JR told Pam that he despised her from the moment Bob brought her home. JR also on occasion had sex with women for reasons other then pleasure. Like to establish dominance or teach a woman a lesson. That was the case the first time he coerced Holly into sex after he told her he runs her or when he coerced Laurel into sex in exchange for helping Clayton. I think he would have enjoyed coercing Pam into sex since he hated her and knew she hated him.

This episode is before She,Bobby,Ellie and Cliff by Diggers death bed confession of the murder of Hutch McKinney that Hutch McKinney fathered Pam not Digger

JR framed Cliff twice for murder, first with Julie, then later with Jamie. Then he framed Carter McKay for Johnny Dancer's murder when it was Cliff that did it.
