Being a lot of LOVE SONGS out there, this comes with a diferent perspective of it and makes it more sublime and cool than others... surprisingly one the best if not the best of the album.

Seriously, I love that they stop playing and then the music comes back in on the line "Whether you want it, want it or not."

I don't care what anyone says. This album is amazing and this song is the tits.

About 5 years ago me and my roommate were having a conversation about the lyrics of this song and to me it's about kids who pretty much grow up with a warped sense of romance due to having to raise themselves. Distant parents, no real contact with their peers, etc. Your typical alienated adolescents, a story as old as..modern society I guess. Just my interpretation.

First time I heard this song, I wasn't paying attention to the lyrics. I just loved Tillian's voice and it became so catchy. Then I was paying attention to the lyrics more and I'm like...oh. This is kinda rapey.

+young braap I guess that could be true if dgd were bad writers, but they are not. He's talking to the girl the whole time evidenced by the chorus "girl then I swear I'll take you home." so he refers to her as "you" therefore when he follows it up with "whether you want it, or not. whether you like it, or not." So he is indeed forcing himself on her.

Ever since I heard this song shuffle on to my Spotify, I have found myself enjoying it extremely, despite the somewhat non-consensual and rapey lyrics. But somehow, the lyrics make it that much more epic. And it all just works so wonderfully. Definitely needs a pt. II in the future.

Honestly I don't listen to this band a lot but from what I've heard with all the different vocalists I dig it, but the one thing that draws me to this band is Matt Mingus. The dude is a killer drummer and always comes up with a great drum part for their songs

By far the best song on the album, can't get enough of it!
