Ha! You kind of look like J. Scott Campbell too. I personally asked both McFarlane and Campbell at different times if they knew about the figure and informed them on how it was kind of named after each of them. Both were gentlemen, saying the figure looked like it represented the work of the other artist. Good video guys, I want to make one of these now.

Sorry to butt in - the biggest giveaway that this isn't based on McFarlane's work is the chest spider, I think. The emblem's closer to how Campbell draws it - McFarlane's version always had a rounder body, with slender legs that ended in elongated ovals. The emblem on the Homemade Suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming looks quite a bit like the McFarlane emblem.

Toybiz is definitely the golden era of Marvel Legends figures! The figures are just awesome, full of details, better looking, better shaping. I am really happy I still have mine.

I miss when they came with comic books. The fact that you get 1 body part with a figure and you have to collect 6 more figures to make him really irritates me. there is usually only 1 or 2 figures in each set that I want anyway.

The ideas of Build a figures is smart however they do not make good build a figures that much any more they are always too tiny honestly or not that well detailed some are nice yes but there are a few problems I fell like Yondu when he was at that diamond/antique shop "do you have any other cute little buggers like this one I like to stick 'em in a row on my control console,".

I'm surprised Cyclops made the list. I always thought the 70s/80s version was a better figure. The 90s version was always a case of "good enough" for me. And I like that costume way better!

For me, I prefer the Byrne Cyclops as well. But when I'm putting these lists together I try to consider what the collectors in general like and the Jim Lee Cyclops is the one that people HAD TO HAVE for years.

Awesome video, they're getting a lot more "funnier". I really appreciate all the silly edits. I agree with 6-1 completely. Spiral is a Hasbro figure though, I also think the Legendary Riders series taskmaster deserved a spot on the list, that thing is sick. But, going to have to agree with Greg over you, Cut is definitely the best Toybiz marvel legends figure EVER made.

Yeah, Spiral was Hasbro, and that wolverine in yellow was too. Toy biz made a tiger stripe wolverine, it wasn’t the same mold as the brown suit.

I use to have The Spider-man one which was #1 but since I was still very young I lost it and don't know where is it. I am still trying to find it and gain memory of it if I find it I am going to cry of JOY! I am not going to sell it. That was the best figure I had when I was young. I am gonna keep it forever again if I find it.

@@notgabed4527 Yeah...And I had like 500 Jazwares Sonic figures that I loved to death and lost (or broke...or both) nearly all of them, the only ones that are still alive in my home is a Tails (his bangs are missing), Sonic (his fist fell out at one point and we had to glue it back, same with his nose), and Shadow (his nose fell out (and we never found it) and his head fell out once and we glued it back on as well) and I love them all.

Pretty darned good list. A year or so ago I sold off both my McFarlane/Campbell Spider-Man figures, Face-Off Captain Americas, Brown Suit Wolverines, and my Dragon Man figure. Hey, I needed the money. FYI, Dragon Man is an android (not a scientist).

My collection has been sold and rebuilt several times over. I would never blame someone cashing out to pay bills, help their family, or just because you felt like it.

Yeah, I sold them off mostly because I didn't really "need" those figures anymore. The Dragon Man I sold because it was worth some decent money. The others I sold because I had replaced them with new ML figures that I felt were better versions of the same characters. (Pizza Spidey, new brown suit Wolverine, and the most recent version of classic Cap, etc.).

I didn't collect a lot of the Toybiz Marvel Legends, but I am glad most of the ones I bought ended up on this list. I feel like some of these remain the definitive toy versions of these characters like the brown suit Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and the Hulk.

Damn, I'm surprised to find that I actually have more of the figures on this list than I expected to! I've got Hulk, Cyclops (UGH I love that Cyclops), Captain America (masked), Deadpool and Spider-Man (probably one of the best Spidey figs ever made). I definitely feel that Deadpool still holds up today too. I want that Ghost Rider! Great list!

I'm jealous. I was away from Marvel Legends when the Face Off series hit so I missed that Cap and Hulk.

Sweet! Before I got out of Figure collecting, (cough, cough,the first time, cough,cough), I got Deadppol, and maybe Dragon man. I remember seeing that figure, but can't remember if I bought it...mostly because it looks like Smaug if he was made as a Funko Pop! figure...

Can't remember who built him, but Dragon Man was an android, unless some retcon after I stopped collecting comics changed that.

Damn good list, kind of surprised I own three of them. For me the only difference would be I would have went with the Spider-Man that came with issue 301 other than that I like this lineup.

I like 3 Cyclops figures Toy Biz (blue and white/blue and yellow) with the light up feature, and the Toy Biz Jim Lee version with the light up feature.

I had already quit collecting action figures but wanted that Deadpool and could never find it despite really looking for it. Nowadays it's a cool look back though. I had some of these. The Spider-Man was pretty revolutionary at the time.

Brother, I'm a huge fan, love your vids, and am in awe of your nigh encyclopedic knowledge of old toy lines, but I gotta take umbrage with some pretty glaring omissions here... where's FO Sabertooth, SMC Sandman, (the original) Annihilus wave Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Man-Thing, or the Legendary Riders wave Scarlett Witch?!? Ok, forget that last one, but I'm holding firm on all the rest... While I couldn't agree with you more on McSpidey in the top spot (I still think he's arguably the best 6" figure ever produced), I don't think that Deadpool, Wolverine, Cyke, or Ghost Rider hold up to subsequent re-do's (accessories be damned), and that Dragon Man, while sculpted absolutely gorgeously, is so woefully out of scale, he seems more at home as part of a 3 3/4" line. Of course, you're entitled to disagree with my opinions, but I'd be more than happy to thumb wrestle you to settle it... I wouldn't advise that though, given your confusion differentiating between open hands and closed fists. Keep up the great work, can't wait to point out what's wrong with your Hasbro ML list!

When I'm putting lists together I consider a lot of different factors: 1. Sculpt/paint 2. Articulation 3. Popularity of character 4. Value then/value now 5. How does the collecting community overall feel about it? Are people still posing it on IG and FB? 6. How important is this figure to the BRAND? (It's why Spider-Man will probably always win). 7. (Most important) Is there a joke for me to make? I'll always give joke-making potential weight over every other factor. Greg and I are trying to make an entertaining show FIRST and everything else is secondary. Maybe this should be #1 instead of #7.

I so prefer Toybiz Legends to Hasbro Legends. Just from a display point of view, they are nicer to look at. I don't mind paying a bit extra to get a good condition old Toybiz figures than to buy a brand new Hasbro figure (I've never been crazy about the Hasbro moulds anyway, sometimes way too simplified)

Great List, that House of M Iron Man is great Dragon Man I saw priced at $800.00. I thought both versions of Beast are really good not dated at all and hasbro have never surpassed the figure.

I ALMOST put regular furry Beast on here. It's a really great figure and absolutely holds up today.

Is the consumer a conformist ? New marvel legends action figures with very little to nothing in accessories or articulation just flashy boxes and more pricier figures. Oh yeah. Great review Dan. Two thumbs up.

Toy Galaxy my favorite is series 8 modern Iron Man...I mean it's not the best, but with all the Iron Man incarnations Toybiz had I thought one might made the Top Ten

They also should have a faceoff where Johnny looks like in the comics

It's great but that Juggernaut BAF wave is right there with it (which is funny since it's basically an homage to Series 6).

I wish they would've had a Thor vs. Loki Face Off 2 pack.

Great list! I might have split these into 3 different videos though. Maybe "Toybiz" "Hasbro Dark Ages" and "Hasbro ROML" but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also did you ever pick up the Sentinel series Bishop? Great figure and looks amazing next to the recently released x-men figures.

Yeah this could have been broken into 3, 10... SEVERAL videos. I have at times owned the Bishop. He's a bit too "He-Man" in his proportions for my personal taste. I'd love to see a revisit of that character even though I agree that he still works on an X-Men shelf.

I started collecting after the thor SDCC, my first ML was legit Bucky Cap, so i wasn't around for ToyBiz. I have got a couple of figures they made tho, X 23(she broke and was ugly). X Men Classic and ML Angels(both suck). My fav toybiz figure i own is X men classics Stealth Beast, yes his joints are loose, but he just looks so cool and hes so poseable and he kinda looks like a modern beast.

Just one nitpick... House of M Hulk wasn't a new figure, it was a slight remold of a previous figure from Hulk Classics. I own that figure and for me is number 2 in my top ten toy biz ones.

I would disagree about the Face Off Hulk. I think the Marvel Select Hulk looks just as good if not better. It has basically the same articulation except articulated fingers. Then again this is a Marvel Legends list so I'll let that "No better looking Hulk figure " comment slide.
