Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This video is Part 3 of a 3 part series on the disassembly and refresh/rebuild of a Dana 60 king pin front differential from a 1990 F350. We cover things such as cleaning and inspecting axle shafts, installing knuckles, removing and installing new spindle bearings, installing brake caliper brackets and dust shields, rebuilding the upper king pins, installing the spindles, installing wheel hubs and bearings, packing wheel bearings with grease by hand and with the Gearwrench bearing greasing tool, installing wheel hubs, and installing Yukon lockout hubs. This video is also Episode 9 for Project Brutus, our 1987 F350 crew cab diesel dually field find that's being converted to 4WD.

Scott this has been such an informative rebuild series and I’m so glad you took the time and effort to post this. I’ve never seen how a dually hub is different from a standard Dana 60 and learned a lot along the way. I’ve really appreciated your spirit of excellence and keeping the rebuild simple as well as using everyday hand tools. Can’t wait for the next video. Take care👍

I'm getting ready to rebuild a couple axles about twenty years old, just picked them up, haven't done this job in forty years, good reminders of all the intricate details inside the axles and hubs, thanks for a clear and easy to follow demonstration.

You do it quite well, and describe it in fine detail. I swapped out an old 62 GMC pickup truck chassis back in the eighties, I really enjoyed your presentation.@@THEBULLETPROOFGARAGE
Well son of a gun, I’ve never thought to put grease on before painting! That’s friggin genius!

Keep these videos coming man! Like your style. I'm about to pickup a similar model f350 this Friday: single owner, says she turns over but won't start. Been sitting in the California sun for 10 years

M DeVido - sounds like a great project! These IDI engines are simple, so it shouldn't be difficult to get it running again. Good luck and thanks for the input! Scott

Where did you find the hubs?

The dually hubs? Someone on a message board sold them to me - maybe Ford-Trucks.com? They also pop up for sale periodically on Facebook Marketeplace. thanks
Where did you source your rotors? I have noticed the hub to rotor bolts in my rotors from rock auto are loose and I believe they should be smaller holes. Thanks !

Hey Scott, so I just went ahead and ordered Sky Offroad's FORD-FSROB-003-BLK kit. With that being said I was wondering if you ever did an adjustable pan hard bar on Brutus I know it's been over a year since then. I just wanted to reach out since some people say they don't use one others say it is crucial to do the swap with anything above 4" of lift. Any help or advice is much appreciated. -Tyler

I think I did the adjustable panhard bar. Best bet is to check with the folks at Sky Offroad. They were really helpful with my order. Good luck with it! Scott
