Yeah my favorite Select figure is definitely Carnage. Incredible sculpt, nice paint, good amount of accessories, and very poseable with wide range of articulation. The figure made me think that Select might actually surpass Legends..

I don't get why only certain figures get articulation. They should look into standardizing their system.

The entire guardians select wave was superior to legends guardians of the galaxy.

I prefer select because they actually have good sculpt (at least most of the time) and paint with shading. Where i feel like hasbro never seems to do so

Forgivw me if youve done this idea in the past, but i think you should do the top 10 Marvel selects that can fit in your marvel legends collection.

I've recently acquired Marvel Select Thanos and Marvel Select Ultron. I'm still waiting for them to arrive though. I hope they fit with my ML collection. Judging by the reviews I've seen they do, so I'm excited. Yours is actually a very good idea, since some Marvel Select figures are better than their Legends counterpart.

Which one?

Carnage is definitely worth picking up if you can find him for less than $30. He's a great figure and he's easily my favorite out of the 4 I have (Disney Store Exclusive Spider-Man (2016 version), Disney Store Exclusive Agent Venom, Carnage and Deadpool. Deadpool being the worst select figure I've ever had.

The carnage is amazing, I bought the venom when he was re-released an was able to find carnage in a local comic shop for like 26 bucks. and I love how he looks, scale is abit bleh to go w/ ML but I still prefer him to any other

Funny enough I wanted that Spidey for awhile but ended up getting the one with Spidey shooting a web at a guy sticking him to a wall I believe. I ended up getting rid of it. Glad I never got that green car Select Spidey. The more I look at it, the more I don't like it. Deadpool's arms are just too big and it limits his arm movement on top of no ab crunch, can't stand for shit, and not being able to hold his swords well. He's just a really meh figure.

Yeah his scale don't really go as good with ML like Venom does. Other than that though, he's amazing. I passed on the reissue of Venom because I got Carnage that day. I went back 2 weeks later and all 3 Venoms they had were gone, so I'm still kinda bummed about that lol.

The MS Ultron scales perfectly with Marvel Legends, looking much more imposing than the Legends one, and the articulation is quite decent. Also, their Thanos is not bad at all, he is just too chunky in the torso region.

Thanos is perfectly fine! He is supposed to be between 6’7”-7’0”. 1000 lbs. He is huge. By far one the best Selects, if not the best. Never heard a bad review of this figure. I’m a big fan of the Titan, and the head sculpt is flawless.

I enjoy Marvel select more then Marvel legends in /most/ cases, they have less articulation but usually better paint and accessories, two good examples of this are the Marvel Select Sandman, and the Marvel Select Carnage.

I have the same issue with Marvel Select, too big not enough appeal and no possibility, that's why I only own 2...that Agent Venom looks awesome doe 😶

Uatu the Watcher has an amazing MS, I have about 15 mostly the beefy figures. Favorites I own would be; Juggernaut, Abomination, Thanos and Red Hulk. Also really love what they did with The Destroyer with Odin Head Sculpt.

My favorite marvel select is the deadpool one. I would say that that one and the marvel legends one are the definitive deadpool figures

The MS Carnage is the very best Carnage and MS figure to date. Grab one as soon as you can before the end of days.

The problem is that it's still going to be Carnage, one of the most derivative, simplistic, uninspiring lazy characters ever created.

Heard about the problem with Cables shouldergun alot.To solve it you have to push the two pieces on the gun together. Strength necessary.

I am interested to see a versus of Gladiator Hulk when the select drops. From what I've seen, the legends is really nice and the entire wave is worth collecting (though I would have rather had Odinson from SDCC instead of young Thor, and it would have been nice to have some accessories with Loki). But the Legends does seem just slightly short when next to the new Thor. So hopefully the articulation on the select will be comparable to the legends. Either way, I look forward to that hopeful versus!!

Good call! That's a Hulk that SHOULD be huge. Hopefully it looks a bit less grotesque than some of the previous MS Hulk figures.

Just amazing paint and sculpt on these. I have a handful and some are duds but some diamond figures are just awesome. Posability takes a hit on most but sculpt and paint is just fantastic!

Articulation on most is just frustrating. Or rather, that some GET articulation and others don't.

The moment you made the comment about Juggernaut being able to scale to the six inch line, I was positive I knew what figure was going to be number one. And yes that is what happened. I agree to an extent, I have Juggernaut, Thanos, Destroyer, Gladiator Hulk, Marvel selects, and plan on adding Colossus, other Hulks, Mephisto, Groot, that Venom(agree about being there from the start and it coloring your perception of your preferred Venom, I'm right there with you on that) and of course Uatu if they ever re-release it.

I'm just amazed that you got Venom to stand on his own. I use the Anti Venom base for and sometimes that is iffy. Oh btw the Stealth War Machine for # 2 is just awesome!

If you don't have them you should definitely pickup thanos,hulk,and Ultron those are great and it may be arguable but they might be the best figures of those characters in the 1/12 scale

+Toy Galaxy I ended up opting for the Revoltech. He's smaller, about 6 inches, but he had the sculpt and proportions I liked. But yeah. That legends Ultron is a deep, dark low point.

Auntie Venom! That sounds AWESOME! I am sure there is a symbiote Aunt May somewhere in the annals of Spider-Man.

I like Select but my main collection is Legends. I try to get Selects that will scale well with my Legends but sometimes it won't matter if the figure is gorgeously detailed or just plain cool looking!

The Marvel Select comic book Hulkbuster actually scales VERY nicely with Marvel Legends. You may want to check it out if you haven't already. That Hydra Cap figure looks pretty great.

Cap is awesome. I really, really don't like that design of the Hulkbuster. Aesthetically it just doesn't appeal to me. definitely prefer the movie look.

I actually got my first select figure the other month kinda surprised about the lack of joints tho it seems that you get them for all dem accessories which I see alot of people using them with legends ... Also also still amazing that the minimates people's produce them

MrVash104 because marvel select are big on paint apps and detail they have quality over quantity not big in articulation they are meant for display like statues your not going to get crazy action poses with them

My favorite Select Figure is Ghost Rider! Not that much posable, but the base with the figure on it really rocks. Great paint apps, the fire, the ashes, the blue suit nice! Same to the sculpted hands, reaching out the fire. Also it's costumizable with leds so the fire on base will really glow! Next to it i like Juggernaut and The Thing. They both really huge and massive (beyond 2lbs each!), not much posable but great in their presence! Last but not least there is the Green Goblin with bond Peter Parker. Great accessory, the Peter Parker fig is sculpted very well and really comic accurate! Love this piece!

THose Juggernaut, Thing, Hulk, Abomination figures are so heavy I always wonder if they had to pay an excessive shipping charge or if they just shipped few of them from the factory.

My favorite select is the ultron with the defeated antman and wasp stand. He looks perfect especially since I prefer his vintage comics look

The marvel select wolverine that came out in 2013 for the Japan based wolvie movie, was just perfect. There's no proper error in the figure and it's definitely Hugh jackman's face on that figure. Not only that but 2 extra headsculpts and the sword showcased in the movie. IMO select figures are very underrated, the recent civil war line had the best Bucky, capt and iron man movie based figures. I wish these figures were better scaled, because they're the best figures at their price point.

The Green Goblin with tied up Peter Parker accessory is pretty cool, so is the comic version of Dr. Strange.

Used the bottom of that war machine base as part of a roof for a customized turtle van

I'm always impressed with the ability of customizers to see parts everywhere.

Select Hulkbuster Iron Man scales very well with Legends too. And it's a pretty cool figure too.

If you hadn't made it explicit that these are the only Marvel Legends you own I wouldn't know what to make of this list. I fully agree vis-a-vis the larger characters being better grabs for MS as they also work with ML. And frankly, most of the larger figures don't NEED as much articulation since they're not the most agile of characters. In that vein, I love Juggernaut, Abomination, and Destroyer. The new Groot is my main Groot, as the sculpt is brilliant and the articulation is quite nice (including ankle-pivot). My favorite Marvel Select is still Carnage, though. Fantastic sculpt and paint, lots of extra "morph" parts, and ankle-pivot.

Some of those big ones that I would LIKE to use at that size are so grotesquely sculpted (Hulk, the other Hulk, Red Hulk) that I really just can't justify them.

Oh, 100% agreed. Select has put out atrocious Hulk figures. But Juggernaut, Abomination, Rhino, Destroyer, Groot, and Thing are all beautifully sculpted. Thing is gorgeous, but really more like a statue. Rhino I should've mentioned in the first post because ankle pivot. You can get him in that iconic one-leg charging pose and he's better on sculpt and paint than the BAF, imo.

all the symbiotes seem to be pretty cool (Venom, Agent, Anti and Carnage) also the larger figures.

If I were to get anymore Selects it would probably be that Venom, their Carnage, animated Drax & maybe the swinging hammer Thor.

When collecting these figures, what do you look for the most? For me, it's articulation. I like being able to pose my figures.

Marvel Select specifically? It's gotta have decent articulation and scale with my Legends collection (Juggs, Colossus). Or just be an incredible version of a character that I love (Captain America, Agent Venom).

With any figures in general. For example, if I have an old Marvel figure with the y joint hips that looks great vs a new version of that figure with the modern hip joints but looks simpler or maybe less accurate, I would still pic the one with the better articulation.

Sweet, not too many Select videos that cone out. I dont own many, but I really like Zombie Magneto and Green Goblin, and the Venom and Carnage are two of my most favorite figures I own. The Carnage figure is especially impressive.

I was confused as to how The Wolverine figure was not on this list until you made the mention in the end. That is an incredible figure. Also check out the AoU Hulk, the sculpt and paint is amazing.

i have looked at Marvel select figures at various times,even been close to buying some. i just have to make a choice either legends or select,one or the other,and in the end legends are the overall better choice for me.

As Dan points out, there are several figures in the Select line that scale well with the Legends line and they constantly re-release them so their price on the secondary market is not extreme, and the paint apps are usually much better and they also come with better accessories most of the time. Those are the Select figures I go for(along with anything Captain America related, since that is my collection of choice)

Wish I could've got more of the Marvel Zombies. Only have Magneto and Sabretooth. Also have their Deadpool, MCU Dr Strange and Gladiator Hulk. I actually like their size over Marvel Legends.

I love the green goblin with the peter parker. Beautiful figure

i do like the magneto. it's reasonably priced. heck they need a real good magneto figure in general.

My number 1 would be Select Ultron. Super poseable (prob the most poseable one of the whole line) and a perfect representation of the classic Ultron look.

Im not a huge fan of marvel select but i do have the Green Goblin on his glider with the tied up Spider-Man and I just picked up the Gambit one and that is really an awesome figure

Both cool looking figures. But, like a lot of M/S, more statue than figure.

The Marvel Select figures only really work for the bigger characters. I have Colossus, Thor, Thing & Juggernaut, but I would never bother with a Spider-man or Cap because like most people, its mostly Marvel Legends.

That is a good Colosus, though I only have 2 Selects & they are the recent Gamora who I keep low to the ground to compensate for her long legs & a Black widow who doesn't scale at all with any figures so she guards my comics on my bookshelf.

a stand is number 2!! lol the stands Marvel Select/Diamond Select for their figures are awesome! I have a quite big Marvel Select Collection too many to rule off do have most of your top 10, though Anti Venom is on my list of to get, I've got from 7 to 1 of your list. Carnage is awesome Marvel Select all be it prob bit too big to fit with Legends, Ultron is a good shout too, Sabertooth maybe very 90s cartoon/Jim Lee design would fit with Legends. The Wolverine figure is awesome lucky I bought it when I did which was when it was released seen the astronomical prices hope you find one some day Dan! I had a couple of figures I had to hunt down and spent way too much on Loki from Thor movie and Hawkeye from the Avengers

There were several that I thought I was going to buy (movie Cap, movie Falcon, others) but once I saw them in person they just weren't quite "there" for me to justify expanding that part of my collection.

Im wondering where homecoming spider-man fits on the list.

you need to get the Select Thanos, Ultron and destroyer. Both work perfectly in a legends line.

My #1 thru #10 is all Colossus. He's the only Select I own, so that makes it an easy list. I do agree that I'm drawn to the larger characters that are by default larger in this line than Legends to help them scale well. The 90s era Sabertooth comes to mind, he's one I've debated getting just for display purposes despite a general consensus that the figure isn't all that great.

These are all solid. Wish you had the Select Carnage, that one is probably the best by far. Hope you get a chance to get one in your hands to review, would like to see your opinion on it!

Toy Galaxy HOLY CRAP! You actually replied! Lol yeah I can understand based off the price point these days. Weather or not your a fan of the character, I think it is probably the best one they've done regarding sculpt, accessories and actually good articulation. It's like the took all the complaints we all had about their Venom (which is still great) and remedied them with their Carnage. A shame it was discontinued. Anyway, love the channel, keep up the vids!

I didn't mind the Legends BAF Thanos but, in general.... [I just don't care about Thanos].

What about marvel select rhino?

Ive often dreaded collecting MS over ML but I mean I've found there's some gems in their newer items, just some are outdated. They're getting better.

The new Select Drax goes so much better with the comic GotG set than the one that came with it. I wouldn't even consider it oversized.

There are so many great Marvel Select figures, perfect details, unique design & more. I wish Marvel Select to make more of new X-men or 90's line, They have the best Gambit, Yellow Wolverine, Colossus & more... I hate the movie figures! I'm starting to collect the Marvel Legends new wave X-men 1 & 2 can't wait for wave 3! Thanks for the video!

McFarlane venom is my favorite too. Its just cooler/creepier if he looks like "Spider-Man with a mouth" instead of agiant glob monster with a 4 foot tongue, 5 heads and green goo everywhere. I also dont like when he has eye markings and eyes(mack gargan venom)

I don’t have any marvel selects but My most wanted marvel select is Logan from the wolverine. I also like the juggernaut and colossus. I’m waiting on marvel legends to deliver us a magneto and professor x maybe we will get them in 2018
