Man this is the exact video I was looking for! Super helpful! Im about to setup a Super Duty Dana 60 for the 1st time ever, I have all the appropriate tools needed. But understanding the shims etc was confusing. I like the idea of not using any shims under the inner bearing. That seems like the way to go.

@WarPaintOffroad appreciate it! So I've torn down two factory untouched 05+ Dana 60 HPs from super duties. Neither had those large oil slingers behind the head of the pinion and inner bearing. So I assume most shops use a standard shim the same thickness there. Or do what you're saying and don't run any shims there and put them all in the outer stack.

Thanks buddy! We are getting there. The suspension and stuff which I’ll start putting out soon will make some really good content.

To make a set up race..sure. It might take a bit longer. I just use a flap wheel in my grinder. Makes pretty quick work of it.

@@WarPaintOffroad thanks. I've been doing alot of studying and prep work for doing regear myself. The more I watch and study, the more I'm convinced that anyone should do it. It's just tedious. And most people want a 1 day turnaround. How the yukon gear holding up?
