On my patreon page, I began to explain the processes and secrets of my work. Topics already covered:
1. Why do I add pepper to container Damascus steel.
2. What do I sprinkle? Flux and its composition.
3. How do I remove the container from the workpiece (container Damascus steel).
4. Why am I drilling a hole in a container.
5. Why do I sweep away the dross from the anvil with my hand.
6. Why do I first forge some blanks on a tree.
7. In what and why do I soak the blank before forging.
8. In which granules do I place the workpiece after forging.
9. What kind of white powder do I pour into the container.
10. In what liquid do I develop the pattern on the blade.

An artist, a craftsman, and a videographer. There is nothing better than seeing a fresh "shurap" video on my feed during a Sunday morning breakfast. I'm glad you're safe. The dagger is gorgeous, and the damascus pattern is very unique. I hope this dagger finds a good home. I also hope the war ends soon.

ok I'm just going to call it now. does anyone else see that he welds a smiley face onto the front of the preformed rough blank when he seals the top? I was just discussing forging with a coworker and it turned out we were both fans of shurap. we both agreed that the easter eggs you leave all over are absolutely one of the best parts. also that you are one of the most soothing channels yet somehow informative without narration. thank you so much shurap!

@@xBlackThoughts I've assumed that at some point someone asked him why he puts salt and pepper in his forms (which are I assume some form of white reagent and the "powdered" steel) and he added pepper and sometimes salt and chili flakes too. :-) Kind of like Tanya Shpachuk's "why do you solder the frets?" ;-)

Jeeze that is a thing of beauty. 2 things I look forward to in a shurap video. The final reveal, and the tea.

I find myself looking every week for a new video, and when it comes out I’m watching it the day it posts. I was just thinking about how many times you had to try the new pattern with the starting type of steel and end up with what you wanted. Kinda like taking photos with 35 mm film and having to wait until it was developed to see if you took a good photo or not. Stay safe and keep making videos the world is watching.

Always love seeing these videos. 1. They are relaxing. 2. It tells us that you are still safe and working your craft. I just wish I could purchase some of these blades but I doubt you could ship them to me (Im in the states) and im broke. Keep doing what you are doing and know that a TON more people than the media might say are supporting you and your country throughout this conflict.
