I saw that Venom is listed at 7'6" and Colossus 7'5" but their marvel select figures aren't similar in height. I wonder why Colossus was made taller. I've thought about shortening Colossus' legs for a while now but I'm not very good with such things. I have also thought about making a miss mash of a MS Venom body with Colossus arms, knee pads and boots but would have to sand down Venom so his body is smooth. Would also have to do a lot of sculpting Which I have never done. I just have a lot of crazy ideas. Also thought about just sculpting the costume on the marvel Legends Colossus.

I think venom has the same exact height as colossus. But you're right, I don't know why they've made venom so scrawny and short for its own line. I hate that everyone is fine having a puny venom, and when I say puny, is that they want him to be 6'5", and they want venom to be On the omega red mold or hercules mold, when venom is 7'5" and has the same proportions of colossus in terms of body mass. And the movie venom figure is too lanky for comic venom. So that's why I'm making my own marvel legends custom venom that has the same height and musculature of colossus. So now, venom can look great against the big characters like hulk, juggernaut, thanos, obviously colossus, beast, the thing, abominación, thor. Now he will towers over spider-man.

Another great custom job. I was torn between trying this and just caving and getting the X-Men classics Colossus even though I hate the way he is articulated. I’ll give this a shot!

Sorry, but Colossus is supposed to be 7'4"to 7'6" so the select is extremely accurate.

@@VADtoys I just checked and Colussus is suppose to tower over the Xmen. So I agree with OP, the MS is pretty accurate, but hey good job regardless on the shortening job

Your analysis of this Colossus is the exact way I feel about the select rhino. The marvel legend is way too boxy and the select is a perfect classic rhino but is too tall. I might try to replicate this with my select rhino. The legs part scares me tho

The MS Colossus simply blows away anything Hasbro could make, simple fact and no disrespect to hasbro. You pretty much made the best Classic C anyone could ask for.

I wonder just how long you have to heat up some of these figures in order for them to come apart like that. I'm trying desperately to shorten my DC Multiverse Beast Boy but his upper thigh piece just will not come off

vgamer11 By design and lack of a good way to grip the leg the upper thighs tend to be quite annoying to pull off. Heat it up for around a minute and a half (don’t have the hairdryer too close for that long though cause the dryer might overheat) and then pull while twisting it left and right.

@@VADtoys thank you for the advice! In the time since I posted the comment I realized that the lower thigh must be cracked open because of the construction of the leg itself. I will use this advice for my Marvel Legends though!

Looks good but the head is bit big, maybe you could swap with the marvel legends head and get a better proportions

Hes not tho and put him next to the select juggernaught and hes almost as tall as jug and juggernaut is 9 foot 5 colossus is 7 foot 5

Eh sure it’s accurate but the shorter colossus is just better in general I don’t think he would be as tall as let’s say hulk for example hulk in my personal opinion is 8’6 and colossus shouldn’t match up plus look at the cyclops figure he looks a lot better shorter than what he was

Hulk is above 8 feet, and if it is claimed he isnt then i think we all need to look at the animations, the comics and the movies and try to put this up to scrutiny.

Hulk changes in size left and right depending on whoever draws him and he's got an official reason as well (bigger the angrier he gets). However in the *official* Marvel information page he is 7.8.

That chart is good, but I prefer Cap being 6’3-ish. For someone who’s supposed to be physically perfect, I think he should be a *bit* taller

The select colossus is perfectly fine without this. Even in the picture you show at the end with the character lineup he's very close to the same height unmodified . Now he's just too short

@@whitezombified struggling to find almost any comic panels in which he is 10ft tall. If he's 8ft tall 99% of the time then that's the proper scale

Colossus is Taller than Zangief, Gief is 7 foot 400 lbs

He made him 8ft tall instead of 10ft tall, if you're looking to scale him with 6 inch then he did a perfect job.
