I was privileged to spend an evening with Dame Edna during her Final Farewell Tour at the Los Angeles Ahmanson Theatre in 2015. It was blissful evening with the brilliant and magnificent treasure, Barry Humphries and his beyond-delightful persona, Dame Edna... truly a night I have and will never forget. He was an absolute one of a kind and a gift to us all. RIP, you funny man.

@@lapalad Ridiculous that they changed it! It was part of a tongue-in-cheek act for goodness sake. There was no malice in it as far as I can see. Her appearances with Matt Lucas and Will Young (the latter on the Rob Brydon show) had such leanings and they were hilarious - and I’m a gay man! There’s a difference between comedy and homophobia. Dame Edna, I believe, was not guilty of the latter.

I don't manage to get through the first minutes without cracking up ....or the unbelievable desire to hit the "comments section" ....",most women would not admit to the fact that they are glad their husbands have died "....Lord , Dame Edna .....you are the voice of reason in the insanity Lockdown has become ! Thank you ....the original Possum.

They desperately needed one, he provided it. Take the word black from his act.... he hasn't got an act and if that's not racist against whites, what is? By the way, do you know hw once did a film where he 'whited up' That's right, he was made up to be white.... you RACIST Lenny, when are you going to apologise to every white person in Britain for that outrageous RACISM and why is everybody going out of their way to conceal the fact?
