@@DynamiteGuys no bru he clearly cares about dick, Jason, Tim, and Barbara he even saves all 4 of them and gives up being Batman to do that if you look at the mission with Harley you can see him bonding with Tim sort of, during the penguin and croc missions he trusts dick and bonds with him alittle too, Jason he tries to save him from his trauma and realizes he made a mistake and in the end he got him to turn somewhat good, he also mourned for Barbara when he thought scarecrow killed her, Arkham Batman is very complex sounds like you need to play the games again

Definitely does hit hard for sure. Watching the funny part in the beginning all the way to the end. The ending part where Bruce says, "you're always looking out for me" as he smiles and the camera pans out showing all four of the knights watching it having their moment makes you want to cry almost. It did for me. Very strong moment there. 😔🙏🏽 It's like 4 kids lost their dad and are watching 💔😭. I had to go hug my wife and tell her that I love her. It hit me that hard. This might only be a game, but in reality, we're all human. We all live, we all love, and we all die at some point. Let's never take any of our loved ones for granted. Tomorrow is not promised for any of us. Godbless you all and much love and peace to you all 🙏🏽❤️

this was such a wholesome scene right here. video games really need these type of "bloopers" to bring more of the humanity in game characters. the only time I can recall bloopers done in video games was in star wars bounty hunter, and you can really see the characters making these silly mistakes and laughing it off. a really great scene here.

I think Dick has a special bond with Jason simply because he was the one who personally passed the mantle to him. Barbara has Tim as mentee, they're both tech smart and Dick can't have that special bond with them. I supposed Dick wants his pet brother too, and that would be Jason, since both of them are the brawns of the group.😂

@@KyranSparda Ironically, none of the Robins were really ever able to pass the mantle properly. Dick was fired from being Robin by Bruce, and Bruce gave Robin to Jason. Considering 'Robin' was Mary Grayson's nickname for Dick (born in spring), having another kid wear the colors of his own family made Dick resentful of Jason a lot of times, even at the time of Jason's death in Death in A Family, they were not that close because of this resentment. Jason died, and when he came back, Talia manipulated the circumstances of Tim being Robin as Bruce replacing Jason, and cultivated his murderous hatred for Tim. Tim became Robin after Alfred gave him an altered costume to save Batman and Nightwing from a trap - not to mention Tim already badgering Batman to become his Robin after Batman had become dangerously volatile post-Jason's death and causing a lot of collateral damage (ex. beating a wallet burglar so hard he broke bones...just because he stole $50). Tim wasn't able to give Robin to Damian - Damian arrived in the family and constantly threatened Tim. During Bruce's perceived death at the hands of Darkseid, Dick essentially fired Tim as Robin and gave the mantle to Damian...after telling Tim that they were equals and should be able to trust one another. Instead of talking to Tim, the brother he was closest to, about giving the mantle to Damian, Dick did to Tim what Bruce did to him - take something so important to someone and give it someone else without asking. Considering Tim already was a in a rocky mental state after the consecutive deaths of Kon and Bart, not to mention Bruce's, as well as Damian's continued murder attempts, Tim decided to abandon Gotham and search for Bruce himself, and finding him, with the help of Ra's al Ghul. All of these are pre-N52 comic lore, which builds upon the foundation of the popular Robin mythos.

He not only kept the recording on, he saved it.

I'm getting Batman: Wayne Adventures vibes from this.

On the one hand I’m impressed that the new game has the guts to actually kill the Justice League as advertised. On the other… come ON Rocksteady! Any one of us could be given three weeks and come up with a better story that gives the characters and audience proper RESPECT. Did they honestly think we’d retain enough interest in the game to come back for a second “season” after it outright insulted pretty much EVERYONE? It’s like if I openly cheated on my girlfriend and then went “Don’t worry! I’ll take you on a cruise in two months that’ll fix everything!” as she’s crying her eyes out.

I've always found this was one of the most important parts of Batman to be honest, and I wish more people realized it and portrayed it in their stories: Robin, and later the rest of the Batfamily as a whole, helping Bruce to grow past his trauma.

@@tracytron7162 Honestly, we do get glimpses of this in many comic storylines but they (probably DC higher ups) always need to have some batdrama just to make sales or something. We had Bruce and Jason reconciling in the climax of RHATO (Rebirth), being able to sit side-by-side despite ideological differences...and then two comic issues later, Bruce is beating Jason to death because he believes Jason killed the Penguin and he didn't have faith in his son to believe him. Bruce bringing Jason to the site of his death in Ethiopia because he wants Jason to remember where the Lazarus Pits were so he could bring a dead Damian back (aka forcing your trauma-stricken son to face even more trauma where he died just so you could bring your other dead son back to life). We have Bruce and Dick bonding, with Dick being there to see Bruce without the pain of losing Jason yet,...and then we have Bruce forcing Dick to pretend he's dead (causing so much emotional backlash from Dick's friends when they realized Dick lied about his death) and not getting any comeuppance from it. Bruce and Tim hugging, wishing Tim well when he decided to go to college in N52...fast forward in Rebirth where Bruce punches Tim so hard he literally flies off, when Tim only tried to comfort Bruce. Bruce and Alfred gaslighting Tim during his 16th birthday by making him think all of his family and friends were dead...because Bruce wanted to test how Tim would operate in extremely trauma-inducing scenario.

Nightwing flapping about in the beginning reminded me of The Riddler at the end of Batman Forever.

Robins color in the game is orange and is the youngest and goofball of the group, much like Michaelangelo, Batgirl is purple I think, she's the tech savvy one just like Donatello, Redhoods color obviously red is the hothead loose cannon just like Raphael and Nightwings color is Blue and is the obvious leader of the group just like Leonardo....

I know this is just a game but... This is so wholesome that it is starting to make me feel so... Just a 2 minute clip has already displayed their family chemistry from Bruce to the kids. They wanted to have a meal with him so much just like how we as kids would always want our parents to spend time with us even though they are busy with work. And clearly we can see that Bruce was contemplating between an doing an important mission for his contingency and spending time with the kids. The saddest thing was that this came out to prove that it was indeed an important thing that Bruce had to do when he died.

He always has. A lot of media gets him wrong in my opinion. His most well known trait is that he’s smart. A lot of smart characters in media are often presented as serious, or extremely focused. But that was never Tim.

GK is better, making batman die in a blaze of glory and his death actually having an impact on the characters around in the world. To get my point straight let me ask you this, if you are designing a sequel for a game that has a dedicated community but wish to have the past main charecter to die beacuse of reasons, would you rather make the death simple and easy to understand or epic and meaningful

​@@yaboinuggy1663 Not even close, that game doesn't even feel like a successor to the arkham games and doesn't match the ton or gameplay and this game isn't disrespectful to batman and actually kills him off in a more respectful way and not the middle finger death we got in SSKTJL hell the whole justice leaugue was killed disrespectfully and how they got brainwashed by Brainiac was so stupid. how can you say that game is better than gotham knights with a straightface is beyond me gotham knights has a higher rating for a reason lol that tells you all you need to know. Gotham knights is far from a great game but i'll accpet it as canon and spiritual successor to arkham knight over SSKTJL anyday.

Pretty much everyone say stuff like that whenever something worse comes out and suddenly people started treating said game or show that people said was horrible as superior. But in all honestly before kill the justice league even came out, I didn’t think Gotham knights was all that bad, honestly I actually liked the dynamics between the batfamily in this.

Whats sad is Gotham knights was orignally suppose to be a follow up to arkham knight but was scapped and made into its own thing in a different timeline I honestly would accept this as canon to the arkhamverse than SSKTJL anyday.

Holy crap, the fact this isn't some bonus video or something makes it a lot more emotional

Like how Dick is the last one to walk away, feels right to me as he was that bat's first adopted child.

one of the very few things I think this game got right was the Bat Family acting like a family

Despite the fact that this game wasnt really good, it did something the suicide squad didnt. It respected Batman.

I adore seeing Bruce bond with his family, one of my favorite aspects of Batman is how much he cares for each family member, Alfred included. What I am sad about is that we may never see Duke, Cassandra or Spoiler in this game since many fans do not mention them.

There like the B or C-team, there not THE Batfamily, but kind of like the backups to the Batfamily in lesser stories. Greater Associates are what you would call them. Maybe a revamp is in the works to where there not the Batfamily but spies in the field helping Commissioner Gordon and intern with Bats as a sidekick.

People have mixed reviews for the game, but I hope we can all agree that the bat family here really felt right

The game is an absolute GEM, I don’t even like wb Montreal and thought this would flop but I was sooo wrong , it’s a fantastic game and anyone saying otherwise either hasn’t played it or has ridiculously high standards that will never be met or most likely they are being paid to bash the game

In my experience, the story and characters are awesome, but the gameplay is meh. It's almost exactly like the Spiderman games and I wasn't a huge fan of the combat in those. But I mostly play video games for the stories they tell anyway. I also think a lot of people are really salty about the 30fps cap on the 60fps-capable next gen consoles despite the game not even being available on the old consoles that are stuck with 30fps, where it would make sense to make the game only run at 30.

@@xKingx16 I like how he was the one to force Bruce to stand up, I think that’s in character 100%! But his writing afterward is not really fitting. It’d be much more fitting if he just said something simple like “Come on Bruce.” Or “Don’t make me carry you to the dinner table in front of everyone.” Because everyone in the Batfam knows he’s the only rival or maybe even superior in raw strength to Bruce. Mental and physical strength be it.

Canonically in the comics he is heavier than Batman (tho shorter) If you look up panels where Jason and Bruce stand next each other, you'll notice that their height/weight difference is very sling. Not like NIghtwing who is always drawn so much smaller than Batman. ;P

Damn, this really hits hard for some reason, it's great to see a video game do what films usually do when it comes to generating positive vibes.

That was really wholesome! Even though sometimes the animation can look a little off, it's so amazing to know that they've still got that magic that makes the Bat Family feel like an actual family. Dick, Barbara, Jason and Tim were all taken in by Bruce and he's supposed to be like a father to all of them. This is the Bruce I know. I wasn't feeling the idea of Bruce being dead at first, but now I'm even more hype for this game. I can't wait until it comes out!

Seeing his whole family like this is so wonderful. Especially if you read the comics. You get the vibe Batman is at the end anyway, he fixed his family. He loves them all, so much. What else does he feel would be necessary before the end?

Even with all the flaws of this game, you could tell that they really did the Batfamily justice here, giving them all true chemistry and care for each other.

Even if Gotham Knights didn’t live up the hype, the story was kinda better than Suicide Squad. *Also Talia Al Ghul is a certified baddie in this game*

Watching the Batman having a proper family moment feels weird. My man has been in pain for most of his life.

I really liked Batman in this one! This is what I like to see from him more often, him being likable open & balanced in persona and showing that he's still a person with actual feelings.

Theres a sweet moment in the Red Hood comics where Jason is sick and cant go onto patrol. Bruce takes the night off and they each watch a movie together at the end of the issue. This scene reminds me of that.

Just watched all the cutscenes and I think this is definitely the best scene out if the whole game.

Ngl the gameplay might be abysmal, but man the story is always the best part of this game. Might be the only reason why to play the game(Or watch the cutscenes on youtube). A better send off to batman's end than that suicide squad game ever did.

After seeing the leaks to Sushi Squad, this looks like a more proper Batman send off than that joke of a game will be.
