Morgan Brittany did a great job as Katherine. She had a ton of tough scenes and lots of very over-the-top dialogue but she always managed to pull it off.

Morgan Brittney should have stayed on Dallas longer. Her portrayal of Katherine is unforgettable.

I totally agree with everything Katherine said. First her dad dies, Katherine's mom gives Cliff her father's company, he ruins it, Rebecca is killed because of Cliff, etc. She also finds out that she had two siblings, etc. This is what made her nuts. Now she's dead in the Dallas universe (cause unknown).

I mean, I never agree with anything Katherine says, but she had a point with Cliff Barnes, her brother. His plans just always had a tendency to backfire, and their mother got killed because of his reckless. Like I said, if he hadn't put so much of himself into that feud with the Ewings, and pulled others like Rebecca Wentworth with him, she might still be alive.

Absolutely! Katherine was a dangerous psycho, but she was right about Cliff and Pam. First off, Herbert Wentworth would likely have never married Rebecca Barnes had he known about her background and two children she abandoned. He definitely wouldn’t have left her his entire estate after his death. Not sure why he left everything to Rebecca, as Katherine was an adult and his only biological heir. Rebecca lied through omission throughout her marriage, then left 2/3 of the Wentworth fortune to the Barnes clan. Katherine had a right to be pissed, especially at Cliff receiving any part of it. Rebecca had been warned and Cliff openly used her and her money. Pam acted like she was hot shit after inheriting an equal amount to Katherine of Herbert’s fortune. How many times did we have to hear Pam declare “I am a very wealthy woman”? - or, laughably - “I’m so rich I will buy your clinic and walk in as the owner!” Miss Ellie never spoke of her immense wealth in such a tacky manner. She rarely spoke of it at all.

Loved it when JR tells her he played the tape for Bobby, and she says... "I'll kill you JR !" ... She delivered that line and the anger behind it perfectly.

If they had starred in the final two seasons they would have. Every irrelevant character imaginable got opening credits (James, Michelle, Callie, that atrocious Leslie Ann Down character). Surprised Teresa wasn’t in the opening credits then 😂. She was a more authentically Dallas character than those bottom-of-the barrel characters I listed!

She was a great psycho villain. She could have teamed up with JR more often to make things more interesting and they could have driven Pam and Cliff out of Dallas with all that power.

Morgan Brittany was fantastic as Katherine. They should have given her a full time leading role on the show. Also she was and is devastating beautiful as well as a fantastic actress. Would love to see her back in a prime time role.

6:20 Morgan worked closely with her make up artist and camera crew to design her signature evil wolf eyes. She was a wonderfully sick warped character and writing her out was one of the biggest mistakes the producers made, especially as she had come back from the dead post dream season.

I agree. Morgan should have stayed with the show forever. She was one of the more dynamic characters, and they should have utilize her more. She could have been an ongoing nemesis/lover of JR four years. I was totally bummed when they wrote her off. I also thought it was a mistake to lose the Donna character as well.

I discovered that she was one of the little girls in THE BIRDS during Kathy's birthday party.

Morgan Brittany was so great on the show. . . she did an excellent job playing this villain. A stunning beauty that played this part so well . . .. to the hilt!! Kudos to Morgan Brittany . . . was of the best vamps that was ever in the world of Dallas!

Catherine Wentworth was the scariest most evil woman on TV at the time... I've never seen anything like it.. She was an iconic character that gave me nightmares for years... The scene where bobby got shot, the hospital scene, the terrible killing of bobby getting run over and Catherine's face getting revealed was the most frightened well filmed scenes I've ever seen growing up.. I'll never forget her! She just wouldn't die! She kept coming back each season and was driven by her Jealousy!

Morgan Brittany went on to a short lived series titled "Glitter". One thing that bothered me about Katherine's attempt to kill Pam (with her car no less) was that her car hits the gardener's truck at a very modest speed. When they remove the wig to revel her identity, she looks like she hit a Mac truck at 70 MPH.

God, Morgan Brittany as Katherine Wentworth is intensively, super-duper hot! One of my favorite most gorgeous actresses ever!

The death glare Morgan gives Larry at 6:20 always gives me life. Katherine was Dallas' version of Dynasty's Alexis and Knots Landing's Abby, especially the latter's make-up methods. A totally underappreciated and highly camp character. Thanks for the upload.

Morgan Brittany was fantastic as Katherine. They should have beefed up her role and kept her on instead of making her crazy and killing her off. MB is still absolutely gorgeous today, would like to see her back starring in a series. Also she has the most mesmerising eyes.

She left the show in 1984 to take a starring role on Aaron Spelling’s Glitter, which turned out to be short-lived.

They should've kept Katherine on as a powerhouse against JR,instead of making her a nut then killing her off.

LookingIand Yeah, I guess they (the writers) thought us viewers were dumb, as if we didn't notice what happen to Katherine in the 1986-87 season. Just like Dynasty with their so-called reunion in 1991, no mention of Rex when he and Alexis fell over a balcony in the last season of the show in 1989. Both shows really got ridiculous in the mid to late '80s.

+MrJuly1990ish No, she isn't dead, and in fact, after Pam plowed Bobby's Mercedes into that transport truck and was wrapped head to toe in bandages while in the hospital, Katherine stole into the hospital room and paid a "sisterly" visit to Pam. Bobby stopped her. And this was 2 seasons after Katherine supposedly died in the car after trying to run down Pam.

Suzanne Cupito ( later known as Morgan Brittany ) appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds in uncredited role in 1963. You can clearly recognize her as one of the schoolchildren running from the birds after leaving school. Her stunning blue eyes stood out even then.

Why Morgan Brittany wasn't featured in "Dallas's" original opening sequence during the years she was on the show, I'll never know.

She wasn't a regular and before Dallas wasn't well known as an actress. She did a movie of the week , "The initiation of Sarah" where she played a secondary character opposite Kay Lense, Morgan Fairchild also had a role in the film playing the vileness. Morgan Fairchild was the first actress to portray Jena Wade on "Dallas" in a two part episode. Morgan Fairchild would later be cast as bad girl Constance on "Flamingo road" . "Flamindo road" also starred Howard Duff and Barbara Rush. It had all the element that made "Dallas" and "Dynasty' so successful but after 2 seasons it was canceled due to low ratings. When "Dallas" decided to bring Jena back as a regular the role was offerred to Morgan Fairchild but she turned it down. ABC was developing a prime time soap for her to star in, "Paper dolls" . Sadly that was canceled after 9 episode due to low ratings. Fairchild should have jumped at the chance to be a regular on "Dallas". She later showed up on "Falcon crest" for one season.

Katherine is the most incompetent assassin ever. The injection attempt was the easiest possible assassination, but she screwed it up. He was blindfolded and almost asleep, for god's sake. When she shot him 3 times, she still did not manage to kill him (or even shoot him when he was on the ground). Even when she ran over him, she only managed to die in the process herself (dream retcon or not).

Totally agree with you. Unfortunately Dallas was always very ambivalent about powerful businesswomen on the show. We got a little bit of it with Pam in the dream season, and Sue Ellen was able to go out on a high when she left. But it was always a "boys club". But the thing about Katherine was, even though she was crazy, she was also SMART. Which is why she was a great villain. She wasn't stupid.

Should have added the scene where Pam confronts Katherine on her wishing to divorce letter that she wrote in Pams name !! That was a killer scene !!

Yes, I understand and agree with you. However, you have to remember that Katherine and Pam only met each other as adults a short time before that. They had no time to even form a true sisterly bond. Not to mention the fact that they were only half sisters. I’m not saying that half sisters can’t love each other as much as full sisters, but my point is these are two sisters, who didn’t grow up in the same family as children, so there was no time to form any kind of bond really. And so when Katherine first met Bobby, she instantly fell in love with him, and so she really didn’t have that emotional filter a sister would have if she had known her sister longer. Plus, she got a bit perturbed early with Cliff when her mother gave him a job at her father’s founding company. Kathrine first appeared in that episode meeting Cliff with that smile, but we quickly saw after that, that her character was showing some signs of jealousy and resentment ( not unfounded) toward her newly discovered siblings. She got along with Pam, but probably more so because she was harboring those feelings for Bobby, and the closer she stayed to Pam the more excuses she had to see Bobby.

Sometimes she looks like Morgan Britney and other times she looks like Vivian Leigh. Of course, she’s played Vivian Leigh several times but when her is styled a certain way playing Katherine she looks just like Vivian Lee. It’s amazing. I always thought she was pretty. She wasn’t Victoria Principal pretty but she came pretty close. Dallas back in the day was awesome. Good memories.

Abby was always much more in control. Kathy was kinda crazy.

The scene with Bobby and JR and Katherine when she said "its not over yet!" and stormed out had a few people (me included) thinking maybe Katherine shot JR in the reboot. Some time before the reboot even aired Morgan had made the comment that she'd return as Katherine if asked. Figured maybe that was the big build up as to who shot JR on reboot but then Cliff said to his daughter "and your aunt Katherine is dead" and from there hopes went down hill. A waste. I bet the Rylands wouldnt have dared to mess with Katherine had she been on the landscape.

I don't understand why they didn't bring back Katherine full time after Victoria Principal (Pamela) left Dallas for good. She was such an incredible villain and very interesting foil to multiple characters on the show.

Did you know that Morgan was the 1964 movie marnie by Alfred Hitchcock.Only her role was cut out.

Dallas had many villains on the show over the years, but the Katherine Wentworth character was the only one that was truly out-and-out PSYCHO! Morgan Brittany was great in the role.

Katherine was marvelous. Her two-faced act was a lot of fun. They never should have written her off the way they did.

Fucking Great!

The Katherine character should have remained on the show a lot longer. She could have been a great long standing enemy & alley to JR. Could have even had her and Pam makeup, only to have Katerine betray her again down the line.. Morgan Brittany did a wonderful job of bringing the character to life. In many ways she could have become a female JR-lite... lol She could be resourceful, calculating, cunning, cold as ice and hot a fire. It would have been better if they didn't make her into a full blown psycho.
