Guys, he is just incredible. His version of Angels We Have Heard on High is absolutely stunning. Sung in 4 languages (those most common for his fans), it is amazingly beautiful.

Remember, Dan is a HEAVY METAL singer! Growls and screaming is a big part of that style.

He does it all himself - Everything

As far as the backing tracks on Dan's covers go, sometimes he purchases them and sometimes he does them himself. He usually says in the description (and he always credits guest artists). He often does his own arrangements plus the mixing, etc. so he can get exactly the sound he wants.

Dan does not purchase his backing tracks. He does them himself or pays musicians he trusts to give him the quality he wants to do them.

@@josiahrobinson6135 Some of his old ones, he bought. He would look for instrumental tracks he could sing to. It's how he met Victor. Well, I assume he paid for the tracks he used. He isn't the kind of guy that would steal people's work. But yes, now he does it all himself, and/or hires other artists to play parts. He always credits the folks who work on his videos.

Dan Vasc has more hidden tools in his toolbox than can be imagined! He's got such a smoothed edge with his growls and screams it's incredible! With the vocal ability that Dan has trained his talent to become he can place those growls and screams right where he wants them to be and they are pitch-perfect ... nothing accidental. Great reaction to this great song.

He does it ALL HIMSELF the mixing everything. His brother Davi is his lead guitarest.😊 ❣️❣️ Dans cover of the Elvis Trilogy is from 6 yrs ago , He recorded it after his Father passed from cancer. His emotions were raw , he did the cover beautifully. He shares a picture of his Dad and himself as a young boy. He is very real and true to himself.

I'm hooked, too. 😀 One correction...Davi plays bass guitar. Gabriel Belozi plays both electric and acoustic guitars. I can't remember the name of their drummer, but I DO know he's HUGELY fantastic! At one time, early on, they seem to have had a keyboardist, but they don't seem to, now--at least not officially. Dan can play keys, and I've seen at least one video where (at least when he was younger), he could play guitar. I think these days he spends more time on the digital parts of the mixing and mastering. So superb!

So glad you guys did this one. Not only do we get to hear a great cover of this song with so many magnificent nuances that Dan's vocals showcase but we get to watch your faces each time he pulls out a new vocal style. Great reaction guys. Peace✌

If you want to experience something completely different, check out his cover of "The Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera. Dan is the most versatile singer I've ever heard. If you want to hear him sing opera he has a cover of "Nessun Dorma" that is unbelievable. I love your reactions and am a new subscriber!

I wrote a very long comment to a duo of reactors who did a very strange reaction to "Amazing Grace." I wrote about the ACTUAL emotions that were SO much in evidence throughout the song--if you know anything at all about operatic theater. Dan has trained for opera (which was the second "voice" he used in "Amazing Grace," plus at the end, by the way). I saved a copy on my computer, and I'd be happy to share that breakdown of what he was actually saying, feeling, and doing, that made that song so very, very fantastic, if you like. You can check my channel's "about" page for a way to let me know. As far as the music backgrounds that Dan uses, for the most part, he does the largest bit of the work. He can play more instruments than his beloved harmonica that came from his dad when he was very young. He also does most of his own mixing and mastering. Plus he has a TON of musical friends and family members (including his brother Davi, who also plays bass guitar). He and Davi and two others have a band called Fearless. Their guitarist in the band, Gabriel Belozi, also has done some very special songs with a project they began, that is called Spyglass Inn. You should also check out Dan's operatic work. Plus, since you mentioned his range, you REALLY need to go check out his "One-Man Choir" (24 parts--including ALL of the ranged parts). I used to be able to sing all of those parts, too--for me, it was unusual because I was a first soprano, and I could sing all of the bass parts. With Dan, it's unusual because he can sing all of the first soprano parts....in "Handel's Hallelujah [Chorus], from The Messiah." Check it out! I guarantee you'll not only be amazed, but entertained. 😀

Hi, BP1 and BP2. Enjoyed this song. IMO, the "growl" that Dan Vasc does works in this song. It blended well with the rest of the song. About 2 years ago, you guys did a reaction to a group called Jinjer and the song was "Pisces". I will never forget that song or BP1's initial reaction when the lead female singer, Tatiana, went from a soft female vocal to a deep growl. I remember that part of the song because, IIRC, I felt that my reaction was much the same as BP1's. Just totally caught off guard. It WAS different !! Anyways, if your viewers have not seen that video from 2 years ago, they might want to go back into your catalog of songs and have a listen. It was a big part of my musical education!! 🙂

Great reaction, guys! Just one little quibble - I've been listening to Dan for almost three years now (my Dan-niversary is 9/15), and I'm not used to what he does, so, with all due respect, you cannot possibly be used to him after just a couple of songs. That was the only flaw in this reaction.

Now listen to his version of Music Of The Night from Phantom Of The Opera. Its the best version I've ever heard. He can do anything.

Great reactions! Dan Vasc is absolutely amazing. He has an incredible vocal range which he worked hard to perfect. He embodies every song he performs, whether it's a cover or an original song by Fearless, the heavy metal band he fronts that includes his brother Davi and two longtime friends, Gabriel Belozi and Giovanni Rezende, and all his reactions are completely genuine. Since so much has already been said here and you enjoyed this cover you might want to consider giving Fearless a listen as well. Dan has mentioned in previous comments that new music from Fearless would be forthcoming and a recent post by a recording engineer talking about putting the final touches on music from Fearless leads me to believe we may see a new epic storyline soon. I'll definitely be checking his website for updates! You mentioned being surprised that his accent didn't come through. He speaks multiple languages so that's not a surprise. 🙂

Mr. Vasc is my hero. Music affects us all in different ways. His version of amazing Grace brought my soul to it's knees, gave me a come back to God moment and gave me back my love for music after not listening to it for 15 years because of a bout with depression. So yeah, he's my hero. He does so many genres of music I don't think I'll ever get caught up. I never liked metal all that much well, now I like it a lot. 😂❤ Great show

He is a fully trained singer, he also preps his vocal chords the day before and rests the day after. Since he doesn't tour like musicians usually do he isn't doing that day in and day out, he gets plenty of rest time in between.
