It was great to see and listen to this from 12 years ago again. Dana never seems to disappoint during her live performances. Joplin and Plant all rolled up into one gorgeous package. She can rock and be soulful and bounce with so much energy in every track throughout her lifetime. Mine too in listening to this iconic singer since her debut album.
Didn't know her before. Heard her voice and was sure Janis Joplin is back from heaven on earth! This woman is a gift to us. Great!

Come on, I knew Janis and saw her perform, she's high pitched and couldn't carry the notes that long. Dana has a deeper voice and the baddest azzzz guttural scream I've ever heard. But Great.

DANA FUCHS BLOG : HELLO FROM TOUR EVERYONE! (2010, March) I’m 4 weeks in and 2 to go! It’s been a journey of ups, downs and all arounds per usual. I’m gonna lay it out as it were and preface it all by reminding you: Let life happen to you. Believe me: life is in the right, always. The tour started rough. Jon and I got terrible bronchitis on the 1st leg through Germany. I have never experienced such pain in my lungs while singing! A week in, it got so bad they sent a doctor (I’ll call him Dr.Walt) to my dressing room after soundcheck and he said I was a mess. Doc stayed for the whole 90+ min show and then waited another hour for me to sign CD’s and greet fans! (He said I should have given everyone in line his card!) The next day, he insisted in seeing the whole band! He took our blood, fully examined us, with rubber gloves, and gave us all antibiotics. Full service for no payment! Dr.Walt advised me to cancel my show for the next night and I took his advice.(Sorry Erfurt). But I needed the day off because we had a TV performance on Rockpalast in Cologne that was 2 days away with interviews, photo shoots, etc…so I knew I had to get better! Plus, it just f**king hurt to breathe - let alone sing! I suffered through about 5 more shows (did anyone notice?) and then by the time we did our last show in Hamburg, I was on the mend. Thank you Dr.Walter Schellert of Aschaffenburg!! Thank you all the people who gave me herbal teas, onion juice (which is actually quite tasty!) Glögg wine, and a whole lotta love! This has been dubbed the “Church of Love Tour” because every night me and the band baptize, and get baptized back, by the audience! (Don’t get hung up on the word.) I made a new policy for shows vowing to give all my heart and soul if the audience promises to give it back. We start the show by making this promise to each other and wow has everyone delivered! Thank you Germany!
One more thing…. I believe Dana and I would have an amazing connection if we could ever meet face to face because we are both “HCP” I as well an a bongo player plus some. My wish is to meet her one day
..uncompromising stuff, tasty guitar and a rhythm section that pushes things along just nicely.

I would love to hear Anouk sing "Moment Away" (40.00) That song would reach another level with her voice! Sorry Dana, but you missed quite a few notes and the clarity just wasn't there! But John wrote and played it beautiful, maybe it would be a classic if you gave it to Anouk?

For people who don't know: Dana had a bad cold and was on stage with a fever. For these circumstances, it was a great performance.
