If you think about it, Damian calling himself the “blood” son instead of the “only” is him begrudging acknowledging that Dick is also Bruce’s son. He is his “unavoidable irritation”, brooding younger sibling speak for “annoying big brother who I’m secretly jealous of that is always there when I need him whether I want him to be or not”.

Red Hood almost always has a huge problem hurting kids cause he experienced abuse in the streets. The other thing is that Damian got payback multiple times from that beating,even recently he punched Jason so hard that Jason started crying and ran away.

I love that when Bruce called Alfred a friend, Alfred clearly looked at him like “oh wow so after all I did i’m just a friend.”

Damian definitely thought Bruce is POOR poor when he found out that Alfred is the only 'servant' in the house, especially when compared to the servants that he had back with the Al Ghul's.

Damian does come off as arrogant but people forget that he was raised by the league of assassins, but I’m happy that he does change as a character rather than staying this way. To the point where even Bruce and Dick respect and acknowledge him. I still remember that one seeing where he took Darkseid’s blast, and Bruce shred tears for him.

This is why Damian is my favorite Robin. Coolest origin story, best snarky remarks, and not afraid to speak his mind

Damien became one of my favorites after his initial rough start. The writers knew what they were doing with him. He’s annoying but in his own unique way that’s also endearing. He’s the head strong kid who makes a lot of mistakes while trying to be perfect.

ya'll saying that damien had a bad childhood(all the robins have a traumatic past look at grayson and red hood) and bruce wasn't there for him in the start is funny b/c bruce would've also been harsh on him not in the way of league of assasin but still harsh. did none you read in the comics about how bruce expresses his regret over time of how harsh he was on dick especially when that kid saw his parents being murdered infront of him just like bruce. grayson's character is quite great that he looks past all of the trauma and hurt and still is himself. he cares about damien like a brother which damien needed the most b/c bruce can't communicate well.
