Some people have said trading for Dame was a "panic move" by the Bucks. If anything was a panic move, it would have to be the Celtics trading for Jrue because that was a direct response to the Dame trade. Boston basically admitted they weren't good enough to match Milwaukee at that point.

Two things can be true. Milwaukee made that move because they weren’t the East’s favorites before the dame trade it was in direct response to bostons first move tbh 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think Boston is slightly better but it can go anyways experience matters and I believe that’s on the bucks side

I have been a Bucks fan since I was a little kid. I was born and raised in Milwaukee. It is crazy to see how far Giannis has taken the Bucks. If it wasnt for Giannis we would have never even had the chance to trade for Dame. I remember when the Bucks sucked for a really long time. I am 34 so I seen a shit load of bad teams. The Bucks were able to build a whole new arena a few years ago because of him and its just crazy to see that the Bucks have a legit shot at winning the title on a regular basis. Hopefully theres a lot more years like this to come. I cant wait until the NBA season starts!!!! I couldnt be happier to have Lillard on the Bucks now its going to be crazy watching Giannis and Dame in that Pick N Roll together.

I don't know if Dame knows what he actually wants. First he said publicly he wanted to go to Miami then he said Milwaukee is where he's supposed to be.

As a bucks fan this is the most excited I’ve ever been for a szn. Really sad to see Jrue go to Boston but Dame has always been one of my favorite non bucks players in the league. Shits like a fever dream, I’ve said YEARS ago if we could get him to pair with Giannis our offense would be crazy

@@andrewjones4774 Living in Wisconsin my whole life I would pick Miami weather in Winter which is not has hot and as humid during basketball season vs Milwaukee weather anyday of the week especially during basketball season. Ill choose sun vs clouds, cold and snow. At the same time Being a lifelong Bucks fan and basketball fan im happy for Dame he is the best position hes ever been in.

I know he wanted to go to Miami, but I am so happy dame is on a contender. I hope he can get one!

@@sinkthe8Giannis was injured in game 1 only played 10 minutes and he missed out on games 2 & 3 and by the time he came back in game 4, Heat were up 3-1 so heat were lucky. Now imagine if they face a healthy Giannis paired up with health Lillard and Midilton in the playoffs.

What might see games where both Dame and Giannis go for at least 30. Heck we might see a game where Dame gets 60 and Giannis gets like 40-45. This season about to be crazy.

I think it will happen, just because few teams could stop their pick and roll. But I think on the season they will average 26-28ppg each with Middleton maybe getting 16-20ppg if he's healthy - Khris will just have some open baskets. But think about a high pick & pop with Dame & Lopez, with Dame going into a P&R with Giannis if he keeps the ball with Middleton as an outlet shooter and Connaughton running a baseline cut.

I was a blazer fan because of Dame. I remember watching him battle Kobe and he showed very early he was ready for the biggest stage. Unfortunately, blazers never were able to build a good team around him. I’m glad to see him be on a contender and have a teammate like Giannis!

I think he is going to have to adjust the most. He'll still be a force but not the 2nd option. It will be interesting to see how Giannis adjusts as well. Dame is a "real deal" type of player.

​@@11riehldeal I somewhat agree, Giannis has had good to elite defenders at the point spot. EB, Jrue, Jevon. The only "non-solidified" defender was an aging George Hill, even then Hill was known to be defensive minded. As a Bucks fans I am concerned. Hopefully, Coach Griff can help them out with new defensive philosophies. Lowkey, the success relies more on Coach Griff and Co. than the players.

I think that a better answer from Dame about the Portland fiasco would be that he's leaving the franchise in good hands anyways. Scoot has a bright future ahead of him and it's clear that they want a rebuild. Dame doesn't have time for a rebuild. Simple conflict of interest. They need to move on from each other.

I thought this also, it was a great move for Portland to ship him to Milwaukee since it's a small market team as well. I'm glad Dame acknowledged that as well--he feels comfortable and can embrace this small-market franchise and fanbase.

I'm happy it was a small market team that got him. Every time Giannis' contract is coming up, every time a star is disgruntled or a free agent, sports writers have them penciled in for the Lakers, Heat, or Knicks. F*uck them, the rest of us exist too. The only big city franchise base I have sympathy for is NY just because Dolan looks like a terrible team owner.

Did you expect him to say different. The way this situation played out over the past months, it carries a foul stench. Portland helped teams that are in competition with the Heat while they're carrying unproven players and a bunch of mystery meat picks to be determined. Im buying this bs Cronin did well. Whenever you set your franchise back 5 to 10 years that's foul. There's so many NBA franchises that don't know what the hell they're doing its comical and Portland is one of them. 😎
