Thank you so much for understanding that. The people who hate on him don’t see to get that which I don’t understand why. Damian for me is representing how person would act like especially from young age coming from dis functional family, violence neighborhood, or experiences something painful or Traumatizing in their life. The thing I love about Damian Wayne: he's basically grumpy-cat Robin. He also seems like what Batman would be if he was that young, still trained, and hadn't had much experience with people. He's the only Robin I've seen who seems like he'd really take up the mantle of Batman with sufficient quantities of skill, broodiness, and determination. With Batman, Bruce Wayne is the mask; Damian hasn't really made his yet.

Damian is the one who'd like to be the next Batman, but Batman would likely leave the cowl to Dick, Dick would resent it, but because he does he'd use it with a lot more restraint than Damian would. Being batman is not a birthright it's a job that needs doing.

Of course Damian has more problems than his father. Let not forget who raise him before bruce came along. It not like his mother and grandfather was role models to look up too. They didn’t teach him morals or to value humanity. And not like the environment was rainbows and sunshine. Nope brutal And harsh training. Also Damian didn’t had support or people to lean too like Bruce did. So course he have more problems than his father. Soon when Bruce came along Damian gotten better. He learn to value humanity, loyalty, the important of family, trusting in others or letting people in and Forgiveness. All of that we see throughout the movies show his character development and progress since being with Bruce. Also Damian got a chance to be normal kid or an kid. Finally gotten to be his age. Damian's so cute, I love the fact his face reveals his feelings, like at the beginning every time he says something hurtful or rude, for a spilt second his face flinches, like he believes everyone is like his Grandfather and he'll get beaten or something. The other bit I love is when he tell Bruce to be safe and cover his drink, like for everyone else in the world that would be embarrassing but if Bruce, Dick or Alfred phoned Damian and said use protection and be safe when drinking alcohol, Damian would generally take that as being cared and loved for.

I was one of the people that kinda hated his attitude in the beginning, like the creators were trying way too hard to make him badass and edgy. But then, after thinking about it more, he’s actually the most similar to Bruce-personality wise and philosophically-compared to every other Robin. Dick Grayson is the only male character ive seen that has Eldest Daughter Syndrome. he took the worst of the parenting, he feels duty to protect the younger siblings, he had to forgive and forget his grievances and be understanding with both sides acting as a bridge. man deserves the world.

Yeah, Damian has a lot of issues and I think a huge factor is also that Bruce was lost in the time stream for a long time so Bruce just doesn’t really know how to deal with who Damian is. And well, dami was basically raised by Dick while he was gone. I think that Bruce might also be somewhat jealous of that but doesn’t know how to connect with Damian like dick, who’s way more emotionally intelligent, does so he’s jealous of his own son for knowing his other son way better and being more of a father to him than Bruce could be. And Bruce doesn’t know how to talk about this and Dami is probably someone who needs facts like “I love you” spelled out to him bc he was raised in an environment where he couldn’t assume familial love to be a constant

I sorta hated Damian at first, but I gave it some thought. He is literally just a miniature version of how Batman acts (Cold, blunt, a bit unapproachable) and literally raised by psychopathic murderers. I think it's a bit understandable that he's a bit lacking in the social department. Also come on, half the time he was spitting straight facts lmao

Okay, I thought that this was a fire nation au where Damian was a tiny Zuko due to the thumbnail.

Even if he is a warrior, he talks like a 10 year old, which is exactly who he is. He always says the truth without thinking too much about the consequences it can have on people

Most of his quotes maybe harsh but he does speak the truth and he isn’t as manipulative as Batman because he speaks his mind. I don’t like the boy but he does have valid points, I respect Damian Wayne’s point of view.

I like that you can tell his accent isn’t a strong when he first arrives ( it’s the small things that count )

I like how Damian genuinely cares about Bruce and is trying to protect him,it just goes to show you that Damian isn't just a stone cold,blood thirsty maniac

"Everything that goes on in the tower is my business, just like it should be for all of you." See, if this was the worst Damien got to I'd be fine with this. That line actually isn't really that bratty, I could see Batman saying the exact same thing. It shows caution WITH comradery.

Can't help but agree with some of his quotes.

I love my blunt angry birdboy I think what a lot of people dont understand about damian is that he isnt trying to be a brat and he isnt trying to hurt anyone's feelings. To him, he is only telling the truth. Of course it comes off as bratty and rude, but damian doesnt regard social propriety and courtesies when he does things. His view of the world and his views on teamwork and family are shaped by his upbringing, and these views are reflected in his actions. When you look at it he really is just an angry kid brought up in shitty circumstances by shitty people.

I don't see him as bratty. Rude, yes. Not afraid to speak his mind, yes.

Damian, for how much of a brat he can be, has a way of knocking other people's egos down a peg. That's why I like him so much, because there's always substance to his words, even if his words are a little rough around the edges.

You know what, seeing this video makes one further cement the theory that the al Ghuls really just cloned Bruce Wayne while still inserting their DNA in Damian (to continue the al Ghul bloodline) while Damian was being engineered in the test tube. Connor Kent/Superboy (from Reign of the Supermen movie) and Damian need to get together and bond. There's even a short story near the end in Superman/Batman Issue #75 (Oct. 2010) where Connor and Damian in the future have taken the mantles of their fathers.

he got such good lines, really shows what kind of person he is, not afraid to say whats he feeling and stuff

Damian was always my favorite Robin. Mostly because he brought up some really interesting character for Bruce. I remember Bruce expressing to Alfred his fear of not being able to fix what Talia and Ra did to Damian and Alfred telling him that he's not a mechanic but Damian's father. There was also a scene where he as a way to be a good influence had decided not to grieve on the day of his parents' deaths but instead celebrate their anniversary. There was also Bruce learning that simply saying, "I'm proud of you" could be a great impact and that hug afterwards was so sweet. Basically, Bruce had to learn to be an actual father not a mentor/guardian. As for Damian, when you boil down to it, he was basically created to be the perfect heir and warrior. There's a strong inference he was abused growing up and thought it was normal. But he's also a kid who wants to see his parents' together, who wants to make his father proud, and loves animals. He works best with Dick because he catches on pretty soon and in the comics isn't afraid to treat Damian like his actual kid brother. You see Damian being a kid and then it becomes even sadder when you think about how he grew up. I mean his mother pratically admits she has a replacement ready (Leviathan) if he choses Bruce over her and when he does and she makes it clear that he's now an enemy and Damian only takes it as something to be proud of and expresses that he hopes he's worthy of it. That's...really sad when you think about it.

Damian went from being my most hated to most beloved DC character not named Batman. He’s a complete badass.
