J.R. was the classic TV show villain, but most people regardless of financial status would question someone just showing up and declaring I'm a member of the family.

The lack of security on Southfork always got me. This is a wealthy family who had two kidnappings. Surely they would have state of the art securty and Jamie would have been stopped at the front gate.

I thought Jennilee Harrison was pretty good. She was good in the Dream Season. I liked the Dream Season I thought Dack Rambo was pretty good as well who played her brother Jack. The Dream Season was pretty good because it showed a charitable and gentle side of the Ewings with the adoption cancer research Sue Ellen recovering from her alcoholism and getting back together with JR. It had some great story lines.

I liked that scene when Jamie comes to JR's office and asks him not to destroy Cliff and JR tells her that he won't if Cliff leaves him alone, which he won't. Later JR and Cliff ends the Barnes/Ewing Feud. I liked Jamie in the Dream season as well.

Jamie Ewing Barnes has the notoriety of being the only Dallas character to be killed off twice. First: being killed by a bomb in the Dream Season and again due to a climbing accident (off screen).

+laminage, in most scenes, JR was always a jackass, and his son John Ross eventually followed in his footsteps, however, JR had a point in how hostile he was to her. He hadn't seen Jason in a long ass team so there you so. He didn't know Jason didn't even have any children.

You know looking back, Ray & Jenna should also keep in their place. After all if Ray wasn't Jock's Son, and if Bobby was still married to Pam at that time, him, Jenna or even Donna would have been hanging out at Southfork. Lucy should talk to Jamie and remind her what she told Pam after she and Bobby got Married how they don't take too kindly to "Outsiders".

According to Dallas: The Early Years, Jason never knew any of Jock's family including Miss Ellie. They had a falling out after Jason sided with the KKK and ended up burning up their recently claimed oil field.

What always puzzled me about the Jamie character on Dallas was how she effortlessly transitioned from being a "roughneck" with a coarse disposition, to that of a well-mannered, refined, and cultured woman. Growing up in the rough-and-tumble world of oil exploration, you think her behavior would have been coarse with language and lacking civility; such as taking a swing with her fist at JR in one of their confrontations.

However,he used her as well,because of her 8 or 10 percent of Ewing Oil. I was happy when her character were finally over. In fact I am watching that season on DVD. She was 25 years old and not once in her life did she ever call the dallas ewings or write a letter or send a Christmas card. Her entire plan was to bring that document and try to take ewing oil. She like cliff believed her daddy's lies "Mean old Jock stole e everything " The early years movie tells the truth Digger was a drunk a gambler and a loser drunken bum . Yes he could smell oil but that's all he did. He got drunk and left Jock with all the work and responsibilities Jason tried to double cross Jock by selling his Ewing oil shares to Newman and siding with the kkk .Jason ewing was a scumbag Then Jason left Digger drank his money away . Jock tried to help digger

I always wanted more relatives of the Ewings. Jocks people- his elderly mother would have been a neat addition- she comes out to visit after Jocks death and we learn why JR is why he is as she favored and encouraged his "behaviors."

In reality they would have notified the police and had her background checked to verify she was indeed who she was claiming to be. Then at that point its debatable as to whether she would be accepted into such a wealthy family. More often than not family members are rejected by other family members if they are not part of the immediate household.

Jason Ewing was Jock's brother and they were in business together when Ewing oil first started. Jason and Digger Barnes were both alcoholics and Jock bought his share out, and Jason moved to Alaska to work in the oil fields and I think squandered all of his Ewing oil money and died broke. Jamie mentions in this scene that she barely had enough to pay for his funeral. I guess she didn't bother to even call Miss Ellie when Jason died. lol...I guess Jason married late in life and Jamie was his daughter. Even Miss Ellie comments when she gets home, a few episodes after this, that she had didn't know that Jason even had a daughter, but she wasn't expecting his children to be so young.

Can't help but wonder how Jock would have treated Jamie after all she was his niece but hated her father after they had a falling out. Jock wasn't exactly nice to Garrison Southworth when he showed up.

True ..but Grayson was from Ellie's side of the family. Jamie was a blood Ewing...I think jock would had been nice to her. He was always nice to Kristin and insisted that she called him uncle jock when he was not her real uncle...he was Jamie's true uncle tho!

There are several storylines in the series that would not work today. Like was the one guy really jock although everyone new Jock was dead? Is this girl really a Ewing? The one thing that would render all those store lines mood is DNA. If they have DNA back at this time a lot of those questions would’ve been answered pretty damn quick

Ray is rich in his own right also, since we found out he was Jock's son, but he couldn't afford a bathing suit? He's wearing cutoff jeans. LOL
