus time = or have headphones :) > At home: Give your undivided attention to your loved ones. Reserve space and time for work. Feel relaxed at home. > Practice: Developing will power - Just do it by finishing what you have decided. :) > In order manifest something in your life you don't need time you need energy! > Go step by step and do something beautiful

Sadhguru for the most part is Captain Obvious, Dandapani is not so much, but in fact, they concur on most points, so it makes no sense to put them side by side. It would be more interesting if they could argue on some crucial point, but I don't think two wise spiritual people would do that.

The way I am trying to bring my ancient authentic Art to the stage to create awareness because its practical gone. He is one of the few that make sense when he speaks. Many people need his knowledge because millions are lost trapped in Maya......thank you for sharing this inspiring video!

So when the camera in not really rolling, like for the show, Mr Dandapani walks around in jeans, without his "warrior"/Apache monk make-up and big necklace beats. Then camera's rolling: The show clothes come out, make-up goes on en his is some reflection of an Monk-image we all must believe? With all respect for the sharing of knowledge and with all respect for him, but it just does not feel right.
