I can't speak for the people who don't like Alana but she wasn't the only contestant on the video, so maybe that's why they watched. What gets me is how so many of the people who whine about the "Alana haters" don't seem to get that someone writing a comment on a KZread video is not the same as bullying her. (You didn't claim that but many others have done that within the comments here.) Alana is likely too busy in daily life to be in search of random, negative KZread video comments, and there are so many that she'd have to a glutton for punishment to even want to read them. I doubt she is. Alana's sassy, near obnoxious attitude is likely encouraged by her show's producers and such because, who would watch a "reality" show if she was a sweet little girl with "no problems"? Can we spell b-o-r-i-n-g? People love to hate and feel better than others, and that's why there's some gravitational pull to crap shows. I kind of think Alana will be okay and, in time, will choose a healthier lifestyle. I've read she has severe asthma, and if that's true, that alone should eventually force her to make changes for her own better health just to save her life. Don't worry about the hateful comments, Alana does set the stage for them, but not all are as hateful as they are truthful - brutally so, but still truthful.

WOW!! All the parent's on here leaving nasty comments about a child. This is what's wrong with today's generation of kids! A parent is supposed to be raising their kids with good Morales, respect,compaction towards living things, hard workers, taking responsibility for your own actions. As parents it's our job to teach our kids right from wrong. To help others and encourage one another. Adults should be building confidence in a child! Parents should be taking insecurities away making their children feel Brave and strong. Ready to face any bump in the road that life throws at them. Learning to deal with stress so it won't completely break them when they become adults. This makes me so sad and sick to my stomach. I feel sorry for non parents on here as well, with the nasty comments. Your parents failed to raise you the correct way also. Just because you confess your sins every Sunday. Doesn't automatically Grant you a key into his kingdom. Didn't your parent's ever teach you to think before you speak, or in this case type?

I'm saying that the only encouragement she's ever gotten is to keep acting outrageous. As long as the only clips that are aired are of her being at her worst, and her manager and family keep exploiting her obnoxious behavior, where's that positive encouragement you keep talking about? What you or I have to say about her or to her makes no difference. There's an expectation that she'll perform predictably, or she's out of a job. Nobody relying on her for a paycheck is about to encourage her to behave more dignified or appropriately. By the way, being that age isn't a license to behave badly. That's an excuse for people who are too lazy to parent properly through the part of a child's life that they need it the most.

I most certainly AM a parent to a 21 year old that didn't behave that way, and I was a teacher and know plenty of other children that didn't behave that way, either. At no point did I use the term delinquent, so I don't know where you came up with that. I'm placing the blame where it belongs...on the people that surround her and encourage this attitude, and this "fan base" that thought it was cute when she was little, and still think it's cute while she's becoming an obnoxious teenager. I've said it before....if you want her to not be judged or criticized harshly, encourage her to get out from in front of the camera. Reality TV is all she's ever known...how healthy is that?

The attitude doesn't really bother me- she's a teenage girl, and she'll grow out of it. Better this way than no confidence in herself. It sounds like her family is hugely supportive. My concern would be her weight- and not at all fat shaming, just for a competition like this, you have to be very light and agile. When they asked her partner his biggest concern, he seemed to be stumbling around the weight issue.

Wow how can people be so rude to a 13yr old girl about her weight. In my eyes that is bullying and it's rude as I seen my own daughter go through it and it's sad how bad it hurts the child. I am a bigger girl. I am not obese or anything but I am not stick thin. I workout everyday. I eat healthy. I am not obsessed over weight and I am not saying she needs to be, but Alana really REALLY needs to loose weight. She is only 13, but when I was that age I worked out and was healthy. 13 is old enough where something about her weight needs to be done, like yesterday. No more eating 10 million calories everyday.
