Dame Edna makes Robin Williams laugh out loud

Ойын-сауық

Dame Edna, also known as Dame Edna Everage, is a fictional character created and performed by Australian comedian Barry Humphries. Dame Edna is an iconic and beloved comedic figure known for her distinctive appearance, flamboyant personality, and sharp wit.
Dame Edna is portrayed as an elderly, eccentric, and slightly outrageous woman with lilac-colored hair, exaggerated makeup, and extravagant dresses adorned with glitzy jewelry. She often wears oversized glasses and is accompanied by her signature accessory, a "wisteria-hued" or "gum-leaf-green" gladiolus.
Robin Williams (1951-2014) was an immensely talented and beloved American actor and comedian. He was known for his quick wit, improvisational skills, and ability to bring humor to both comedic and dramatic roles. Williams' energetic and frenetic style of comedy, coupled with his remarkable range as an actor, made him one of the most respected and cherished performers of his generation.
Born on July 21, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, Robin McLaurin Williams initially pursued studies in political science but later shifted his focus to acting at the College of Marin in California. He continued his education at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he honed his comedic skills and developed a passion for improvisation.
Williams rose to prominence in the late 1970s with his role as Mork in the television sitcom "Mork & Mindy." His portrayal of an alien from the planet Ork, with his rapid-fire delivery and unpredictable humor, showcased his unique comedic talents and endeared him to audiences worldwide.
Throughout his career, Williams showcased his versatility by taking on both comedic and dramatic roles. He starred in numerous iconic films, including "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Jumanji," "The Birdcage," "Good Will Hunting," and "Patch Adams," among many others. Williams received critical acclaim for his performances in these films and demonstrated his ability to seamlessly transition between comedy and drama.
His role in "Good Will Hunting" earned Williams an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, showcasing his ability to delve into deep emotional performances. He also received several other prestigious awards during his career, including multiple Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Beyond his work in film and television, Robin Williams was an exceptional stand-up comedian. His live performances were a masterclass in improvisation, with his rapid-fire delivery, wide range of character voices, and ability to connect with audiences on a personal level. His stand-up specials, such as "Robin Williams: Live at the Met" and "Robin Williams: Live on Broadway," are considered iconic and are remembered as some of the best in the genre.
Sadly, Robin Williams battled with personal challenges throughout his life. He struggled with substance abuse and depression, which ultimately led to his tragic death on August 11, 2014. His passing deeply affected millions of fans and fellow performers around the world, highlighting the importance of mental health awareness.
Robin Williams' legacy continues to resonate, as he is remembered for his extraordinary talent, his ability to bring joy and laughter to people's lives, and his contributions to both comedy and drama. His impact on the entertainment industry and the world of comedy remains indelible, and his performances continue to inspire and entertain audiences to this day.

Me too. But then I watched more closely and I saw what she was referring to was cocaine. Watch how tight he's holding his arm so it doesn't shake. That's the coke. When he got off the coke... he did learn how to be okay with himself. That damn lewy syndrome is what got him in the end... not the bipolar. I can say that with confidence because I my step father had it. I watched what it did to him and he did not have prior struggles with mental health. He was the most chill man I've ever known. The damn lewy syndrome made him angry, then mean, then he completely faded away. It takes over the brain and shuts it down. My step father didn't remember us at the end. Robin's story is absolutely heartbreaking but he had really good times too.

bary suffered terribly from alcohol addiction like robin with cocaine (he said that drug really changed him) so behind the scenes im sure they both found solace in each others sadder side. Oh THANK YOU! 🎉 I was scrolling through the comments, hoping to goodness someone would enlighten me as to which Burgess she’s was referring, as the only one who came to mind was Anthony, the obviously wrong one. (Fun Fact: Did you know that Glasgow’s subway is called the Clockwork Orange?) Now… I’m off to find out who the heck this John B is! 🤔 And you’re away to check out 🚇🍊🤣

I think you may want to recalibrate that scale of yours Brad because if that’s the case, God only knows what you’d class Lee Evans as.

@@fang_uk just looked up and watched something by Evans. There is a sense that he's terrified to let even one second pass in silence, very like Robin Williams. You can tell that what Dame Edna says here hits Robin very hard. It's really kind of mean, but that's comedy, I suppose.
