Damaged Futon

Ойын-сауық

The plaintiff purchased two futons from the defendant’s furniture store. Unfortunately, the plaintiff alleges they broke two weeks later, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant argues that he agreed to fix the furniture, which he insists the plaintiff abused.

In my opinion, the plaintiff damaged the futon. I have assembled enough furnitures to know that the split was from mishandling the furniture. Alas, a $1000 iPhone breaks in the back pocket when mishandled and the furniture has many such opportunities. It always surprises me how many people can't fix their own stuff. But hey I get it if it's new and the store is willing to come and fix it for no charge, like my mom's couch... They even replaced it the first time, and then after the warranty passed they fixed it once . But years later I now have it and I have fixed it numerous times. Eventually I will have reattached all of the springs with brackets instead of simple staples that it came with.🤔

If a person doesn't want to sound ridiculous then "numerous of times" isn't the phrase you want. Numerous means many so you would just say numerous times. Numerous of times is what sounds ridiculous and isn't grammatically correct. You want to sound like an intelligent consumer especially when trying to get what you need and want. The more intelligent you sound, the more likely you will be successful. I hope that may help someone who is trying to get their money back. This woman did not say this but it made me think of the many times I've heard it said in instances like this. Only trying to be helpful.

"numerous of times" is correct and usable in written English. It is usually used when referring to the number of occurrences of something. For example, "I have seen that movie numerous of times.". You wanna try again?

Futons don't work for kids. Futons of any kind..we have a verrrrrry expensive one but we're adults. Kids not even abusing it , it's still not for kids or teens or even college age kids. It's not adequate and won't last more than a month. Doesn't matter the manufacturer or quality.
