Love this book. I've already made the Flirtation Bracelet. Since I wear mostly silver, I made it with silver seed beads but did the turquoise bicones like in the instructions. It came out beautiful. Winston is such a cutie. I love his paw signature in the book.

+Susan Heyborne, I got the book, but I still have problem making this necklace. I've been re-done it 2 times, but still didn't turn out like the picture in the book. For the 1st and 2nd round, I used Toho beads. For the 3rd round(2 beads in one stitch), either I used Toho or Miyuki round, they don't fit in the gap. Could you let me know what brand of beads you used in your project? Or do you think it's not about the brand of beads, but about the tension? Thank you. I've read the previous messages and I know it's not ok to mention the size of beads. I'll keep it with me.

Sabrina, I am sorry, but I have given the necklaces away, and can't now check them against my beads to see which ones they were. I know I did not use Toho. I think they would be too cylindrical to use. Use a more rounded bead instead, and make sure to use the sizes that Jill specifies. The point is that as the beads try to fit in the space, they will distort the strip into a spiral. Sorry that I can't look at the finished necklaces and be of more help to you. Good luck.

Hi Susan, thank you so much for the reply. I did use the bead size that Jill mentioned in the book. I think you're right about Toho which is too cylindrical to fit in the space. I'll consider to use either Miyuki round(not delica) or Matsuno.

My son ordered the book for me as a Mother’s Day present (think we have ours at a different time here in the UK) and it arrived this morning! Sadly no special Winston autograph but at least I have the book! Made this necklace this evening, Preciosa seed beads and one colour 8/0 unknown make, possibly even Chinese (oops), but it’s really pretty and it is going to be worn a lot this summer - if I make any for presents I will use Miyuki or Toho .... so this is a roundabout way of saying thanks for some lovely designs Jill!

Hi Jill. I have your book with this project in it. I haven't attempted to do the full project yet, but I have been experimenting with colors and making "barbie necklaces". I have found a color combination that I think will do well, and plan to try a whole necklace soon. However, I like the colors of the necklace in the book. But when I search for these colors that are listed in the book they are not on your website, and I cannot find them on any other sites. Could you please let me know the brand and the brand's number for these beads? Also I love your tutorials! They are great and very helpful. Thank you.

I feel as though if you're going to do a tutorial on something show a FULL TUTORIAL....ingredients/materials, how much/many, etc. I'm not trying to be rude or anything I'm just saying it'd be nice to see EVERYTHING

+Krissyb810 I give away a LOT of projects and information. But this is also how I make a living. So I can't give away everything for free or there would be no channel at all and I would be back working in the corporate world again. Yes, it would be nice to give away everything. But it's not realistic.

As a beginner who is trying to study & build up a bead collection, it's really hard to buy a book from the us, it would be atleast a third more to pay, just in taxes.. and when it passes trough sweden it's really really unsure if ehat you order will even make it to you, their postal service is an absolute mess.. I can understand that you wan't to sell & make money, but it really sadens me bcs there is auch a limit already for me in what I can do, bcs often the requred materials is impossible to get here & whennyou think you have it & get happy about being able to make something, you cant bcs all the needed information you have to buy a whole book for, pay a heap of taxes & then maybe not even get the product.. esp if its a few years old, I can't understand why one couldn't list the materials with a link to your webshop instead when some time has passed..
